My Lift Master was an installed one year ago. The battery should be good. I had forgotten that my restroom breaker had gone out and I needed to reset it. Thanks for the video. It reminded me to check the power to the breaker.
Interesting my new home came with precision wifi opener PDS 900. One button press the belt starts to move and stops and opener gives three beeps like you showed. Could it be battery or something else.
haha, so easy its tough. On that note why do you have to disconnect the battery to get the beeping to stop? Its ridiculous, a simple acknowledge alarm on the opener control panel would of been nice. That beeping is loud! I thought something much worse was wrong in my garage.
I'm having this problem now. But there is power to the opener. Why would the backup batter be done when i've never needed it cause the power has always been connected? and then once the beeping starts it never stops so i have to disconnect it to get peace in my garage. Terrible system in my opinion.
This is so freaking stupid!! Mine is beeping like crazy and it’s only a two year old opener and I have NEVER been without power! So, why in hell is the battery backup dead since I use power from the outlet??? Is there a way to eliminate the beeping and don’t replace the battery since I NEVER USE IT??? If power goes out I can do old school and roll up by my two hands God gave me!!! Stupid design to make you spend money on something that fails and needs replacing smh. Anyone?????
@@g2restore963 that’s the only thing that makes sense - to make us continue to pay for a garage door after it’s installed. Which, of course MAKES NO SENSE. I thought, ok I’ll just remove the battery but in one of the comments OP said it will beep if the battery is removed while its plugged in 😮. If that is true I’m calling manufacturer to see if there’s some other beep kill switch, otherwise it’s time to pursue a class action lawsuit.
3 years later and this video still helping people
Thank you so much!! Really appreciate the conciseness in addressing the issue.
Great video!
Thank you so much! For not wasting time and shared the related information!!

What if I have a power outage? Is there a way to stop the beeping while the power is still out?
That’s the point of the BACKUP battery. A good battery will power the door open so you can still get your car out if the power to the garage is out.
Hi guys , beeping!!!something that occurred with the garage door opener, easy fix when you come . See you soon 👋
Why does it use the battery if the power is plugged in? There hasn’t been any blackouts
It was just to simulate what it would sound like it if actually was in battery backup, obviously in this case we were not using battery backup.

But does that stop the function of the unit all together?
Yes! If you take the battery out then the motor will not operate at all.
but if its powered and its beeping what the fuck?
