When will this happen? Because the current one really sucks. Also the icons look weird like old phone and my car is a 2021 so I know it's not my cars screen.
I hate the split screen too , kind of annoying, no way to turn off
Just updated my phone and got the split screen, it is fkn sheet... been searching over the net to disable it... it cuts off my maps... fml. Should be an option to disable it but so far no wins...
EDIT: To get rid of the other screens just click again on the maps icon. When you get a call it will split the screen again,
Spotify is still the default for me and splits screen during start up but it doesnt bother me because I know I can still go back to full screen now.

@@Nerojan Probably another case of marketing telling the developers what to do. I don't even like using one app while I'm driving, let alone three.
Just click on the map icon again and it should minimise the other screens.
When is this happening because summer is over and Android Auto still barely takes up half of my 11 inch screen? I bought my 2020 Subaru Legacy for the giant screen and it really sucks that the navigation map doesn't fill the entire screen. There's a whole lot of empty unused space. I don't really care about split screen. I just want the navigation to take up my whole screen like it does with Apple Car Play!
Check with your Subaru dealer. I believe they have an update for that.

Is anyone having trouble connecting with android 12? I bought a Samsung S 22 ultra and I get a blank screen. Does anyone know how to fix that issue?
I just got that phone today. And hooked it up to my car with no problem. Check your cable tho might just be the cable isn't for data transfer or old and you might need a new cable.
My 2020 honda pilot doesn't have the split screen at all

10 months later, i was able to see it on many vehicles... so far the older it was a 2018 Chevy Cruze (my 2016 Chevy Malibu didn't get the update)
When will youtube support Android auto officially ( while parking) . In news there is a notification that there is update which support video playback in Android auto soon

Okay, they figured out how to add music widgets and split screen features, but the only reason I use Google Maps is to see the map! The map still isn't any bigger than ever before...and it looks pretty pathetic on my 14.5" wide screen! Still not getting anywhere Google! I don't understand why it works perfectly on every phone, which is an ultrawide display when turned sideways, but it won't work on any infotainment screen!
