What I noticed most, and not only in this interview, is Michael Sheen's great storytelling ability. I always find myself captivated, no matter the topic
I knew Michael from The Good Fight, which apparently he's the devil in it; then I watched Good Omens, I'm like WOW what a lovely cute angel; now I'm halfway through Master of sex, I declare this man a chameleon, hands down. Damn how come I did not know him for all these years.
I knew Michael sheen from 2016 can't believe it took me 5 years to watch masters of sex i watched it last month it is one of my favourite series now and it just confirmed that i love Michael so much and he is the best and most handsome actor ever
I first watched Michael a long time ago, when he was in Frost/Nixon the movie. I've already forgotten the story, but I still remember his expression on the last scene. He didn't speak, but the look on his eyes tell the viewers that he felt guilt and was trying to hide it. I remember thinking, " Wow, this man is a great actor." Years later, I watched him as Lucian in 'Underworld: Rise of the Lycans' and had a massive crush on him. Lucian, his character on the movie, is a werewolf/lycan. But unlike the werewolves on The Twilight Saga who are basically sheep in wolves clothing, Lucian IS a proper werewolf, but with eyes of an angel. He is wild and dangerous, feral but sexy and attractive. You don't want to be near him, but you can't look away from him. The latest thing I saw him in is The Good Omens. And I'm right! He does have the eyes of an angel🥰
The Queen story is so interesting because he's had to do the exact same steps with Helen Mirren when he was playing Tony Blair. The entire scene is on RUclips.
I know everyone's been saying this, but I have to say it again: I am completely and utterly transfixed while listening to Michael Sheen tell his stories. He's almost magical, how he can weave reality to tell it so vividly that I could swear I was actually there when the Queen shoved him, or when he was dragged into the house so he could use the bathroom. The 18 minutes passed like nothing. Absolutely amazing, thank you for uploading this!!
Thank you SO MUCH for letting him spill more details about the Passion play. I've watched the Passion of Port Talbot documentary on YT and I've become absolutely fascinated by it. He gave Port Talbot no real warning about the play, just a flyer with his face on it stating something will happen on the beach at dawn a few days before Easter. The fact that Michael acted for 72 hours straight and he's 100% reliant on the kindness of the townspeople for food, drink and bathroom so that he can go on with his performance is just so thrilling. He said you could follow his Teacher character wherever he went, which meant he always had a flock of people with him. At 5:30am the first thing he did was the baptism scene which was emotionally draining as he cried and was freezing cold, I just felt so bad for him. Now to hear that when he slept on the mountain that night and didn't get much sleep due to the townsfolk talking which set him up as being tired for the next day, aww. By the time he was hung on the cross, I can only imagine how mentally and emotionally exhausted he was. Everyone should see the Passion documentary. The theme of it is celebrating the town history. Michael's journey as an actor and the townspeople who surrounded him were the most inspiring part of watching it. I'm not religious, and I was shook for days and now I want to see it again. Never have I seen an actor display so much dedication to his craft.
The gentleman has completely and utterly bewitched me. I'd never thought him much to look at, in the roles of his I'd seen (The Queen, Frost/Nixon, Good Omens), but since I've become aware of what he's like in real life...all I can say is, he is literally LIT. As in sort of INCANDESCENT from within. One of those extraordinary people Jack Kerouac was writing about, the fabulous yellow roman candles that burn, burn, burn...only Michael burns with goodness and authenticity and a total lack of ego. I'm not sure whether I'm infatuated with him or I just want to BE him and I'm pretty sure he has that effect on everyone, regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
I have to share this because last night I watched "Midnight in Paris" for the first time and I was quite happy to see Michael Sheen with a full beard and mustache. He looked so handsome! I couldn't stop looking at him at first. So very handsome.
Every time i think i'm done having a crush on Michael, I see one of his interviews and it's back in full force. He's just so damn adorable and delightful.
This interview actually gave me some well-constructed theatre advice, watching people talk about their passions really sparks inspiration in me. hits different
Am I wrong or delusional to regard Michael Sheen as a very sweet, gentle and polite talker of all? I think I have never watched someone talk so sweetly in an interview. He's a sight to behold. ❤
Many many years ago, my mum and nan worked at our state Govt House in the catering team. My grandmother as the senior waitress served the queen, my mum served the governor. My mother has always liked to recount her observations that the queen was as sharp as a tack, totally like my other grandmother. Mum was surprised that the Queen would reapply her lippy while seated at the table, rather than go to the bathroom. Mum noted that the Queen basically had a compact mirror, her lippy and a hanky in her purse.
+IWP23 I don't think I've seen an interview with Michael Sheen where his passion for Wales and storytelling doesn't shine through. A fantastic ambassador for our country. His biscuits on Celebrity Bake Off was proof this guy is the total package.
Has anyone else considered that his *naughty lemonade* comment can be a referral to Miles' Maitland line *naughty salt* in Bright Young Things? -Or am I completely insane...-
Do love Michael, fellow Welshman, so just want to say its "The Passion of Port Talbot", his home town is Port Talbot, if you listen he does pronounce the "T".
