Funny thing, the Hulk big fig not fitting would be accurate. In Avengers 1, we can see that the tallest characters have only a little bit of clearance above their heads, and then in Avengers 2 Hulk has to crouch very significantly to fit in the quinjet, and in Thor Ragnarock (I probably misspelled that) Hulk breaks the quinjet just by walking in it upright.
The only complaint I have with this set is that you can't switch between avengers and shield. They didn't include the extra pieces to switch models. So you need to either destroy your stickers by removing them and never switch them back. Or just never switch them. Having the option was good, but the execution wasn't. They should have done what they did with the 2018 X wing. The included the extra stickers and pieces so that you can switch between red 3 and red 5.
The cockpit is really amazing looking. Very glad LEGO gave two sticker sheets. They should be doing that for expensive sets anyways in case stickers fail. I like the idea of a stand. The set is okay prices, sure $90 be better but $100 isn't horrible. I feel like there should be one more figure, but LEGO stopped doing bigfigs recently. Overall looks really good, besides the wheel holes. Looks fun to play with and makes a nice display piece. Thanks for review.
I have mixed feelings. It looks great from afar, but up close it reminds me more of a MOC where the builder didn't have the necessary pieces and didn't want to make another Bricklink order or had to make the deadline. I think the 6869 Quinjet was more charming even though it was less refined.
I think the minifig selection is based on the "bring the hammer down" scene. Hawkeye was mind controlled at this point and Banner was still Banner. That being said, a full team would make sense for the Avengers livery...
I feel like some 1x4x2(?) panels would help fill in the wheel holes… I’m glad the set can be appreciated for more than just the figures, unlike most superhero sets recently. Thanks for the review, Jang!
honestly I would prefer to exclude the stand and replace it with either more figures or a side build for an enemy, like loki's chariot. I think that most people have the parts and capability to build a simple stand, and if they don't, it's still perfectly displayable just sitting on the ground.
As a die hard Agents of Shield fan, the Shield stickers just made this that much more tempting. If I get it I'm definitely making custom Quake and Coulson minifigs to go with it.
This set depicts the scene in the first Avengers when Cap, Widow, Iron Man and (later) Thor go to Stuttgart Germany to apprehend Loki. The Hulk and Hawkeye were not involved in that.
Great review! I am very excited to pick this one up. So glad they made such an iconic set that is not hundreds of dollars. Would love to see more of this!
18:00 That's why you are my favorite LEGO channel on RUclips. Your opinions are so sane and realistic which is too much to ask from most youtubers today apparently. Recently I got into a discusision with some minfig investors who are actually mad at LEGO for putting "rare" star wars figures in foil packs because it "devalues their investment". Because how dare LEGO sell a desired product in a consumer-friendly package, huh?! *THOSE PLASTIC FIGURES COST ABOUT 4-5 BUCKS TO MASS PRODUCE* - they don't have any real monetary value beyond that except their assumed one on bricklink. The set costs USD 100 because there are a lot of pieces in it as well as number of figures, not because any single figure was intended by LEGO to be sold on the after-market for crazy prices. Keep doing what you do jang, you deserve every bit of respect your viewers have for you.
While i don't have it myself, from what I see i quite like the interior. Besides the difficult access and the holes, even if it's not very detailed i really like the amount of space
Unlike most people I'm not really bothered by the minifigs on this set but would love to turn that into a proper Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. lego set. With those printed arms from Black Widow and a few other parts it should be possible to at least made a Daisy minifig, I already have a Coulson I made years ago and of course it would need a Melinda May. Also past quinjets have had the nose being adjustable, this one seems to be fixed, which is a shame.
I really love this set, the one thing it’s missing to me is an Avengers Hawkeye, I can understand the lack of a Hulk big fig but I think Hawkeye woulda made the figure selection from a 9/10 to a 10/10
This set is a love letter to the Avengers brand. It's a remake that does the characters justice in minifigure form, too. My only real complaint is that we should've gotten Hulk and Hawkeye with this set.
Not a bad build for $100. As he stated, the gaps along the side of the fuselage are problematic but other than that, the set has nice detail and an overall streamlined design. The mini figures were cool, as well. Definitely should’ve included Hawkeye and Hulk but I’m sure Lego wants to keep the hardcore mini figure collectors on their toes. Once you’ve done a few UCS builds, anything smaller is more of an appetizer.
People aren’t understanding why they went with this minifig selection. It’s supposed to recreate the scene where Loki is being transported back to the helicarrier after being captured. The exact characters that were present in that scene are here in minifig form.
Double sticker sheet reminds of back in like 2006 when Lego City Police had black Police and green Polizei stickers you could choose between, which was later removed from the rerelease of those police sets a few years later and the markings replaced with blue Police stickers
18:50 I feel that it's better for separate sets to intertwine and compliment each other rather than try and include everything in every set. Sure it doesn't have the entire avengers team or the Hulk. That's what collecting is all about! Like the old space sets(blacktron) where the moduals could clip off and clip into each other. Maybe this quinjet could have been designed to fit a small car in the hold like to represent the Agents of shield red car from the TV show.
It looks like a really good set but could definitely use some polishing with some color fixes and improvements on the interior. I usually don’t mind the use of other colors for builds, but once they start to bleed through on a collector level “gray” set, it really needs to be on point.
Great review, after seeing it I'm definitely going to get this for my MCU mad son as a little extra for his birthday, he's got the Benatar & it's one of his favorite sets so I know he's going to love this.
I think what is missing from the minifig situation is that the included figs were the ones present in the quintet scene in avengers 1. Where Thor first appears in the film after Loki is captured and iron man cap and Thor briefly fight. Banner is not there and Hawkeye was brainwashed.
Really loving the heavy industrial vibes this thing has. Big and steel colored, caution stickers and rivets, the fuse boxes on the wings. Feels like it’s been a while since we’ve had a good, substantial marvel set like this.
