I love how you can really tell L while taking his job seriously also kind enjoys the challenge of finding Kira like a hunter trying to find the ultimate prey
comparing the L from the English version to the L of the Japanese and Korean versions, this L seems more focused on finding Kira rather than condemning him. This L feels more tame and even a little ambivalent to Kira's motives where the other translations are very harsh on him and even think he's an idiot for trying to play god. I don't hate the change but I find It interesting that they went the more analytical route rather than a passionate/driven route for his character.
