Okay, admittedly Gabriel Seth is not the deepest character. He knows his role, and he plays it perfectly. He isn't an idiot, as most would believe. He isn't the strongest by any measure. No, Seth has a role that most people don't notice. Endurance. Seth has a mission for his chapter. He knows they are doomed. He is going to go down in as much glory as possible. He saw what happened to the Knights of Blood, in the defense of Baal. He doesn't want to be remembered as an out of control hoarde. He is very careful with his fights, trying to win with as few losses as possible. Except when the act of fighting is more important than the outcome. He literally went to Astorath's tower. The guy who kills the out of control Death Company. Foght him hand to hand, and managed a stalemate. Astorath. The guy who literally puts down the strongest of the Blood Angels. Astorath's first major hit is described as a thunderhammer to Seth's face. He manages to endure it. The fight isn't long. Astorath has a jump pack, Seth breaks it. They both put each other in the hospital. Seth, on his way out says that if Astorath kills a single more Flesh Tearer, he'll come back, but won't be alone and unarmed. Seth would literally start a war to save his brothers under his care. THAT is why Seth deserves the respect he has.
To be a Flesh Tearer is to be the embodiment of the rage that the Angel felt underneath the surface, and having the strength to be the monsters necessary to kill the horrors of the Grim Darkness of the Far Future.
Seth is my favorite character in 40k (in horus heresy it would be endryd). He knows what he is and how people sees him and he tries to act as friendly as he can. in the short story The Assassination of Gabriel Seth, Seth was betrayed by one of his captains and was trapped in a building with a Eversor Assassin and he ofc looses the battle but then his rage comes to him and he starts to win the battle againts the Assassin but his words meant so much to me: 'DIEEEEEEEEEE DIE DIE NOW!' - Eversor 'Not today' - Seth *Punches the Eversor* 'Not tommorow' -Seth *Punches again* 'Not until I am done.' -Seth *Breaks the collarbone of the Eversor* 'Not until my brothers are absolved'
dante "You foster discord, Seth. You thrive upon it!" The Flesh Tearer smiled. "I stand corrected. You do understand my kind after all. You've cut to the heart of me."
Yeah, most people don't get the WHY of that. Seth thought they were acting too superior, that they had no flaws, and showed no anger. Seth only beat him up to make him actually mad enough to fight back. Then he stopped and was like "Good. You DO get mad. See, for all your advantages, you're still like us. And if they made you better at everything else, how do you think you'll manage against the curse?"
@@gidi3250 one time, they tried sending an eversor assassin after seth, trapping him inside a small room with it. He cut off its hands, and took the eversor to the guy who tried getting him killed, literally using the assassin on the guy. Seth knows what he's doing.
@@NemFX Not to much when the Flesh Tearer Primaris were being overrun by Tyranids, Seth personally lead the reinforcements to aid them. edit: I think Seth was the reinforcement which spurred the Primaris to fight harder to protect him.

Devastation of Baal had one of the greatest moments for me. When they all rode out of the internal bastion, and Dante releases, all of the brothers that have fallen to the rage made my heart race, and my hairs stand up. I did multiple deployment‘s overseas and don’t get excited quickly, but that is the second time one of the sons of sanguineous has done that to me. The other time was when the great angel ripped the nails from Angrons head right after kicking kabanders ass. Then my favorite of all the angel Amit puts on a damn clinic by himself out there hunting world eaters. Good lord he was a savage. I love the blood angels, I know total band wagoner, but I can’t help myself.
I have made peace with the fact that everyone loves blood angels and that one of my favourite factions are one of the most popular. They are just that great

Thank you for this awesome video. Gabriel Seth is one of my favorite characters in the Warhammer lore, as I'm a massive fan of Flesh Tearers. Whilst people think that Seth is not such a deep character, I tend to disagree. Being one of the blood, they are more than raged warriors as they have to constantly battle their own rage, their own mind not just the plethora of enemies that threaten the Imperium. Seein an Imperial Guard garrison in the arse-end of the far reaches of Imperial Space being overwhelmed for weeks by a foul xenos. Just as they breach the Imperial Fort, the first of the soon to be tital wave of the Flesh Tearers drop pods literally come hammering down into the middle of the enemy ranks with an ear splitting 'BOOOOOOM!' And the first drop pods come hammering down, crushing foul xenos under crunching, hydrolic steel doors. Then out leaps none other then Gabriel Seth himself. *Glorious*
I just know Amit and Gabriel Seth would get along so well. Neither are boisterous, or loud like the space wolves. They know their shit and were about it.I think out of any of his Sons, Sanquinous was the most disappointed in Amit fighting in the pits of the Conqueror. He wanted so much more for his Sons, and standing among the World Eaters, I know he would see what the future his sons would have burden with his anger bestowed upon them through the geneseed. Seth is what Sanquinous feared the most for his Sons. But he would also be impressed with Seth’s restraint and care for the Black Rage marines. I was very happy when Dante extended an olive branch to Seth with the feather given to him. Sanquinous’ Sons need to be united. Especially with the Great Devourer and the Rift opened.
