Hi Baseem. The user roles are core to WordPress, but groups are unique to the Permissions plugin. They are similar, but you can use groups to easy add a very custom set of permissions to some users.

I wonder if this can restrict user to post within the category they're assign for. **Can Department A only post in "Department A" category.??
