It was an anthem that was played after University of North Texas football (Amercan football) games. I was somewhat a tradtional song played after our football games in North Texas :)
Finally, the Bleacher Report gets something right! With most of its members coming from the internationally famous UNT College of Music the Green Brigade will rarely lose a half time show and win the Mean Green football wins--it's a double win!
For what year did Bleacher Report rank the band as 1? The drum line is no surprise having that ranking but of all the great bands in this land, rank number 1 is extra special. :)

@@hallomee4801 I was referring to the audio. You'll notice somewhere else in the thread that another question was raised regarding it being from a CD or from a live performance.
@@YourSoundStudios I am aware that you were referring to the audio. I was referring to the fact that the picture was just a picture and that it was not recorded live. Not to mention the lack of noises that would come from the spectators. so yes it was too clean to be recorded live. It was either taken from JW Pepper or a CD.
It was recorded in the UNT Murchison Performance Arts Center with the full marching band. It is recorded new every single year and released to all members of the marching band.
I was 7 years old when this was posted, and now I am a freshman who just completed their first marching season for GB
Material like this makes me proud to be an alumni of both UNT and of the Mean Green Brigade, class of 1983.
Absolutely gorgeous
So proud to be a member of this wonderful group. UNT college of music class of 2018

Brought in by Nicholas Williams who directed the drum corp Madison Scouts, whose corp song was YNWA :)
Not true, we played it before Nick got there
Been played by the Green Brigade since 1982....Dennis Fisher started it
I love Nick, amazing guy, but it was there way before Nick.

I love it!!
is this off of the CD or is this from a performance? It sounds a little like the CD.
I'd say it's a bit too clean to be live.
who said it was live? Literally nobody is moving in the video... it's just a picture.
