Rainbow river is so beautiful. It truly looks reflects rainbow colors. And what could be better than free. I need to go and do some paddling there. Thanks 👍
Hi! November is a great time to visit the springs. Rainbow shouldn’t be too busy over Thanksgiving. If you go the Wednesday before or Monday after, you might have it almost to yourself! 🩵 Have fun!
Hi! You’ll love it. Rainbow River and KP Hole are the two big spots in Dunnellon. I like to eat at Swampys after a day on the water. Ocala is nearby. I highly recommend Santos mountain bike trails, silver river (check out our video) and Canyon zip lines. Have fun!
Hi! Thx for the love. The paddle time really depends on the paddler since you are going against the current to the spring head. Probably around 3 hours. 💙
Next time you're in the area check out our 10 Acre Homestead Turned Glampsite with Rescue Farm Animals. Just under 10 minutes from the Raindow River ! 🎉❤
Hello! Thank you for the video 🙏🏻 it’s allowed to swing at any part of the river? I went last year , but I didn’t saw no one swimming so I didn’t. I really want to, just wondering where it’s okay to jump out of the paddle and swing. Thank you 🙏🏻
Hi! On the state park property (right around the spring head) you have to swim in that roped-off designated area. But once you float out of the state park property (maybe a couple hundred yards) you can swim pretty much anywhere on the river. You may see a few “keep off” signs in some of the private home areas, but other than that rainbow river is fair game. Just keep in mind, there are critters out there, so I would stay out of the darker water and away from the banks! Have fun!
If you want to paddle, I think you should hit up Rainbow. If you just wanna chill and float, Rock Springs! If u wait til the kiddos go back to school, Rock will be less crowded than normal.
There are a lot of private homes along the river. So as long as you can get to it, yes! Blue Run parking area is a good spot if you just want to swim a bit.
So glad I ran across your videos! I am making our "To Paddle" list and the tips you gave were perfect!
Yay! So glad it’s helpful. Have fun out there!
The Rainbow is my favorite river to Kayak in Florida. I only paddle during the week when school is in session to stay clear of the crowds.
Yes! Exactly!
