I have a Transit workpack and a transit backpack from Bellroy. The shoulder strap will loosen, and backpack gets lower and lower even as i walk and move my shoulder... I wasn't carrying a very heavy load and just 15inch laptop, afew textbooks, a 500ml water bottle and some small accessories, weight total of less than 4kg. Bellroy's shoulder straps have been a problem since I bought both my backpacks from them in October 2021. It's a major design and materials flaws and frustrating when using their bag on a daily basis. I hope viewers make sure that problem is fixed before buying. Anyway, as of December 2022, Bellroy offers no solution to that.
I reached out to them and they said it should be fixed now if you order from their website (they don’t guarantee it from other retailers as they might have old stock)
Got it yesterday and its asymmetry drives me nuts. The main compartment zipper ends are not on the same level. Left part of the zipper is so wavy and the whole front panel has folds on the left side. And clamshell opening is also not straight but sideways. "Fun" thing is that your workpack looks crooked the same way.
Thank you for watching and that’s awesome you’ll be able to test it out soon! It’s pretty great and based on some of the other bags you’ve reviewed I think you’ll enjoy this one a lot!:)
awesome review Danny! I have been researching a workpack for many months and your videos helped me narrow my decision between this and the Aer City Pack 14L. My question for you is that I was concerned about this backpack lacking a sternum strap. Should I reconsider my choice? I also planned on using this as a daypack for travel but there will be instances that I am not wearing the bag for too long. Also I have been hearing that Bellroy kind of struggles with comfort of their shoulder straps. How would you comment on these straps?
If to be used as an everyday workbag, is it ideal for carrying lunch? Just sandwich, but think of those vegetables and sometimes soupy dishes together with ample sized water bottles. And lastly, would a small mirrorless camera like the Sony A6600 or Fujifilm X-T3 can inside in any of the side pouches and top shelf compartment? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks
Thank you for watching! I do think this would be able to handle carrying a lunch bag the open layout of the main compartment. As for the camera, unfortunately I don’t think it would fit in the side pockets or the top compartment with the lens attached, separate you might be able to make it work
Thanks for the video - I'm considering this bag as a gift for a tertiary student. My must-haves are 2 water bottle pockets, water resistance and excellent laptop protection. I particularly like the elevated laptop sleeve for this. 2 questions - is the lining of the water bottle pocket/s waterproof/resistant? The water bottle and a folding umbrella that he'd carry would need this. Also, would the tech compartment in the laptop section accomodate a headphones case for over-ear headphones if the main compartment was empty at the top?
I am a Tech guy and am looking for a 16 to 18 liters quality Backpack for my everyday use. i have already used Timbuk2 Walker Backpack (1st G) and Timbuk2 Walker Backpack( 2nd G). I live those Backpack cuz they are very easy to move around with 13 laptops and a few other things. i have my eyes on Bellroy Venture Backpack but it looks big for me. can you recommend any backpack for my everyday use?
Any word on the new Minaal Daily 3.0 for minimalist long term travel? Thanks for all your videos. As a older (69) long term traveler, I find your information very helpful and accurate.
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the videos have been helpful! I haven’t had a chance to test out the 3.0 but based on my experience with the 2.0 I would say it looks like a solid daily bag overall, it can hold a surprising amount of stuff for its small footprint although the transit work pack feels like it can hold significantly more. For the minaal I’ve also never been crazy about their harness systems but that just may be my personal preference. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)
Thank you for watching! This is definitely a great all around bag! I do think the 26oz might be a little too tight of a fit in the side pockets. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! Very tough call between these two! I prefer the organizational layout on the cpl and the additional space is nice, but I like the laptop pocket and the aesthetic of the transit pack more. If I had to pick one I might lean towards the bellroy but both are really great bags! Not to make your decisión more difficult but I would also check out the lunar pack from Aer / ministry of supply which I like a little more than both of these :)
Can it stand up on its own empty? Really a shame about the luggage pass-through, I think only the largest of the 3 sizes in this series has it. It's such an easy addition and I can't imagine costly. I don't get why they wouldn't put it. Especially if it's a work pack meant for this type of thing!
Thank you for watching! Unfortunately the bag does not standup consistently well on its own and I agree on the luggage pass through, would have been perfect on a bag like this and really don’t understand why it would be left off
Hi Danny I’m thinking of getting this or another one you have reviewed the wandrd duo daypack. What bag would you say it better for edc I don’t use any camera equipment any feedback would be appreciated 🙏🏻
Thank you for watching! Both are solid options and it will depend on some of your organizational and aesthetic preferences. Even if you don’t use camera gear that much the duo has lots of pockets of various sizes to organize your stuff and it feels a little more weather resistant. I would however still lean towards the bellroy as I like it’s laptop compartment, aesthetic and simpler layout a little bit more. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag:)
Thank you for watching! Unfortunately I think this would be a bit too bulky and stiff to work well as a packable bag (you might be able to get away with it if you put your packing cubes in the bag or something like that and it’s a bigger travel bag you would be putting this into but I don’t think it would be a great experience)
Thanks great video ! but I’m still struggling to choose between this one and the classic backpack because i prefer the form factor of this one and i think it will fit my lifestyle beter but the classic backpack is substantially cheaper wich make me really hesitate
Thank you for watching and definitely a tough choice between the two! Both are great daily bags overall, I think it comes down primarily to how much you want a clamshell bag and if you prefer to have the extra organizational pockets. Both can hold an impressive amount and have good laptop protection (although I prefer this bags laptop layout since it’s in a separate compartment than the main area). Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags!:)
No back strap for the for a carry on piggyback, and no secure outside pocket for a water bottle are major flaws for the price of this backpack. Everything else looks great. While traveling throughout Europe, people are traveling lighter and smaller. This could have been one of those excellent backpacks.
Thank you for watching and good points! Those would have been nice to see on the bag and I agree this is a great bag for more minimal travel around Europe!:)
@@dannypacks Trust me, the very first thing I look for in a backpack is the ability to lock it somehow, whether it be a thin TSA lock or even a zip tie, that's what infuriates me about Peak Design bags even though I have many of them. 🤦♂️
I just received mine today.i super like it!
Plus after watching this review, it assures me that i did a great a choice!
Thank you for watching and that’s great to hear you like the bag! Still one of my favorites
Fantastic video, excellent bag. Thank you for also showing us what it looks like with packing cubes in the main compartment.
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful!:)

