Great overview! I'm glad you did this video. As I read and listen to people talk about living in or thinking about moving to Alaska, the issue of taxes (pros and cons) pops up enough to make it worth focusing on. If a person is on a relatively fixed income or earns a lower wage, navigating the various economic challenges of living in Alaska includes property taxes, whether it be as an owner or renter. In comparison to my area in Virginia, the AK property taxes are higher, but we also pay a bunch of other taxes too, so it comes close to balancing out. As the old saying goes, there are two things certain life, death and taxes! Thanks for doing this video, Jamin, it is practical and good info.
Myself would say again look at our constitutional law about property taxes they are not supposed to be charging homeowners it's all the revenue and games this needs to be addressed for American people to have a piece of mind towards their investment.
