True. My dentist recommend me Vivera retainer because I had gag reflex while taking mold for normal retainer. But now i saw this huge scanner I felt worry 😨
@@fioch1372 there is zero gag refex problem with this device in fact the reason why they do this is so u dont have to gag on the mold they do with all that nasty stuff they put in your mouth this method takes less then 10 mins hell 5 at best .

😅 you and I both. I even think about quitting a couple of times. Guess what? I did two scans and none were good. I asked for help but everyone was too busy. I did what I could (I did horrible) and just sent it to the doctor. She was not in office that day. I wonder what they gonna tell me when it comes time to pull the scan or the lab asks to redo it. I’m so nervous and that’s why I’m hear to learn it.
Best songs ever when it stops scanning go back to the first molar of the arch you’re doing that usually brings it back to life.. & make sure you’re selecting the right procedure before scanning ( crown, implant & tooth number etc)
@@danid2530 yea im great at it now takes me about 5 minutes now.. A trick is to scan further from the teeth. you dont have to touch the teeth with the sensor
Helpful suggestions - How about making it wireless, less bulky(heavy), and modify the head tip (smaller). - That would be awesome.

0:51 咬合面掃到下前牙處，把口掃機身翹起來60度
1:04接著掃舌側。口掃機的機身要遠離嘴巴，要繞著牙弓擺尾一圈（口掃的機身像極了漂移過彎的車）
1:28 接著掃頰側，口掃頭要45度（一半掃到咬合面、一半掃到頰側）
1:38 所以實際上她buccal是從左側出發
1:48無法一次掃完頰側，所以差不多到中線就要換邊（注意她也換手了）
2:01 為了掃好proximal area, 頰側可以蹺蹺板motion, 舌側可以陀螺轉motion
2:42用左手撥開嘴唇，並扶著口掃頭
2:57 掃3到3的切端，注意她右手先掃，然後換左手，扶持手隨時在撥嘴唇
2:14取bite只要掃3～4顆牙，也要掃到牙齦，用板擦motion
it would help if the scanner wasn't so large. i've never been able to do this because of gag reflex.

It needs to be lighter and the scan head needs to be smaller. It's heavy and bulky- uncomfortable.

How is this properly disinfected and sanitized after each use if it doesn’t have disposable covering like other devices?
It does have a disposable covering. The tip that goes into patients mouth is detachable and disposed of.
Some dental offices sterilize their tip, have disposable tips or allow a patient to keep a previous tip they have used in their own personal file
