I like the idea of her just in a magically induced coma forced by the hat so she wouldn't fight the hat. So instead of a corpse its a body that passes all the body stuff like temperature, breathing and all that stuff. One counter spell and suddenly theres a woman flailing and going through jet lag or something. I like the sentient witch hat thank you for the idea for my next character.
I like the idea personally of the body being dead, but in order for the body not to rot, the hat began magically operating the brain and slowly magically healing the damage with magical energy. ... But surprisingly, this very slowly revives the person. First the hat finds the body has began to sleep walk at night. Then, during the day, the hat begins feeling a bit of resistance at times. Eventually one day in the mirror as the hat is trying to get the fussy body dressed, the body starts mouthing something, and the hat has the horrifying realization that the body might slowly be returning to life due to the magical energy and the healing...

Bruh, you just created my old OC when I was a kid. The only things missing are that the girl is alive and is in a symbiotic relationship with the hat alongside that the girl wears a cape that is an extension of the hat. And from the cape comes out two huge demonic arms that the hat can summon and beat the villains up while the girl cast magic. Yeah I was a big fan of parasyte when I was a kid. The idea of a friendship that was never meant to have been made but somehow came to fruition due to freak accident or horrific incident and both of them can relate and become closer to one and another was something I liked very much as a kid.
Would the hat try to find a way to reanimate the girl after learning so much about their past, that they feel genuinely connected, feeling like a brother/sister to the person they wear?

The girl's body was found in a castle dungeon? That implies one of four things: 1: the girl was an indentured servant, to put it lightly 2: she was an enemy of the kingdom who owned the castle 3: she was a criminal 4: the kingdome is corrupt and she was unjustly improsoned All four of these means our sentient witch hat will eventually come into conflict with kingdom authorities if they spot her.
In all likelihood, anyone with even half a brain would realize that something wasn't quite right. "She" likely wouldn't remember anything the previous owner of her body had known, done, or said. It would be like total amnesia. Mind reading magic (if it exists) would probably come up blank/void because the "girl" is effectively brain-dead. Behavior probably wouldn't be particularly natural.
In RPGs, "dungeon" tends to refer to areas where monsters are, not necessarily literal dungeons. Hence the name of the most popular RPG being "Dungeons and Dragons". It's also important to note that castles in fantasy worlds are often overrun by evil or monsters, or even built by factions that are unaligned with a government, or kingdom and that adventurers delve into to defeat said evil and gain riches, so even with a literal dungeon, the girl could be an adventurer or a prisoner of an evil group. It's important to understand that real world assumptions may not hold true in fantasy settings.

Outside of that, dungeon being used to refer to areas where monsters live are usually actual monster-infested dungeons. Other areas would be called as what they are I.E. forests, mountains, deserts. All of which could be monster infested. As such a castle dungeon refers to, well, the dungeon of a castle. Which can still be, of course, monster infested. And even if that were true, she would be an enemy of the kingdom that owns the castle, in this case, the "kingdom" of monsters, or if there is one present, the demon lord, since that is who monsters generally fall under.
@@kyomeimagikill7016 If the castle doesn't belong to the kingdom, and the original person was in the dungeon belonging to the kingdom, then the kingdom may not have any conflict with her. Castles can be in possession of anyone who can control them. A bandit gang, a wizard, a group of monsters, a dragon. None of which necessarily will have a "Kingdom". She could have been imprisoned in the dungeon, or simply living (and stop living) there.

Thanks for you, I made one of my favorites oc: Stark Is a sentient hat too, but if he is not controling anyone, he cant move by himself and acts like a normal hat (like he can fly away in the wind and that kind of stuff) but when someone puts him in his head, he automatically controls that person and he can't be taken away for the person, the only 2 ways he can be removed from the head of a person is if he removes himself or if the body dies He can't talk normally, he needs a body For being able to talk and in general he doesn't know much, but when he controls someone, he learns everything that that person knows, he doesn't get his memories, Just his knowledge (if he controls a chef, he learns how to cook what the chef knew, but he doesn't know if the chef has a family or who does he love) He doesn't need to eat, drink, sleep or anything of that kind of stuff, thats why The first people he controlled died within days, with the time he learned how to take care of the body (after killing like 4 people lol) Now he's controling a wizard cat which I LOVE how I did the design, it's Just so beautiful

Bruh, you just created my old OC when I was a kid.
The only things missing are that the girl is alive and is in a symbiotic relationship with the hat alongside that the girl wears a cape that is an extension of the hat.
And from the cape comes out two huge demonic arms that the hat can summon and beat the villains up while the girl cast magic.
Yeah I was a big fan of parasyte when I was a kid.
The idea of a friendship that was never meant to have been made but somehow came to fruition due to freak accident or horrific incident and both of them can relate and become closer to one and another was something I liked very much as a kid.
Would the hat try to find a way to reanimate the girl after learning so much about their past, that they feel genuinely connected, feeling like a brother/sister to the person they wear?

1: the girl was an indentured servant, to put it lightly
2: she was an enemy of the kingdom who owned the castle
3: she was a criminal
4: the kingdome is corrupt and she was unjustly improsoned
All four of these means our sentient witch hat will eventually come into conflict with kingdom authorities if they spot her.
And the hat would be confused on why they are trying to hunt her down
In all likelihood, anyone with even half a brain would realize that something wasn't quite right.
"She" likely wouldn't remember anything the previous owner of her body had known, done, or said. It would be like total amnesia.
Mind reading magic (if it exists) would probably come up blank/void because the "girl" is effectively brain-dead.
Behavior probably wouldn't be particularly natural.

Outside of that, dungeon being used to refer to areas where monsters live are usually actual monster-infested dungeons. Other areas would be called as what they are I.E. forests, mountains, deserts. All of which could be monster infested. As such a castle dungeon refers to, well, the dungeon of a castle. Which can still be, of course, monster infested.
And even if that were true, she would be an enemy of the kingdom that owns the castle, in this case, the "kingdom" of monsters, or if there is one present, the demon lord, since that is who monsters generally fall under.

Castles can be in possession of anyone who can control them. A bandit gang, a wizard, a group of monsters, a dragon. None of which necessarily will have a "Kingdom". She could have been imprisoned in the dungeon, or simply living (and stop living) there.

Is a sentient hat too, but if he is not controling anyone, he cant move by himself and acts like a normal hat (like he can fly away in the wind and that kind of stuff) but when someone puts him in his head, he automatically controls that person and he can't be taken away for the person, the only 2 ways he can be removed from the head of a person is if he removes himself or if the body dies
He can't talk normally, he needs a body For being able to talk and in general he doesn't know much, but when he controls someone, he learns everything that that person knows, he doesn't get his memories, Just his knowledge (if he controls a chef, he learns how to cook what the chef knew, but he doesn't know if the chef has a family or who does he love)
He doesn't need to eat, drink, sleep or anything of that kind of stuff, thats why The first people he controlled died within days, with the time he learned how to take care of the body (after killing like 4 people lol)
Now he's controling a wizard cat which I LOVE how I did the design, it's Just so beautiful
