I posted a comment following the previous episode 5 about how my experience living in Jordan 25 years ago was beginning to link in with your talks. On one occasion my wife and I took a trip to St Katherine’s Greek monastery in Sinai where we saw a copy of Mohamed’s signature (the famous hand) on an edict that was framed and hung inside the cathedral. When we asked one of the monks what it was all about, he told us that Mohamed had visited the monastery on his flight from Palestine to Mecca. This tied in with the story I had heard whilst living in Jordan. I had been told by some Jordanian scholars that Mohamed was being trained as a Christian bishop in Palestine but had to flee to Arabia because he was part of a sect that had stopped believing in the Trinity and as a result the Byzantine authorities were stamping out heretics. I was informed that all this was recorded in a book written in Arabic which is not talked about by Arab Christians for fear of reprisals. Perhaps you are aware of this book? It was also pointed out to me that as a result of Mohamed’s training in the church, he made sure that the Quran included reference to the Virgin Mary and the virgin birth of Jesus along with clear instructions that any icons or mosaics depicting the Virgin Mary and Jesus should not be destroyed. I can't help but wonder why, if all of these accounts of Muhammad are later developments of various authors, why is so much of it filled with and excusing the 'prophet's' immoral behavior? Those details seem both oddly specific and incongruous with the image of a piety they're trying to project... Then again, their ideology was militant and expansionist, most converts did so at the point of a sword or under a shackle, and the majority of the population at the time would be too illiterate to study their scriptures enough to note the inconsistencies and sheer evil contained within.
I agree that Ignorance, illiteracy were predominant factors. Also the early conquests, holy wars. Even those period of turbulence, Islam continued to grow throughout the world, because like other religions it filled a need , gave people a community to belong to, with moral codes, submitting to one GOD , fasting, the cleansing of the body and the soul. Being kind and generous to your neighbor. All those things continue to the growth of Islam. All these religions whether Islam, Judaism or Christianity are man made, careful reading of their texts reveal that they are full of contradictions.

There does seem to be a parallelism from historians about comparing the prophet Muhammed and Sun Tzu. Both died long before their writings were released. The general belief about Sun Tzu is that several military experts worked together and compiled "Art of War" as a guide for strategies for future wars. The "book" was banned from the general public and classified material to keep the safe from enemies. Since most information about Muhammed and Sun Tzu were passed down orally, the writing took place years later, so their supporters claim. The non-believers of Judaism and Christianity needed a 3rd religion to rally around, so some claim that the oral histories ended and the writing began.

Muslims are complaining that a Jewish translation of the Qur'an did not have the name Muhammad in it. The answer is simple. The Jewish translators knew that Muhammad was not a proper name but a title meaning the blessed or praiseworthy one and translated it as such, instead of pretending that it was a personal name. It is only in the Qur'an 4 times even in the Arabic language. Any other occurrences, especially in translations, are corruption of the original text.

This is my opinion. The hadiths and sira were written for reasons such as 1) the inconsistencies of the Quran 2) the jiltedness of the Quran 3) the need for a narrative timeline not in the Quran 4) the need for a background and history for the "messenger" of the Quran to legitimize him 5) the need for a more humanly pictured prophet so people might be engaged. Then the team creating these stories are not necessarily very good people, so put in tales that aren't very good. Also others are resentful because they are being forced to, or are Persians resentful of their advanced culture being subsumed under the Arab regime. So you get some cleverly mocking the prophet, some slyly showing he's a false one. But also the coarseness of some is because the people writing these may not have high standards, and some of the Quranic material is of the world in it;s tone, and that has to be justified.

