i’m pre med and dreaming of becoming a psychiatrist so your videos are so motivating and i love watching you grow and go through this journey! you’re so cute and smart like girl can i be you
You've been missed, Jamie! I am a law student and watching your videos make me feel so energized to keep on working hard. Thank you so much for sharing your routine and study tips with us. Somehow I feel motivated to keep carrying on even if I am having a bad day.
This video makes me want to go into medicine so much, I plan on going to medical school to become a Trauma Surgeon. Your videos really motivate me to work hard.
Close to starting my second semester in european medschool and you’ve been a huge help in the past 5 months. Just wanted to send some positive vibes your way ✨
For a book recommendation I think you should read impulse by Ellen Hopkins. It’s a really great book and it might help you understand psychiatric patients more
I literally rewatched some of your old videos morning wondering why you haven't create new video! It been so long!! Thank God you're back. You've been missed 😊😃
I truly truly appreciate your videos! One of these days im gonna sit down and legit binge watch every single one bc i need all the knowledge i can get! ☺
Crystal Broughton I understand it but sometimes I forget the subject, like for example i studied the brain, sometimes I forgot the whole thing--i even forgot that I studied the brain but whenever someone brings that topic i remember everything. It's either i remember everything or i don't remember anything
I find it really helps if you remember the latin origins of every term; i.e. the "abducens" nerve controls lateral movement of the eye, and "abduce" in latin means "to draw away." In other words, making connections or even metaphors really helps. The brain isn't a filing system; it's an interconnected web of ideas so it makes sense to study that way too!
I’m starting med school this 29th and I’m so excited!! I’ve been watching your videos and they calm me so much, thank you so much. Your channel is amazing! 💗💗
I’d love to see a video on how you schedule your studying. I’m just starting school now and I have no clue how to separate my study time (I’m planning on being a full time student) and what I should study when. Honestly I’ve always remembered what I needed to without studying so I don’t really know how to study either! 😂 Help!!!
it would be cool if you made a video about mental illness and if or how it as effected you or someone you know. And talk about some of the things you learned in psychiatry :) did anything you learn surprise you? confuse you?
I wish you could mention Occupational Therapy in one of your videos or feature them :( I’m an occupational therapy student and I see very few people mention our course :( sorry this was so out of nowhere
Yay! I’m so excited for this years videos! Your channel is so motivating and you really helped me with my decision to go into pre-Med. God bless you and thank you for all of your videos!
Have you done a video of what it is like to have pets while in medical school? I have two cats and I worry that they will be neglected with the rigor of medical school.
Hi Jamie enjoy your videos thanks for inspiring me to be more organized. I was wondering what kind of desk lamp are you using? I'm in the new one and I really like the one you have :)
hey jamie, love your vids. your study with me series keeps me company and accountable haha. i'm going through an emotional thing thats distracting me from my studies, any tips to separate yourself from emotional distraction invading everyday thoughts or study time? thanks for sharing~
Hey Jamie! Do you have to pay out of pocket for all of the trips for your residency interviews? Does it come out of a portion of student loans? I'm interested in how that works so I'm prepared.
Great and inspiring video! I was wondering about something... in some countries you don´t have your own personal white coat, you change into it when arriving at the hospital and then you hand it in for laundry there. So you don´t wear it outside the hospital and you get a cleaned one each time you are there. I´ve heard it´s for hygiene reasons... but it´s not normal in US hospitals? I´ve been watching other medschool youtubers from the US and they even use their own scrubs, here you also need to change into cleaned ones at the hospital like with your with coat. Just wondering :)
Welcome back jamie .. i am starting my residency as a house officer for one year .. we take 2 month rotations in different departments .. if you have any tips about best handbooks to keep with me to keep my information refreshed and get the best benifit from it how to eat properly and avoid aches from 12h shifts .. thank you 💗💗
Jamieeee i've got a question, now that you are only doing rotations, have you replaced your notebooks/books for your iPad mini? like for making notes and reading books, i'm planning to buy one soooo 😅 what do you think? Love you ❤️
Because of you (and Grey’s Anatomy ;)) now I’m pushing my studies to become a surgeon or nurse so I just wanted to say thank you :)
Same!!
Same, and 'cause of the Good Doctor. Want to become a surgeon
exactly
Study well in all your prereqs and also your entrance exam, don’t want to do either of them twice!
I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one keeping non-cosmetic products in my cosmetic sleeve. I'm also keepin tea bags in there :)
I just started following like a month ago. You're are a role model and am relieved that not all medical students are boring.

your videos are always so relaxing as well
Thanks Kaylee!!
white coats are such a big thing in america!!! not so much in the uk - my hospital next year makes us wear em!
They don't use them in Australia.... Also, wouldn't crunching in a bag be an infection control issue?
organization goals for sure! So excited to hear about your match results in a few months.
For a book recommendation I think you should read impulse by Ellen Hopkins. It’s a really great book and it might help you understand psychiatric patients more
I love the overall tone of your videos 😊

Hey for book suggestion, read love in the age of cholera and better, a surgeons notes on performance. Incredible books
I can learn human anatomy very well but the problem is after a week i forget what i have learned.
Any advice please?
Elda Afc omg same. but I think the reason why i easily forget it is because I always sleep late
You have to understand it not just memorize it. Once you understand why this is related to this, and how it makes this work; you will never forget.
Crystal Broughton I understand it but sometimes I forget the subject, like for example i studied the brain, sometimes I forgot the whole thing--i even forgot that I studied the brain but whenever someone brings that topic i remember everything. don’t memorize, but learn the material.