The inside seating could have been done way better. Could have put them as jump seats against the walls to have a 4 stud wide floor, and then put a 2x2 round piece with a hologram in the center of the space to actually be somewhat accurate.
In all fairness regarding the figs it's the scene where Cap and Stark first meet Thor after they capture Loki. That's why they are the only characters in it. I've noticed with a lot of sets they only have certain figs because they're a set modeled to a specific scene.
I'm not crazy of how the did the wings in terms of the fans. I like that you can make an Avengers and a SHIELD version but then it should have two SHIELD minifigs.
one thing is for sure. People who have been building up their avengers army/ collections will be very happy with this set as it's the correct type of Quinjet. I mean I am a DC fan and I still want this set (though when my mind thinks about buying two of this when compared to buying 6 more of the new 501st battlepack, you know who wins =P) But yeah, the top part is nicely done, but the holes on the sides are a massive flaw in the build =( Maybe LEGO could have figured a way to just fold the landing gear up under the wings, than into the quinjet itself Also it's a shame they didn't include leg printing for black widow
I had too stop the video and went out to buy this set I came back and started building just open bag #1 and pulled out the cap min figure I got say caps head is improved from his pass min figures .. but I personally prefer the older mask over the Steve roger head
I'd still like to get my hands on this, i feel in love with the quinjet after seeing it for the first time. It's like the ultimate combo of a fighter jet and dropship.
I don't mind the lack of minifigures. This makes me think about the part in the Avengers 1 movie where Iron man and Thor meet for the first time, and fight over Loki. In that case, it has all the minifigure it needs. Unless I'm remembering wrong, and Hawkeye was flying the jet with Black Widow, I haven't seen the first Avengers in a hot sec.
Ooooh man, i’m absolutely loving that new Loki, while i’m not fond of the single hole soft cloth, (it tends not to stay all the way or mostly flush with the figure, and pops up around the shoulders) I am a huge fan of the soft cloth itself in general cause i tend to store all my figures in a box and don’t have to worry about an awful crease…. Though i am still conditioned to dealing with all the capes as if they are the old harder “cloth” 😭
I get them not doing Hulk for big fig reasons but there’s no good reason they couldn’t include Hawkeye. Maybe that many figures couldn’t fit in the ship at once? But even them have iron man and Thor flying outside.
I'm torn on the landing gear. Retractable landing gear is a feature I know I always feel is sorely lacking in airplane-esc sets like these, and I love that it's actually included here. But it definitely does not look great, it's making a big trade-off there. I think it's worth it but, it of course, should always strive for it to be better.
So much respect for your opinion on the minifigs. Great review. Cant stand the marvel films but ill get this lego as i lovea jet and it seems like it has great moc potential
I agree that a big fig hulk would have been too much, but definitely should have had Hawkeye. It’s been ages since we’ve had one, and don’t think we’ve ever had an accurate one
Looks great from the outside. If only there was some more play value with the internals, even just Black Widow's bike or something, it would be a must buy.
This wasn't on my radar really, but this may have changed my mind. Not going to rush out for it day 1 or anything, but it'll be on my 'good deal' watch list for sure :)
Are the blue plates in the wing at the tilt spot and the black part under the cockpit on the sides, easily replaceable parts? I would probably fill the holes for the landing gear. Leave the landing gear off unless I was using it. Just pull it off at the hinge.
Skyranger... as much as I'm not an Avengers fan, I am suddenly feeling like It'd be fun to mod into a Skyranger from X-Com.... hmmmh, 100$ is a good push towards picking up that Blacktron Cruiser gift w purchase...
I wish the nose was tilted down, and that the canopies were transparent black rather than the blue colour. The blue is accurate to the Avengers branding, but it's annoying that there's no way to swap the branding out entirely
They could have put maybe a dozen more pieces in it, 50 maybe, and created hinged panels to cover those holes in the side and fix up other little details here and there. Otherwise - I think they have done an amazing job here - the way the entire front of it is built seems totally ingenious to me!
They really could have relocated the weapons rack though, maybe to a removable rack in front of the seats, so there could be better access at the rear. Just my thoughts.
I recently bought this and i agree it should have come with hawkeye and hulk/banner and i think it should have had swap out pieces for the shield and avengers logos
I came out of my Lego Dark age in 2019ish when I got a Quinn Jet. I impulse bought it, because it just looked really cool. A lego fighter jet! It also doesn't hurt that Black Widow is my favorite Marvel character. So this set certainly calls to me. And I love the review videos. 100 bucks is pretty steep, but I'll probably cave just because it's the Quin Jet. I spent probably 10-15,000 dollars between 2020 and 2022 on Lego, and I'm at the point now where I just don't have the space, and I'm seriously winding down my hobby. So a very short lived Golden Age. I'll probably start selling off some of my least favorite sets and keeping the more iconic ones. I'm glad to have rediscovered Lego in my life. I'm sad for all it's cost me, LOL. But at least you get some return on it at the end. There was a time where I would have impulse bought this set not even thinking abotu it. But ugh, where the heck am I gonna put it? That's what always gets me ;)
I have wanted this set since I saw the Avengers back in 2015. However 2023 seems like it's going to be a full years worth of sets I've wanted since I first experienced a film/game, so it's going to have to wait.
I really dislike you have to decide on which sticker set to use before starting the build and then if you wanna switch either remove the stickers or buy the parts necessary to switch to the other sticker set. They could‘ve added the parts and kept the price at 100 bucks
my only major issue with the iron man fig is just that it is the wrong armour for this point in the first avengers movie, he should have a triangular chest repulsor not a circular one. in canon he was using the mk6 which is the one with the triangular repulsor (the one used in the final battle of Iron Man 2), he has a circular one on the mk7 that he uses in the final battle of the movie.
thought this was a bit too boxy but I’m liking your review. Maybe if it sits on the ground it would be a nice companion to the Benetar. Would be nice to have had a similar rotating stand to display it at different angles (too flat and bland with the default stand)
This is what the justifier should have been.
This set is almost perfect imo. The main thing holding it back for me is the lack of banner and hawkeye

