Lovely in that Tidioute Oily Creek Bone - as a substantial working blade, I think the Tidioute finish suits it better. I just managed to get the last UK-export #93 in that Northfield cocobolo (today!), so it will have to do!! With that flat edge and tall blade, it's going to make the most awesome cheese knife for next summer's picnics! Happy days...

Great review; it's got me excited to receive the 93 I managed to snag. As a UK collector availability, shipping and customs fee is the bane of my collecting life. Sometimes I do okay, like on the Case CV Barlow you sent me:) Wish I could get a CK 77 Barlow by GEC.
I just bought my third GEC#93 Oily Creek bone Rams-foot knife . My best priced and darkest Oily Creek bone color yet. I did well.

Called the cloud shield on that coco it’s one of my fav shields
"Cloud" shield and "Keyhole" shield are both correct. That shield goes back to 90 to 100 years.
Cocobolo is my favorite handle material but it’s a lottery, it could look like fudge and caramel or cheap pine. When it’s good it’s so good.

Hi can I ask what are the best sites to order GEC when they get released.
I believe that’s the “keyhole” shield.
Both names keyhole and cloud shield are correct.
These sell for $125-$130 all day long on ebay so consider yourself fortunate, relatively speaking. I know, I know!
