I relate to what you said since I used to get offended in the past as people corrected me or laughed when I made mistakes in foreign languages. I then realised they mostly didn't mean to laugh in an offensive way, nor were they trying to make fun of me. Now I go along with it, in fact it's better to learn languages while laughing a bit, having fun and not taking ourselves too seriously. Studying foreign languages is the only thing I'm really passionate about and I noticed that once I called my language skills into question without therewith losing self-confidence and allowing myself to be wrong, I've been learning SO much more. People who laughed while watching this video smiled/laughed because of Esther's cuteness, and I'm glad she has this positive attitude learning English 😊😊 Vernon sure does help with that ;)

In my opinion she needs to be able to spell alphabet correctly and memorized those 26 alphabets right before getting this far since she's not familiar with the use of the alphabet itself, as korean hangul is very different to latin alphabet

As a college student who's taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English I can say vernon is doing a really great job (especially with his patience).

I used to think Koreans pretend not knowing english but I'm just shocked they really don't 🙃🙃But the fact is those English basics Vernon teached her in our country 7 years old kids learns on School 🙂🙂 our study system is so strict
I know is not that deep but when I was learning English it was really frustrating to have to do multiple times the same work because I was making mistakes, it made me feel seriously ashamed and my teacher was always telling me to watch my pronunciation and grammar, I just don't found funny the people who laugh at this girl for not knowing how to write certain things... like, it's seriously hard, even today (for me) is hard to know if what I'm writhing is good in terms of grammar and often get confused, I can't believe how tiring must be for her. The good thing is that her motivation is to learn with an idol, someone you admire.

well... when koreans use english words and when they spell it, they rely on the pronunciation. you could hear her saying “peo-ple” (poh-pul) because when written in korean 퍼플 it’s similar. it’s not that far off

Especially not in Asian languages, which is why a lot of non-english speaking Asian people pronounce it as an L sound. Even in Spanish the R sound it obvious, but different than it is in English.
