Really lovely video and captured the spirit of the amazing weekend. It seemed to be much busier in your vlog than ours so guess we managed to miss some of the crowds 😀 Fab vlog thank you x Rachel & David
Thanks for sharing I was born in the Northeast and love Whitby. Walked up to the Abbey hundreds of times and I miss Haddock and chips with proper vinegar so much.
dear dark and beautiful friends. how fangtastic to see people who are at the festival....how much I miss everything about this..enjoy yourselves dear darkling s.darkling iss...elyzabeth Countess Wild.. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Have to say these goths fascinate me, didn't realise there were so many with older people and Orientals joining in the fun, the costumes are amazing thanks for the post, all new ground to me.
Hi my name is Christopher Evans i am fascinated to this whitby goth weekend i only live in Teesside Stockton-on-Tees not far from there and i hoping to go next year with a group or someone or people or help on a stall Even there is Steampunk event on the Arc this weekend
Holy smokes! I would quickly become unsettled and aggravated in the midst of such a pressing crowd. I like open space. What I found very agreeable was the fact that no one (or very near to no one) was smoking. (I did see one woman appearing to vape.) Was there some ordinance in effect for the event, or is it indeed the case that smoking is becoming a rarity? If this was, say, in the 1970s, the air would be thick and hazy for all the burning tobacco. I grew up in that world, and despised it.
I disliked Whitby and the Goths; the place I found wet and the people rude. They had the fine qualities which bore me - thrift and industry and long-faced holiness, and the young women are mostly great genteel boisterous things who are no doubt bedworthy enough if your taste runs that way. (One acquaintance of mine who had a Goths clergyman’s daughter described it as like wrestling with a sergeant of dragoons.) The men I found solemn, hostile, and greedy, and they found me insolent, arrogant, and smart.

Great atmosphere and some brilliant outfits, what I didn’t like was so many people walking & climbing on graves, really disrespectful 😞
True say. Thanks for watching

Why are most of them 50+? Nothing Goth about them, its fancy dress.
@@shona1578I wonder why they are all of the 50+ age group though, very few 20-30 year olds doing it.

maybe you're having issues because you're an absolute bellend.
Insolent and arrogant certainly.
But smart?
Stay away then !
Maybe you're just the sad arsehole whom thinks you can have everything your way 💀💀💀💀💀
these steampunk people need to stay the hell at home on goth weekends. its ruins the gothic theme
Why didn't you dress up?
Some don’t believe in dressing up or don’t feel comfortable it’s fine
@@randomgirlonyt3221 There's a "scream factory" nearby where everyone dresses up like zombies. Filipina nurses are the second biggest group of customers after native English
Maybe because the Goth festival is precisely that, a 'Goth' festival, a music based festival and not a silly fancy dress parade
@@jimpickens4067 I will rephrase my question just to keep you happy then :- Why didn't you dress up like a Goth?
@@vaughnwilliams1208 and how does one dress like a Goth as you put it?