There are two different accounts in the bible! Logically, one is not true! 2. How was Jesus crucified? Definitely, not on a cross. The Jews never used to crucify people on a cross. It was not known to them then. Then, where did the cross come from? Or how many times was Jesus crucified? Read Deuteronomy 21:22-23. 3. How old was Jesus when he died? The bible is deliberately scanty on Jesus life and lifestyle while on earth. Despite having lived on earth for 33 years, he is being portrayed as having lived for 1 month. During the 33 years period, Jesus did everything any mortal did, including sleeping and waking up regularly, playing as a kid on a regular basis. And when he reached maturity, he was circumcised according to Jewish culture- and by a man! Early Christianity did not regard Jesus as God. It was in 400 AD when a Roman empiror (Constantine), who was not in the list of prophets/was not an appostle of God comanded that Jesus must be regarded as a God/Son of God. The Ebionites and nazarenes objected, but were killed in large numbers till the narative stuck. In fact, prior to that, trinity was not even known. 4. According to God's plan, He only intended to use Mary as the one who will bring Jesus on earth. Thereafter, Mary was to go on with her life. She was later married by Joseph and together they were blessed wiyh other children (daughters and sons). Now Mary was mother of Christ/God! Why are you embarrassed to say, "brothers and sisters of "God"? Why are you embarrassed to call Joseph, step father of "God"? You're even shy to recognize Jesus' dibblings in the bible. They too, played their part. 5. The bible portrayed Jesus kneeling down severally and praying to God! Which God was he worshipping? Was he worshipping himself? If he was worshipping himself, how comes at calvary he prayed till "his sweat turned to blood", and still he refused to honour his own prayer? Was her merely acting? I mean, he sent himself to come and die for humanity. Why was he praying asking "himself " to have "mercy on himself" and remove the cup? 6. If Jesus was God, how comes at calvary he asked Peter and another disciple (must be Andrew), to keep vigil as he prayed? You mean your God is not omnipresent? You have a lot to deal with! Stop misinterpreting the hadiths, and Quran to misinform "some muslims" and to exite fellow christians!

The complete Quran didn’t exist till about the time of Al Hajjaj. Further the legend of Muhammad probably didn’t exist till Ibn Ishaq. We only know about him from the writings of Ibn Hisham. Since ibn ishaq material was destroyed probably by the Abbasids.

Thank you once again brothers for such an in depth presentation of the truth about islam. I posted a comment following the previous episode 5 about how my experience living in Jordan 25 years ago was beginning to link in with your talks. On one occasion my wife and I took a trip to St Katherine’s Greek monastery in Sinai where we saw a copy of Mohamed’s signature (the famous hand) on an edict that was framed and hung inside the cathedral. When we asked one of the monks what it was all about, he told us that Mohamed had visited the monastery on his flight from Palestine to Mecca. This tied in with the story I had heard whilst living in Jordan. I had been told by some Jordanian scholars that Mohamed was being trained as a Christian bishop in Palestine but had to flee to Arabia because he was part of a sect that had stopped believing in the Trinity and as a result the Byzantine authorities were stamping out heretics. I was informed that all this was recorded in a book written in Arabic which is not talked about by Arab Christians for fear of reprisals. Perhaps you are aware of this book? It was also pointed out to me that as a result of Mohamed’s training in the church, he made sure that the Quran included reference to the Virgin Mary and the virgin birth of Jesus along with clear instructions that any icons or mosaics depicting the Virgin Mary and Jesus should not be destroyed. I can't help but wonder why, if all of these accounts of Muhammad are later developments of various authors, why is so much of it filled with and excusing the 'prophet's' immoral behavior? Those details seem both oddly specific and incongruous with the image of a piety they're trying to project...
Then again, their ideology was militant and expansionist, most converts did so at the point of a sword or under a shackle, and the majority of the population at the time would be too illiterate to study their scriptures enough to note the inconsistencies and sheer evil contained within.

As a Christian, I strive to show the utmost respect for my Muslim students, but watching this, I feel as if I am presenting a “story”, not the history. There does seem to be a parallelism from historians about comparing the prophet Muhammed and Sun Tzu. Both died long before their writings were released. The general belief about Sun Tzu is that several military experts worked together and compiled "Art of War" as a guide for strategies for future wars. The "book" was banned from the general public and classified material to keep the safe from enemies. Since most information about Muhammed and Sun Tzu were passed down orally, the writing took place years later, so their supporters claim. The non-believers of Judaism and Christianity needed a 3rd religion to rally around, so some claim that the oral histories ended and the writing began.

Muslims are complaining that a Jewish translation of the Qur'an did not have the name Muhammad in it. The answer is simple. The Jewish translators knew that Muhammad was not a proper name but a title meaning the blessed or praiseworthy one and translated it as such, instead of pretending that it was a personal name. This is my opinion. The hadiths and sira were written for reasons such as 1) the inconsistencies of the Quran 2) the jiltedness of the Quran 3) the need for a narrative timeline not in the Quran 4) the need for a background and history for the "messenger" of the Quran to legitimize him 5) the need for a more humanly pictured prophet so people might be engaged.
Then the team creating these stories are not necessarily very good people, so put in tales that aren't very good. Also others are resentful because they are being forced to, or are Persians resentful of their advanced culture being subsumed under the Arab regime. So you get some cleverly mocking the prophet, some slyly showing he's a false one. But also the coarseness of some is because the people writing these may not have high standards, and some of the Quranic material is of the world in it;s tone, and that has to be justified.