The main problem with this model is the cockpit isn’t tilted down like it is in the movies.
This set paired with Lola from a few years ago would make for a pretty good Agents of Shield display
I have mixed feelings. It looks great from afar, but up close it reminds me more of a MOC where the builder didn't have the necessary pieces and didn't want to make another Bricklink order or had to make the deadline. I think the 6869 Quinjet was more charming even though it was less refined.

So many reviews in such a short space of time. The Jang train is in full speed.
A couple of modifications to swap the repulsor engines to mechanical fans and this is spot-on.
Lack of hulk doesn’t bug me as much as the lack of Hawkeye
That face printing for Cap looks a lot like Buzz Lightyear…huh that’s weird 😉
I feel like some 1x4x2(?) panels would help fill in the wheel holes… I’m glad the set can be appreciated for more than just the figures, unlike most superhero sets recently. Thanks for the review, Jang!
What I liked with the first QJ set is that the cockpit was angled.
honestly I would prefer to exclude the stand and replace it with either more figures or a side build for an enemy, like loki's chariot. I think that most people have the parts and capability to build a simple stand, and if they don't, it's still perfectly displayable just sitting on the ground.

I think the selection of Minifigures is 100% appropriate. It’s re-creating that specific moment from first avengers movie.
Beautiful set
While i don't have it myself, from what I see i quite like the interior. Besides the difficult access and the holes, even if it's not very detailed i really like the amount of space
Hey Jang I bought this today in Tesco for £54 (UK) I haven't built it yet going to be building it later 😅.
wow very amazing vids jang i love the content
a few parts added would add greatly to this, re-work the interior and landing gear and some other fixes, would go a long way
Unlike most people I'm not really bothered by the minifigs on this set but would love to turn that into a proper Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. lego set. Mine is currently "out for delivery" baby! 😄
Great review, after seeing it I'm definitely going to get this for my MCU mad son as a little extra for his birthday, he's got the Benatar & it's one of his favorite sets so I know he's going to love this.
Lego should have given us addition pieces to have both sticker sheets used. They could have also reused the Cap face print and given him some hair.
I think what is missing from the minifig situation is that the included figs were the ones present in the quintet scene in avengers 1. Where Thor first appears in the film after Loki is captured and iron man cap and Thor briefly fight. Banner is not there and Hawkeye was brainwashed.

love the Destiny sweater you're rocking!

