The Vatican Museums originated with the collection of Pope Julius II inside the Apostolic Palace Complex in the early 16th century and have been open to the public since the 18th century. This recommended route covers and the important works found in the prominent galleries such as the Pio Clementino Museum, the Candleabra Gallery, The Map & Tapestries Gallery, The Borgia Apartments & Rafael Rooms found in the Renaissance Wing with the Grand Finale in the Sistine Chapel.
After the Vatican Museum we will skip the security line and take the fast track into St Peter's Basilica.

how did it go?
My dream from childhood has always been to travel the world at the age of 25 due to a retina problem I lost most of my eye sight but still I wanna pursue my dreams
Watching these videos really motivates me to run after my dreams 🎭
I wanna be an inspiration for others through my channel 💙
We did The Tour Guy private tour including the Sistine Chapel and it was worth every penny, just an incredible tour.
Very Cool! When did you do that?
My sister and I did the Vatican tour with Dome climb and catacombs through the Tour Guy this past October. Was supposed to be a 5-hour tour. Our guide kept us for a full 6-hours, and made every minute worth it! She was incredible. Since we’ve been back, we’ve told everyone who asks about our trip how this and The Tour Guy tour of the Colosseum were the highlights. That anyone who goes needs to take the guided tours from them. We would have been in the various lines for hours longer, and wouldn’t have known what 98% of the things we were looking at even were! Thank you!
Wow thanks for joining us and saying all that. Glad it was amazing!
Awesome information! We loved having you at our b&b in Tuscany! So proud to be a part of this amazing tour group! Xo Podere Val D’Orcia

We can't wait to see you. Happy Travels!
I spent this New Years in Rome, 6 days of pure joy!
I was hoping to run into Angel, maybe some other time lol.
Skip the line is truly a game changer, my advice is always take that option in Rome.
Keep coming back to Rome and there is no doubt you will see him. In the meantime, you have his videos. We will make sure he sees this. Happy Travels!
@@TheTourGuyVids thank you so much, loving the content!
Skip the line is a must-do any of the major cities in Italy, to be fair. Saved almost 4 hours at Uffizi alone.
@@armedferret I wish more people understood that

Thanks so much. The answer to your question is here 2:47
Hey guys, we are planning to go for the Rome in a day tour with you during the 1st week of April, and is eagerly looking forward to it 😊, hope it becomes a memorable one for us🥰 we will just have only one day to spend in Rome, and hence Rome in a day tour would definitely be a saviour for us😊
That's great. We look forward to seeing you in Rome. Curious, why do you only have one day?
Once one buys his/her tickets online for the Vatican Museum in the Vatican site itself it's still necessary to stand in such long lines or those are for the ones waiting his/her turn to buy the tickets on the spot? 🤔
The answer to your question is in this video 1:51
How is that a mosaic? It looks like a painting
Hello mate.. me and my family are going to rome in 1-3 may.. do you still have the tour within st peter’s and vatican museum available for us? Thanks

The Holy Roman Catholic Church
Two sorts of travelers, those who stand in line and those who don't!
That's right. The cream always rises to the top!
This is the Sistine Chapel Ceiling. Pope Julius II asked Michelangelo to paint the Sistine Chapel in 1508 which the artist finished in 1512. Notice in the original Hebrew text of the Torah, the story of Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit, does not specify what kind of fruit. We read later on, that as soon they ate the fruit, they noticed were naked and covered themselves with fig leaves, the closest tree where they were standing. Wise Jewish exegetes of the Torah learned because of the facts presented in the story. Fig was the fruit that Adam and Eve ate in The Garden of Eden. Look like Michelangelo was well-advised not by a Catholic priest, but rather by someone else wiser who knew about the Garden of Eden story.
Why can't you take photographs or videos inside the Sistine chapel, even without a flash?
I don’t know but it’s been that way my whole adult life
Copyright law! You can't sell or publish pictures of the Sistine Chapel. The Vatican sold the rights in order to cover some of the costs of the restoration. Also because the Sistine Chapel was not completely restored; therefore it's best to be cautious even if you're not using a flash. Reverence, out or respect of the significance of the chapel; it's the Pope's private Chapel and it's where a new Pope is elected. The Sistine Chapel is not the only place of worship or museum that doesn't allow videos or pictures in certain areas. There are mosques, temples etc... that allow video or photos.
I did the tour without a tour guide. It's called planning
Well aren’t you the expert traveler!
For about $150 you can
For $150 you can what?
This is like the Catholic jerusalem... let’s hope the jewish people can build their temple and museums in jerusalem without being harrassed.
The best museum in Rome is MUSEO NAZIONALE ROMANO. It is a museum for intelligent people.
Ok. Maybe. Do you work for them or something?
No , i do not work for them! I love the culture!@@TheTourGuyVids
@@giulianoradice4715 nice 👍🏼
Palazzo Altemps is my secret place. I pop in whenever I’m around Piazza Navona. I featured it on our instagram but not here. Glad you love it too
