Instead of buying that bit extender and ratchet for the multi tool, just buy the icon 1/4 driver and you can grind it down and get both pieces for $30 next time it's on sale. Not that hard to do.. anyone with a grinder or Dremel can do it. Plus the icon has the pivoting head

Red -- It would be great if you were to create a video on how to properly size a battery powered 'generator' for different uses. I've got no idea if a 2048Wh generator is sufficient or overkill for my needs. Nor do I know how to answer that question. I have to think many of your other viewers are in the same boat.

My local Rural King seems to be getting out of the Skil tool business everything they have Skil toolwise is deeply discounted both the 12v&20v lines they have a 20v drill and impact driver combo for $63 one battery comes with that combo the 5ah 20v batteries they have left are a little over $20

Costco Dewalt 8 gal stainless steel for $65 with a rebate in store, $80 online. Thats a buy it now price
The Diablo blades are already back to a higher price than the video showed. Also if anyone's looking at them, they are a split blade with the front half larger teeth fewer teeth per inch to work better on wood, while back half are tighter to work on metal. So if like me you're looking for wood only then buy a different blade.

I have that Hart blower and it BLOWS! It freaks out my dwarf goats so I use it to scare them when they try to get in our chicken food. Plus it moves material good for the price.

The Craftsman 153 piece tool set for $69.00 is a great price. I added 1 set to the cart. When I when to checkout I found that Ace wanted $48.00 for shipping. So I empty the cart. Shipping was the only method of purchasing the set. Pickup or delivery was not available.

I bought the Pittsburgh 3 Ton low profile floor jack at the Harbor Freight parking lot sale today. Hoping it has longevity and durability.

I have two Dewalt tools that have suddenly started smoking - a 90 degree drill and a hammer drill. Is there any maintenance I have neglected that is causing this?
Never seen any do it, and then this week, two.
Both are not in heavy rotation and have been sitting a while in dusty environments, but still.

Just an FYI people, the real difference between the Aluminum and Magnesium Skilsaws, besides just the weight difference will be their overall durability. If you drop your saws a ton, and would rather fix than replace the foot, get the Aluminum. The issue with the Magnesium is that it doesn't really bend, it chips or cracks. So if you drop it on the foot of the saw, it'll more likely chip or crack a corner off, than just bend it like the Aluminum. I'm not hating on the Magnesium version...that's the one I personally own, and I freakin love it. So don't get me wrong. I'm just noting the difference in how the materials tend to perform. It maybe less of an issue with the foot, but remember you could potentially drop it on the motor side...and if you crack the case, you're buying another saw. Again...not something I'm personally concerned about, and I'd rather take the weight savings of the Magnesium version, than worry about that. This is just extra info for you to consider. I'm also not climbing rafters and roofs all day long...where weight will be even more of an issue, rather than caring about the rare tool death drop.
Another thing you might consider is getting the Aluminum version, then replacing all the aluminum parts, besides the main body, with their Magnesium versions. It would shed some weight off the saw, but retain the aluminum motor housing. Or vice versa, if you drop it often on the foot, get the Magnesium saw, and replace the foot with the aluminum version. Just some optional food for thought.

Thanks for the weekly updates Jeff. I need to re-roof my shed this summer. Are there any good deals on value pro roofing nailers? I've got a 14 cfm 60 gallon compressor so I'm not worried about running out of air. I used to buy senco staplers, and Makita for a siding coil nailer, but I never got around to buying roofing tools. I tried a ridgid roofing nailer once and didn't care for all the plastic and the feel of the height gauge. Any advice would be appreciated. I'll likely save money and use asphalt shingles. Thanks!

The Skil table saw is a really nice saw--I own one--but the price is misleading because the saw is so loud, you'll also need to buy a good pair of hearing protectors!
