Dorothea looked around at the humble abode that she shared with her beautiful wife Edie. The first floor of the converted manor house was dominated by one single large room. It included a living area filled with chairs and countless children’s toys, a dining area with a giant table, and a large kitchen where they made dinner for the children every day. Adjacent to the large room was a bedroom and bathroom that she and Edie shared. It was not a large amount of personal space, especially compared to the luxurious suite they had once had in the palace in Enbarr, but it was the only space they had that was just theirs.
Edelgard and Dorothea are living out their retirement in an orphanage. Ferdinand and Hubert pay them a visit, and Edelgard confronts her insecurities and guilt about having left her post.
