    In 10:00 in the for loop to fill shading, if I remove "where=df['GR']>=index" it will return a log with black shading, can anyone explain why?

      Do you mean "zooming" in on a particular depth range? If so, this can be achieved by changing the y-limit values.
      For example:
      plt.ylim(4000, 3000)
      Hope that helps
