    For future situations, on the Chrysler 300, if you have the key in the Run position, you can turn it from run to accessory to run to accessory and back to run and it will display the codes in the information cluster

    My old 300 (2007) had check engine light every time i needed a oil change, for some odd reason that would come on every time before the oil light. The check engine can be intermittent just make sure to plug her in to a diagnostic obd every so often.

    If you want to diagnose that Check Engine Light, do the Chrysler Key Dance
    It sounds silly at first but you'll understand why it's the "Key Dance"
    Put the Key in the Ignition in the Lock Position, then turn key to "ON" position and "ACC" Position Three Times, and you will see codes pop up on that Gauge Cluster's LCD Screen

    So what year is this one? And the Bentley badge, where was this done. My SRT 8 was assembled in Austria, RHD, by Magna Styre, which is owned by Daimler, and 2008 was last year of Daimler Chrysler Corp. I have heard of this series being badged both Daimler and Bentley? Is this true, particularly for the Russian market.

    Don't you get to test drive these at the auction lot so you can tell before you buy about the transmission issues?

  • @MarketingCoachKen
    @MarketingCoachKen 4 года назад +6

    Looks like you buy a lot of cars without inspecting them first. Time for a change. These mistakes can often be avoided, and you're too experienced to buy cars that you should have not bought.The 300c was just typical reason why people don't buy junk from dealer auctions. A lot of Dealers don't care when they need to sell a problem vehicle at auction.

    • @SergeyPip
      @SergeyPip  4 года назад +5

      I agree to, to some extent. Earlier that week I looked at 90 cars. That's 90 cars that you have to walk around, start, and potentially drive. Just to buy 2. It's a lot of time to inspect every single car. And as much as I would love to, I just dont have time to spend hours at an auction to inspect every potential vehicle. ADESA has a condition report, and this condition report was inaccurate, which did not disclose these issues when they should have. At the end of the day, if you dont take a risk you wont get a reward.

    • @MarketingCoachKen
      @MarketingCoachKen 4 года назад

      @@SergeyPip Well that explains how this can happen. I don't think the viewers who don't primarily use the auctions can understand how much time/how many cars you might want to check out before auction. Sounds more difficult knowing you have to do all this inspecting, and then compete on the bidding with other people. And when I say "don't buy junk" I mean a car that has a check engine light or something that a seller intentionally put in the auction knowing it was going to be someone else's loss or nightmare. Most of the time we wont buy junk intentionally, we get tricked into it. Sometimes even a private owner will not tell you the true problems and reason for selling their car. I've bought a few that I found what was really wrong with them on the drive home or shortly after.

    A canadian car would have the speedo in kilometers not miles

    • @SergeyPip
      @SergeyPip  2 года назад

      This Chrysler had a Canadian issued VIN on the door pillar. Very common for our area, considering Canada is like 5-6 hours north. Legally, when a vehicle is imported into the US, the speedo has to be changed to MPH, but the on board computers are still left as is. You can change those settings to US spec.