Use it as my daily carry. Thanks for the review
Thank you for watching and I’m glad to hear you’ve been enjoying the bag! This is definitely one of my new favorite edc bags!:)
Thank you for this review! You helped me decide on my new bag! New sub.

Once again your great review made my buy a backpack and this one is really great. I recomment. Thanks 😁👍
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! Hope you enjoy using the bag a lot that’s been one of my favorites of the year!:)

Spotted! 😃 Thanks for the feature Traveling Salseros :))
Thank you for watching and awesome job on the kit! Will definitely continue using it a lot!:)

My next backpack :)
Thank you for watching and definitely an awesome option!
Hi,
I want to buy it all black as your show. Please help me to send the link where I can buy it. Thank you
Will you be able to do a compare video of the navigator sling 6L versus the aer sling new bag? Love the videos keep them coming
Thank you for watching and I’m g

That really looks like the next backpack I want to use. My only question is if it will fit a yeti 26oz rambler.
Thank you for watching! This is definitely a great all around bag! I do think the 26oz might be a little too tight of a fit in the side pockets. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)
I love your reviews as always!!!
Thank you for watching! I really appreciate the support!:)
Picked this bag up second hand for £30 , looks brand new apart from a little mark on the inside. Bargain
Another excellent video! Choosing between this and CPL24 as a carry on.Tough call. What do you think? Thanks again for a great video!

so is this considered a carry on or personal item
Thank you for watching! I have been able to use this as a personal item on flights and it fits under the seat in front of you
That is a big 20L. I have a GR1 21L and it is not as roomy. Love my GR1 tho, perfect daily pack for my needs.
Thank you for watching and I agree, definitely a generous 20! The 21 GR1 is still one of my favs and it can also hold more than you would expect!:)
Wondering if this could be a packable daypack? Or is it too bulky?
Thank you for watching! Hi, which packing cube did you use in the video?
Thank you for watching! That is a compression packing cube from arcido :)
Will a small umbrella fit in side pockets?
Thank you for watching! Yes I was able to fit an umbrella 11” tall in the side pockets
You best
Thank you for watching!:)

Those zippers should be lockable, you should be able to attach a lock to those D rings.
Thank you for watching and that’s a good point! I hadn’t thought of that but I can see how you could get a lock through them!

gud video
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful!
That back panel is just a minus
The 28L transit bag is around 200 too. This is overpriced
Thank you for watching and that’s a fair point! I really wish the design on that had been similar to the larger transit bags or the classic backpack!
