Superstar is F*CKING out of this world and Caught Up is a ridiculous banger! That entire album is Top 5 Greatest R&B album of all time!
...and Caught Up is probably one of Usher's best vocally and creatively on that album for me and that entire album is fire.
I love how these guys made Ryan see that he REALLY is a big deal , even when he is just giving gems. Proof this show is very necessary !
I love hearing how albums come together. Great story 🔥
Usher really was killing in that caught up ....i have to always let it play all the way through
As a kid... when I saw this man sing Oh Happy Day in Sister Act II, I immediately tried to copy his performance. That was the first time I had real confidence in my singing ability.
Ryan Toby is The LeGend 🎼🔥💪🏾👑💪🏾🔥🎼💯💯💯
The energy and vibe between these 3 great men was great I'm feeling the love in the room big ups to Ryan Toby 😅
"He wasn't feeling it..."
Fast forward the video got 41 million lmao
Usher sang tf outta Caught Up it's my favorite upbeat track on the album
This Pod Cast with Ryan Toby was EVERYTHING and I either smiled so big laughed during the entire show omg I love J. Valentine and Tank and I’m so elated my guy J. Valentine is out if retirement. The best thing that could have happen to RnB 💯💯💯💯💯💯that voice is out of this world and I said what I said!❤
Ryan could’ve cockily talked HIS SHIT for 20 years about those Usher records. BUT, humility and understanding his mission led the way. A true legend that has way more to do.
caught up is arguably the most unique record on the album! maybe do it to me.. they’re just very lefttttt records
This podcast always has me in stitches 😂 but I love the inspiring stories! 🔥🔥 “Heard ya stuff” 😂
Applause to all the song writers you all deserve your flowers. But Toby &Poo Bear that Superstar, to be a fly on the wall when y’all was making this hit, it just does something to you. It don’t matter how many years apart I play or hear that song it just do what it do. Talk about magical, talk about all in my feelings. This is R&B 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾thank you for the gift and for providing it to Usher. Now i need to know if you ever did the challenge yourself cause i know no one ain’t even come close! Periodt❤❤❤❤❤
This interview was IT. 💯👌🏾
When Confessions dropped, I was in High School. I knew out the gate that Caught Up was gona be a big record. But, when I played it for my friends (before the video dropped) everybody was like "Fam, this ain't it" ...
They was probably still high on "Yeah" 🤪
Can you guys please interview Otis williams from the temptations a true legend. Love the content
Why does he look like Shawn Stockman fron Boys 2 men. I wonder do people tell him that.
That’s crazy he doing like caught up. I remember when they did the BET one premiere for that music video. I remember watching the background scenes and all of that and watching the full video when it first premiered on BET.
This interview was 🔥
This has by far my favorite and the best interview you guys have done!!
Wonderful voice Ryan Toby
Good Advice
the tracks of Confessions are obviously fantastic. but when you go back and look at whole all helped to cultivate this classic, including the engineers....... nothing but legendary ppl.
I really enjoyed this podcast thanks guys
Glad you enjoyed it
I heard ya stuff man lol.... im using that lol
i know exactly where he talking bout in Philly. that apartment/loft building is nice af
One of my favorite interviews!
Amazing Topics
That was an amazing interview!
The random Diddy reference- now I’m googling Mark Pitts
He had to include ( like 5 times over) how "free said keys link up like we used to" and "let's just do like we used to do and hang out and chill and blah blah blah"
Lol bro was like "I'm not famous anymore so I gotta say what I can to still sound relevant. People still fuck with me!"
The comment abt Justin being King of Pop, they forget, when they get one of their own doing our thing, they make it seems like we never did it, like we were not the originators of the art that they are trying to steal, Justin, elvis, vanilla Ice, MMM, all the others to name, even with sports, that is why u should not worry about man giving u ur props and focus on God giving u his props
Just wondering if there's anything we can do to get Al B Sure on🙏🏾
See now I wanna hear Justin Timberlake do a cover to superstar lol
oh that would likely piss off a whole lot of ppl lol. and then set off a trend of ppl directly covering tracks of their peers. on second thought, this could be interesting. Have Usher return the favor and cover "until the end of time". stir some shit up why dontcha lol
In the wise words of Mannie Fresh I challenge you young people do eight sounds