Read these verses, and decide for yourself which is "more" manmade!
The bible is replete with cases of killings, rape, mass murders, forced slavery - allegedly under the instructions of the "Jewish God". Read these verses: Numbers 31:7-18, Chronicles 21:14-15, Isaiah 13:16, Zachariah 14:2, Lamentations 5:11.
In the case of Numbers 31:7-18; How do you (as a man), tell that a 3 year or a 9 year old girl is a virgin? By sleeping with her, against her will - right? If this is not rape, what is it?
And the worst bit is, the instruction came from the "Hebrew God". The same God allegedly ordered them to kill infants as young as 1 month. Think about it! And this is how you portray God - as a vengeful, irrational, merciless, etc or the bible was intentionally manipulated to be used to commit genocide against other races!
In the bible, there are over 1,000 contradictions. Here are some of them:
1. What did Judas iscariot do with the money he was paid after betraying Jesus? There are two different accounts in the bible! Logically, one is not true!
2. How was Jesus crucified? Definitely, not on a cross. The Jews never used to crucify people on a cross. It was not known to them then. Then, where did the cross come from? Or how many times was Jesus crucified? Read Deuteronomy 21:22-23.
3. How old was Jesus when he died? The bible is deliberately scanty on Jesus life and lifestyle while on earth. Despite having lived on earth for 33 years, he is being portrayed as having lived for 1 month. During the 33 years period, Jesus did everything any mortal did, including sleeping and waking up regularly, playing as a kid on a regular basis. And when he reached maturity, he was circumcised according to Jewish culture- and by a man!
Early Christianity did not regard Jesus as God. It was in 400 AD when a Roman empiror (Constantine), who was not in the list of prophets/was not an appostle of God comanded that Jesus must be regarded as a God/Son of God. The Ebionites and nazarenes objected, but were killed in large numbers till the narative stuck. In fact, prior to that, trinity was not even known.
4. According to God's plan, He only intended to use Mary as the one who will bring Jesus on earth. Thereafter, Mary was to go on with her life. She was later married by Joseph and together they were blessed wiyh other children (daughters and sons). Now Mary was mother of Christ/God! Why are you embarrassed to say, "brothers and sisters of "God"? Why are you embarrassed to call Joseph, step father of "God"?
You're even shy to recognize Jesus' dibblings in the bible. They too, played their part.
5. The bible portrayed Jesus kneeling down severally and praying to God! Which God was he worshipping? Was he worshipping himself? If he was worshipping himself, how comes at calvary he prayed till "his sweat turned to blood", and still he refused to honour his own prayer? Was her merely acting? I mean, he sent himself to come and die for humanity. Why was he praying asking "himself " to have "mercy on himself" and remove the cup?
6. If Jesus was God, how comes at calvary he asked Peter and another disciple (must be Andrew), to keep vigil as he prayed? You mean your God is not omnipresent?
You have a lot to deal with! Stop misinterpreting the hadiths, and Quran to misinform "some muslims" and to exite fellow christians!
After listening to these two one begins to wonder why such a trader from the desert such as Muhammad has been elevated to become a prophet and who has created Islam and why so many 'fools' believe in the religion. The Arabs during the period of a millenium years before Muhammad were really backward and Arabia was a backwater of history and civilization. Few people could read/write and they had no proper writing tools. It was really awe-inspiring when either Muhammad or Islam came into the world scene and came into contact with the so-called civilized surrounding societies. Islam did not begin with the prophet Muhammad (may Allah be pleased with him) Islam was there from the Beginning of the first creation Adam (may Allah be pleased with him) , and Adam (may Allah be pleased with him) was a Muslim , n all the prophet after him were all MUSLIMS , even Moses (may Allah be pleased with him) , jesus (may Allah be pleased with him and with his mother), and prophet Muhammad(may Allah be pleased with him) is the last n final message of God .

The complete Quran didn’t exist till about the time of Al Hajjaj. Further the legend of Muhammad probably didn’t exist till Ibn Ishaq. We only know about him from the writings of Ibn Hisham. Since ibn ishaq material was destroyed probably by the Abbasids.
