When I was young my mother would give me the Sears Wish Book at Christmas. I would always get a few of the play sets. Had most of the ones you show in videos.
GOOD VIDEO SIR SO MANY TOY SOLDIERS COMPANIES BACK THEN.MY BROTHERS AND I SPENTED MANY DAYS BUYING AND COLLECTING TOY SOLDIERS IN THE LATE50S AND EARLY 60S.GOOD TIMES LONG GONE. TAKE CARE
BMC makes a better one. It has the Amtrak amphibious carrier,The Soldiers are made to look like marines. Plus it has the marines raising the flag. Just saying.
No idea how I missed it, when you showed some images I saw the Japanese figures first two images did not include him, must have looked away, just watched it again and saw he was clearly in there. @@paulknappcollections
LOL Marx had military figures from practically all the wars you could think of, and the only figures you see that are in the act of surrendering are Japanese, who almost NEVER surrendered!
That is the common thought. You know how war and media propaganda work. There are plenty of videos from the archives which show many Japanese who surrendered.
There are toy soldier shows held year round in different areas especially in the USA. I was just at one in Gettysburg 2 months ago. Another large one coming up in September in Chicago. You can buy, sell or trade all scales of toy soldiers. Look into it.

Thats the only time I received toys, Christmas or Birthday. Not like kids today.
Who goes to Sears?

That's the one! Christmas... 1970? '71? Fond memories... =^[.]^=
Rock on!
Hell ya, great fun
This set is very nice and classic.. I wish I had it but I have Battleground and it isn’t bad at all.
I like most of all the Marx vintage sets. Just hard to find sometimes.
This set needs the BMC Higgins boat. The one in this set is too small. It also could use the BMC Amtraks amphious carrier.

So cool, whats the story with the missing Japanese soldier on the radio with pistol? Did the 60s sets not have this figure?
I'm not sure about that.

Nice videos. I like how you are not using your pristine figures to set things up, just like a kid would use! I noticed the 50 star flag, lol.
Thanks for watching, I just set up what I can for pics then take it down and do something else. Just a hobby.

Marx was smart. They'd mix and match parts to make different sets.
Saving money, changing colors and creating a whole new set. Smart
Yes did that with most their sets
What store did you get this from
Ebay sadly.
Back in the day it was Sears

I know right.
I’m not sure if that’s the surrendering act but meh
Maybe they were fake surrendering , which they did do

How do I get this set
Ebay is your best bet right now.
Best set ever
Hours of fun, no doubt.