Thanks for the review!
Honest and helpful as always 🙏
This looks so much better on the ground. The stand not having any angle makes it look very static.
Very solid for the price, great job from lego
It will be interesting to see if anyone mods this to have fold down bench seating like in the USAF Boeing C-17 and landing gear bay covers.
I like it! I’m so glad to get a new Loki figure, I nearly got an old set. Plus I like the Quinjet! Not getting sets just for figs!
In all fairness regarding the figs it's the scene where Cap and Stark first meet Thor after they capture Loki. That's why they are the only characters in it. I've noticed with a lot of sets they only have certain figs because they're a set modeled to a specific scene.
My birthday is coming up, so fingers crossed I get this. It’s and amazing model
Love it, if it gets discounted 80$ il buy it :)

I’m impressed by this set, however, the 2012 Quinjet set still holds a special place in my heart
I don't mind the lack of minifigures. This makes me think about the part in the Avengers 1 movie where Iron man and Thor meet for the first time, and fight over Loki. Though i am still conditioned to dealing with all the capes as if they are the old harder “cloth” 😭
It's the perfect minifig selection if you consider it as a playset for the Loki encounter from the first Avengers movie.
This is going right beside the benetar
I get them not doing Hulk for big fig reasons but there’s no good reason they couldn’t include Hawkeye. Maybe that many figures couldn’t fit in the ship at once? But even them have iron man and Thor flying outside.

Awesome videos man :)
Looks great from the outside. If only there was some more play value with the internals, even just Black Widow's bike or something, it would be a must buy.
God do I just want another Milano done in the vein of this set and the previous Benatar
The box art makes it look really wide for some reason, after building it myself im glad to say it looks a lot better in person.
Its a good set for $100. I like the sheild stickers.
This wasn't on my radar really, but this may have changed my mind. Not going to rush out for it day 1 or anything, but it'll be on my 'good deal' watch list for sure :)
Wonder if you can copy the stand in white for razor crest and N1 starfighter, which I need to find a way to angle to fit in my Billy bookcase.
Some online shops in Europe the set is at 83 euros. Will grab a set tomorrow
There's a really good XCOM 2 Skyranger MOC out there but sadly it doesn't have instructions available
Honestly, modifying the interior and those rear landing gear is something modern look forward to. No Hawkeye was just an insult.
Now all i need is the Agents of Shield minifigures..
It looks very cool! I wish Lego would release more realistic commercial airliners though
Pretty good set tbh. Minifigs are a bit dull but. Price is respectable too
nice hoodie guardian
They really could have relocated the weapons rack though, maybe to a removable rack in front of the seats, so there could be better access at the rear. Just my thoughts.
Saw this and honestly, i am tempted for the decent build and that Loki.
I recently bought this and i agree it should have come with hawkeye and hulk/banner and i think it should have had swap out pieces for the shield and avengers logos
3:10 I’m pretty sure that in the film those were propellers.
Trying to decide if it'd be worth getting ahold of to tear the wings off and see if I can make it into some kind of Halo Pelican
That's what always gets me ;)
please lego bring out more transparent stickers for large areas with small details. You’ll never get the colour matching right
I have wanted this set since I saw the Avengers back in 2015. However 2023 seems like it's going to be a full years worth of sets I've wanted since I first experienced a film/game, so it's going to have to wait.
That set looks like a lot of fun. I'm curious, how did it compare to the previous one?
I really dislike you have to decide on which sticker set to use before starting the build and then if you wanna switch either remove the stickers or buy the parts necessary to switch to the other sticker set. They could‘ve added the parts and kept the price at 100 bucks
In the 2012 avengers quinjet it came with iron man mk7 thor loki and black widow so maybe they wanted to keep the nostalgia purpose
Your backdrop is incredible. Absolutely love all the mechs. May I ask what your favourite mecha anime is? Mine is Evangelion!
This is so similar to the Halo Pelican. I never really noticed that before
my only major issue with the iron man fig is just that it is the wrong armour for this point in the first avengers movie, he should have a triangular chest repulsor not a circular one.
in canon he was using the mk6 which is the one with the triangular repulsor (the one used in the final battle of Iron Man 2), he has a circular one on the mk7 that he uses in the final battle of the movie.
I couldn't see the whole title on my screen when I clicked on it, but I could guess it and I was right :D
Not biggest fun of Marvel Lego, but probably i will buy it
thought this was a bit too boxy but I’m liking your review. Maybe if it sits on the ground it would be a nice companion to the Benetar. Would be nice to have had a similar rotating stand to display it at different angles (too flat and bland with the default stand)
They should’ve included a Bruce Banner and a Hawkeye mini figures. But I like that Lego includes a stand with this set.
