Love these types of videos. Bonnie and Clyde got what was coming to them, as they should. A lot of people suffered hard times back then, but few went on a murder and crime spree. I feel for their families. But, I also feel for the families of their victims.
I did enjoy your video. I recognized much of the scenery along the way. I have been to Gibsland, LA. for the Bonnie and Clyde Days Festival. It was very interesting. Bonnie and Clyde lived in a very difficult time in our history. That’s not to excuse them from the terrible deeds they were responsible for. Again I enjoyed your video very much.
Enjoyed your video very much. I doubt Bonnie & Clyde ever imagined that there legacy would live on for decade's and not just here but in countries around the world. The average person is forgotten in less than 10 to 20 years.
My 2013 atlas shows Gibsland north of highway 20. Trying to find out where the ambush site was. What road, direction of travel. Details you need to find the right spot when living so far away.
Mr. Largent you passed right by where I use to live, we lived just 2 blocks north of Hwy 80 in Bossier City, until 1982. Me and my family went to the state fair in Shreveport in the mid 70s and they had an attraction there that had Bonnie and Clyde’s car it was riddled with bullet holes I was about 8-10 back then but I do remember that. Thanks for sharing this video brought back many memories I’m now 60
Thank you so very much for this wonderful video . I lived in Texas back in the early 80s and I lived in Hughes Springs there and when to Longview at times I remember Hwy 80 i Traveled it i have a son Eustace Texas so thank for sharing this video 😊👏
Great video.I have been fascinated with Bonnie since a girl.So sad.Their story is a love story one filled with adventure and tragedy. What an era they lived in. I am sure they rejoined after death.
I enjoy the ride . I love The Video . Bonnie's mother did not like Claude Barrow , He was trash , Bonnie , was not buried next to Barrow . Bonnie's saw to that .😊💰💰
always know louisiana by the tall skinny cypress trees. these trees sway like dancers during hurricanes which makes them excellent wood for building houses because of their wind resistance.
Only movie me and my uncle Harold Allen ever went to see was Bonnie and Clyde he knew all about them and wanted to see the movie he seen their car after it was shot up I enjoyed your video thanks
Jolly good video and perspective Bart. They may have been murderous but a lot of folks Loved them and cheered them on. May they R.I.P. and so shall the victim's of there murder and robbery spree.
I never gave it any thought on how Bonnie and Clyde got back to Dallas. I've been to the death site and recently saw the death car in Nevada. Thanks it was very interesting.
You know in todays world they would probably just be considered two kids that were really mistreated and victims of circumstance, and those officers would all be treated as the murdering thugs. My how times have changed 🤷🏻♂️
@@idessaoutlaw you know I used to work with a guy that was married to Bonnie’s niece or some relation. He said her family never would admit she (Bonnie) was wrong. In their eyes it was all Clyde, he did all the killing, all the stealing and Bonnie wouldn’t never have been like she was if it wasn’t for Clyde which may be true in a sense but she was with him willingly so guilt by association 🤷🏻♂️
Bonnie & Clyde were made by poor times, I bought a 3X3 curve sign that’s been shot up with 3 weapons, has the old yellow paint like rubber with the Curve on it from the late 20s to early 30s, Clyde used these as target practice, also was the same thickness as there Ford was, good way to see what would go though there car if shot from different distance, This came from Oklahoma MO. Border area. The curve sign Clyde has his arm in that they shot look like the same weapon , blown off paint shape around BULLITT, Like to have it Verified to be sure, Ether way it’s the oldest sign I’ve ever seen
That was not their last ride. Clyde’s last ride was from the funeral parlor, or church, to the the graveyard. Bonnie’s was from one graveyard to another.
It's a sad criminal saga with questions unanswered. What really happened at Grapevine? Why were Floyd Hamilton and Billie Jean, Bonnie's sister, arrested for what happened there? Prior big shootouts included three men with two women. Just Clyde, just Bonnie at the ambush; there were no extra guys. He died as he once killed, law officers using a high-powered arsenal. But then, there's Bonnie. She could have been a good witness. She was capable of shedding light on what really happened at Grapevine, for sure. Hamer said she screamed like a panther at the ambush. Could her life have been spared? Her mother's heartache was immense. Possibly she rode to the ambush sight a couple of days later with the thought, "was it really necessary to kill her, too?" There's a report written by a worker at the funeral parlor in Dallas online -- can be found by searching Bonnie Parker: buried in a blue negligee. Interesting read that shows Emma Parker's torment. Anyway, thankyou Mr. Largent. That last ride was quite interesting. Appreciate it, sir.
Yes I agree with your comment. You’ll be interested in my next video being released next Saturday. I talk about many of the questions you stated. Thank you for watching
i own and drive an 18 wheeler and many many years ago i was in a casino in Nevada back when oz a young man and they had the bullet riddled death car in the casino on display that was probably 35 years ago back when i 1st started driving - They said there were replicas but that particular one was the real McCoy
The most powerful American love story of all history. Their souls melted together by the flame in their heart. No one could tear them apart. They rode together side by side from the day they met till the day they died. That's the love story of Bonnie and Clyde.
Whatever - she never even divorced her first husband - She was notorious for sleeping around and Clyde didn't seem to mind - You people take historical situations and twist them into something it isn't -
Bart, I got to thinking about the mileage on that car. Clyde must have put close to 7K miles on that car ,before the ambush. He must have been driving close to 200 miles a day. That's a lot of miles considering the roads weren't paved everywhere, like today and no Expressways.
Even though Bonnie and Clyde were breaking laws left and right. They had killed people robbed banks stole cars stole guns many other crimes we probably don't even know. You have to feel sorry for their families. To lose their children in such a way. It is sad. We all kind of like Bonnie and Clyde.

Highway or road number or maybe a road name. I know the parish it was in but more details would be nice
The ambush site is about 7 miles south of Gibsland. Gibsland is south of Interstate 20. The ambush site is on Hwy 154.
@ Thank You Very Much.

That Ambush wouldn't fly today with this WOKE movement, that has afflicted our country. They'd probably get a suspended sentence and probation.
They were just murdering thugs..

They were ambushed and law enforcement was praised. If that were to happen today law enforcement would be sued and possible prison time.
Yes you are right. In the 1930s, things were very much different. Thank you for watching
I wonder if the highways had painted lines on them yet ?
I believe many portions of Highway 80 back then did not have any markings. Perhaps only through the small towns. Thank you for watching

Why would their bodies be loaded into an ambulance at the funeral parlor?
They loaded their bodies into ambulances in Arcadia for transport back to Dallas. Thank you for watching
I agree that the Barrow gang got their just due.
Best not to remember how they died but how they lived.
Thank you for rhis fantastic "trip"! You said Bonnie's mother was buried next to Bonnie. Is her father there too?
He is buried in Oklahoma. I think he died when she was very young, maybe 4 years old. Thank you for watching
One thing about cemetery people are just dying to get in them 😂

As the old saying goes, "if you want to dance you will have to pay the fiddler," so they danced and then they paid the fiddler.
My opinion of these cops that ambushed Bonnie and Clyde were cowards and took that cheap shot like cowards do.

Actually that's when law enforcement murdered Bonnie and Clyde
Most of their life was wrong. They didn't kill for the fun of it...they killed only in self defense. So wrong...
But they didn’t steal and rob in self defense.
