Talk about write what you know. Director David Leitch was a stuntman/coordinator turned director, who directed a movie about a stuntman. He definitely went full circle.

We really enjoyed it as a family it should have grossed way more at the box office!!!! The only thing I would change-i would maybe cut a love story just a tiny bit.

You sinned the movie for having the hero be a stuntman by saying that Once Upon a Time in Hollywood did it already, but the excellent movie Looney Tunes: Back in Action did it before both of them. Brendan Fraser, the hero, is a stuntman for a parody version of himself.
I'd have sinned having someone other than Ryan sing the theme song. Lee had no issues with this, and he wasn't exactly known for his singing prowess. But I immediately picked up on The Six Million Dollar Man sound. Loved it!
The whole romance subplot was a sin, tbh. They coulda cut out like half an hour of that crap, and the 90 minute movie that'd remain would be a much more enjoyable experience for it.
Which is funny because I remember someone really hyping that up for being emotional and stuff. But it's pretty blase stuff. Hell, I felt more for his more understated romance when he was playing a stuntman in "Drive". Still, I certainly would reccommend at least one watch for the film since it is interesting enough to let people come to their own conclusions.
@Cinemasins, as a Sydney resident, i definitely think someone could spend some time confirming the geography of Sydney. Based on the context we've been given in this video, I'd've thought the "High Noon at the edge of the universe" was a reference to the movie High Noon being used as a comparative description to the in-movie-movie that appeared to be a space western.
I actually liked this movie but I might be biased as I watched in a 4D theather in Korea where the chair moves and large+small fans blow wind whenever he falls or when there is high speed movement.
