ACOTAR sat on my shelf for years because I felt the same. What finally worked is I told myself "you're just gonna read the first few chapters of the first book and see how you feel after". Next thing I knew, I finished the series.

START THE CARAVAL SERIES YOU WILL NOT REGRET. That whole universe holds such a dear place in my heart. ALSO idk if you’ve read the naturals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes but you have to. Absolutely loved it literally flew through the books.

Steph, when I tell you that I wasn't very motivated to read the caraval trilogy, I forced myself to read it, and I absolutely fell in love. The vibes and magicalness in the book left me floored, and I couldn't stop reading.
Butcher and Blackbird is bloody AMAZING, the romance and comedy is bloody brilliant. Butcher adores Blackbird and he would literally die for her. Definitely pick it up.
It is definitely worth reading Caraval series before the new trilogy, that’s the way I did it and it was just a better experience all round.
You will LOVE the ACOTAR series, once you start you won’t be able to stop

@@jasmmmxn5335 I read Throne of Glass first and The Assassin's Blade third and really enjoyed this order. It had an emotional impact on me 🥲 Crown of midnight does end with a cliffhanger, be aware of that 🙈I also recommend that you do the tandem read for empire of storms and tower of dawn! It might seem daunting but it feels like one big book where you follow all the characters at the same time!

The caraval series is SO GOOD, I’m the number one Stan for that series and I liked it more than once upon a broken heart. If you like fantasy books about games, riddles and all of that stuff, you would love it!! Also the vibes are amazing, so pleaseeee read Caraval hahah🫶🏼
Caraval, specifically book 1, is genuinely my favorite YA fantasy of all time. Please please please read it, I promise you that you won't regret it! If you like Wonderland by Taylor Swift (which I'm sure you do) you'll love it!!!

as someone who just read the caraval series just to get to once upon a broken heart . i have to say its worth the wait... the buildup was what made the once upon a broken heart trilogy so much more meaningful

you NEED to read powerful because in an interview w Simon teen Lauren Roberts said that the male main character makes an appearance in the third book and you get a lot of background on him that you'll need... also its just so cute
Butcher and blackbird (especially audio) was incredible!! The romance is there! Their spark and comical relief was soooo fun! The killing isn’t disturbing.

Definitely vlog reading ACOTAR! Push through book 1, then you’ll probably ready book 2 in one sitting. The rest are just as addictive
Everyone's comments convinced me to reread ACOTAR 😂 Steph I believe you will love it! I was not getting the hype for the biggest part of the 1st book but then things started getting so good and now I'm obsessed ✨️ I do love the Throne of Glass series a bit more but still, the author did a fantastic job with both series 💌

I try not to put pressure on myself but ACOTAR was the only serie that made me feel left out recently. I love fantasy and romance and not knowing it was like missing something. I started reading it this month and I am on third book now. I really enjoy it, luckily I am not obsessed :D but still these books are amazing. It is refreshing seeing someone else doesnt know them too but I hope you will soon share your opinions and love them too

I started Caraval recently and honestly I also started it just to read the Once Upon A Broken Heart series but omg I got so obsessed I read the first book in like 2 days which is like really rare for me !! I think you would like it, the guy in this is amazing like I'm in love with him. Also the audiobook is really good, I started with the audiobook to kinda get into it and I think it worked ! I'm only on book 2 but it's getting better istg.
The Caraval Series is so good! I feel like everyone makes it out to be something you have to mope through to the get to the Once A Upon A Broken Heart Series. But I think it’s just as good! Definitely a fall\winter read! Hope you enjoy it! ps. read powerful

my jaw fell to the floor whenever you pulled acotar out. Ik it has a lot of hype but its for a VERY good reason. I finished the series 8 months ago and still think about it everday. the first book is boring until the last 100 pages, but I promise its so worth it!!
ACOTAR is so good. I’ve been reading it since April/ May and I LOVE it. I’m on a court of silver flames. Life changing for sure
Powerful is a good audiobook to listen to. That’s how I chose to read it as I was more excited for reckless. It’s quick and easy! Especially since you’ll be moving and on the go.
STEPH I am begging you on my literal knees to listen to the audiobook of Butcher and Blackbird 😭😭😭 it’s a duet, and it adds so much to the experience of the book, it’s unmatched
Honestly, the first half of Ashes and the Star Cursed King is slow, but once you get past that mark so much happens and it makes it worth it. I absolutely loved it once it picked up and read the second half of the book in a day after struggling to read the book for a month. I hope you read it and love it as much as I did 💜

omg definitely read powerful it was such a cute novela! its literally grumpy x sunshine and it happens during the plot of powerless. its forced proximity and also them falling in love was so well paced and felt so natural i love them sm literally gave it 5 stars ❤❤ but yea the ending is for sure gonna break you 😭

the ashes and star cursed king is a bit slower at first bc there’s a lot of stuff going on but it’s a great sequel and gives so much more background info for the characters and much needed for oraya and raihn’s HEA :)) plus the third book (mische’s) comes out this year so!!

Girl I'm like can't comprehend how you haven't read ACOTAR. However, I would say leave them til the new apartment, and in the winter it will hit 100x harder. Its universe so magical I can't keep talking... Need to reread them( just finished them)
Play along, love unwritten and butcher and blackbird were all 4,5-5 stars for me. I loved how long love unwritten was would’ve even read more, play along was wrapped up perfectly but Liz always makes me wanting more!!

Yes N. S. Perkins is a really underrated author, so emotional but in the best way possible. If you like 'love and other words' by christina lauren then you should read 'the infinity between us' by N. S. Perkins - it's quite similar and one of my favourite books of all time!!
powerful is literally a 6 star read for me. it's truly amazing I love their relationship so much and yes it hurts, but I really loved it
I did struggle a little bit with caraval from time to time (perhaps because I had just finished ACOTAR which is a serious roller coaster of emotions). It was totally worth it though because the Once Upon a Broken Heart series was probably one of my favorite fantasy reads! So much romance but without the spice. That goes for both trilogies.
I am reading heartless hunter right now and it's soooo good! i havent been this excited about a romantasy in ages. literally kicking my feet and giggling while also being stressed as hell over the stakes.
