Damn.... y'all thought of every last single thing. It's amazing what you've done with this car and everything that comes along with it. I'll surely buy one as soon as I total my can am and get paid out by insurance.
I was a part of quick inventory tools system development for the military back in 2002 through 2004. Made one of those almost just like that out of a pelican case. They still make and sell them.
Not sure why anyone is upset because production has been pushed back. Im positive that those with a mechanical production background instantly recognized that Robby's time line was overly ambitious. If you want the bugs worked out before you receive your sxs you need to give them as much time as is needed. Quality can't be rushed. The big three test vehicles for two years and millions of miles before a new vehicle is released into production.
Two questions: Who makes the tools? You mention Snap-on and Mac as if to use their reputation but then also mention a Swanson tool. Two ends of the spectrum there so who is making what tools in the kit? Question two, what is the warranty on the tools? Again, you seem to ride the coattails of Snap-on and Mac to instill an idea of quality in this toolset but do you offer the same warranty that those manufacturers provide? I would love to put this in my trailer but if everything is Swanson made, I think I will pass.
The tape measure is made by Swanson. Unlike Snap on, we do not provide a life time warranty. The product would sell for 4 times the amount. We used to offer the same kit for $3500, but do to increased volume we have been able to reduce the pricing.
@@SpeedUTV where’s the bulk of the tools in this kit made? Cardboard box packaging the black and orange one has me wondering with slanted eyes. Tape measure is American made. Understandable since we aren’t metric. Craftsman is now Taiwan and junk. So what are the Mfg of origin with these?
@@wsy480 I don’t think it’s a bad price if the tools are good quality. Go look at a set from Boxo, not a huge name in the business and their prices aren’t great. Obviously snap on, Mac, Matco, Cornwell, etc will all be more expensive. It looks like a pretty nice setup. Tool quality will be the deciding factor as to whether the price is justified or not. Now, can you get some craftsman, kobalt, husky or harbor freight tools cheaper? Of course. Just depends where you want to spend your money. I have all of these tools already, but to have them all in one rolling kit is a nice feature.
@@DoubleTap702 It would be awesome if we could buy only the Tool box with the compartments and pads (with no tools) so we can add are Own personal tools, cuz been able to carry all those tools in that small compact box sounds awesome
Sadly Gordon had horrible representation of all tools at the sand show. the rep at the show couldn’t even speak English or answer a single question regarding the tools. I went in to the show with cash in my pocket to 100% walk out with the tool kit and after trying to speak with the representatives at the show regarding the Gordon Speed tools, I was so put off. I decided to not move forward.
@@bobbychuck31 I believe in Speed UTV and realize the timeline was a little out of the realm of possibility, but the more of this I see- the videos in accessories and tool kits, and time in Baja racing ultra 4s and TTs- instead of videos of testing and production cars being put together the more I wonder if we will even see what we’ve been waiting for for another year. I’m on the first pre-order list and was given an expected delivery date of this month, but I’m curious to see if I will even have a car by Nov next year. I hope we see development and assembly in cars, not accessories and more testing soon. Thank you for your hard work Robby and Speed team, we are patiently waiting... but I think I speak for several that would like more transparency on development and timeline 👍🏼
Nice work Kyle and Robby, quality stuff 👏🏼

Awesome set of tools. Nice setup with the pelican style case. I like the die cut tool trays
Any one else hear Billy Mays? "But wait, there's more!"

This very true that's why I'll be waiting for the 2022 model year....lol

This! Also, it is a pretty complex puzzle but all the pieces are starting to fall in place.
It’s 1499 totally worth it. You can sometimes find one on sale 1350. Great set of tools.
Awesome! Looking forward to it!
Impressive set of tools.Whats the warranty on those tools? How do you replace broken tools?
Very nice! 5S with a heavy dose of Speed style.
Should coat std. and metric sockets different like you want to do with your wrenches.
That would be a nice kit to take drag racing
Really nice how much ?

No kidding you could put all this together at most half the price.....this is actually pretty obscene that he's charging this much for this kit
@@wsy480 right..!,considering the snap-on tool chest i was looking at is $1385 without the tools lol.

Love robby Gordon but those tools look cheap China crap
I have a question Speed UTV... why are you wasting time on tooling and promotional branding when our cars are late in production?
It is a part of the accessory package.