So i have never watched this series at all, I was just looking for Michael Sheen content to watch THE WHIPLASH I GOT WHEN I HEARD PAUL F THOMPKINS (i love Bojack Horseman)
I have a theory. Michael Sheen is not the "typical speakeasy" guest. No comedy background and no experience of watching/beeing fascinated by comedy performers. However, he is dating PFT:s former Mr.Show collegue Sarah Silverman. Could Made Man be using PFT:s contacts to try to get "high profile" guests to try and get Speakeasy on television somehow? Would LOVE it if that happened. That does it for this comment. Please join me next week when I'll be commenting, on a different video.
Paul F. Tompkins is such a great interviewer, he gives his guests enough time and space to just talk, and let their personality shine through. I really hope it turns into a show!!
I hope I'm not the only one who thinks his voice is absolutely magical and sexy as hell...
heaven sweet, heaven
he's got a boyish charm 🤗😊
As someone who has a dad with a very similar but deeper Welsh accent, I don't think I can comment on his voice 😂😂😬
No man I'm absolutely in love with him
That’s the Welsh for you
Welp, I’ve def got a crush on him after Good Omens
Yeah, me too...oops.
Same. This is becoming a problem, I'm binging on all his interviews 😶
Definitely (Tennant too)
Um same... It's getting a bit out of hand 😬
Never thought about Welsh accents before I saw his interviews but... here I am, melting at the sound
What I noticed most, and not only in this interview, is Michael Sheen's great storytelling ability. I always find myself captivated, no matter the topic
YES! This man amazing!
"I know it's over, love!" 😂😂😂
I love that part! 🤣🤣
I knew Michael from The Good Fight, which apparently he's the devil in it; then I watched Good Omens, I'm like WOW what a lovely cute angel; now I'm halfway through Master of sex, I declare this man a chameleon, hands down. Damn how come I did not know him for all these years.
this is so fucking true and im halfway through series 3 of masters, and honestly the fanbase is SO SMALL it makes me sad sometimes
I knew Michael sheen from 2016 can't believe it took me 5 years to watch masters of sex i watched it last month it is one of my favourite series now and it just confirmed that i love Michael so much and he is the best and most handsome actor ever

Watch Underworld
*casually adds him to my list of middle aged men I crush on*
Same here
sameee
No wonder Crowley is in love with him💘
He is just so charming.
Michael Sheen can chat with me any day! his stories are so descriptive *swoon*
In books when they say "his eyes twinkled" this is what they mean. EXCUSE ME SIR IM GONNA HAVE TO WRITE YOU UP FOR BEING TOO ADORABLE
“Like I know it’s over, love.” God bless Michael Sheen, what a treasure
You know it's gunna be a good episode when the guest looks into Paul's camera within the first 2 seconds...
The realization on Paul's face when he got shoved back with the hand shake is priceless. Hahaha
I've never seen Paul so captivated.
I think it's like 60% the guy's charm and 40% sheer cross-cultural novelty of hearing a funny story about the Queen of England.
Dan Brennan Agreed! He's also a great storyteller.
Paul f Tompkins is underrated
The Queen story is so interesting because he's had to do the exact same steps with Helen Mirren when he was playing Tony Blair. The entire scene is on RUclips.
the queen was a good movie he & Helen mitten did a good job.

He gets more interesting, smart and hard-working the more interview I watch about him.
Why is he so full of charms it hurts
I have to share this because last night I watched "Midnight in Paris" for the first time and I was quite happy to see Michael Sheen with a full beard and mustache. He looked so handsome! I couldn't stop looking at him at first. So very handsome.
I hated the characther but i loved him! He is so well spoken, delightful to listen. Love him!
"I *_know_* It's over, Love."
What a delightful man.
God I love Michael Sheen....His personality is the best!
Michael sheen is so awesome! And always love Paul's interviews. He needs his own talk show, he flows so well with guests.
Every time i think i'm done having a crush on Michael, I see one of his interviews and it's back in full force. He's just so damn adorable and delightful.
His eyes twinkle so much and together with this adorable smile I'm just a gone woman 😭😭😭
What a great interview. This guy is so wonderfully charming and eloquent. Tompkins is a great interviewer.
This interview actually gave me some well-constructed theatre advice, watching people talk about their passions really sparks inspiration in me. hits different
uh oh...massive crush on this man
Am I wrong or delusional to regard Michael Sheen as a very sweet, gentle and polite talker of all? I think I have never watched someone talk so sweetly in an interview. He's a sight to behold. ❤
The legend returned the OBE. What a bloke.
Michael to the Queen: "I know it's over, love"😂
I accidentally stumbled across this series and I have to say I am seriously digging it!!!
Fell in love with the guy way back when, when he played in Underworld. He only kept improving in all possible ways after that.
Such a beautiful voice...and smile 😍
Sheen is an awesome actor, I love this guy, masters of sex is unbelievable series
I love the amount of people thirsting after this man its incredible
he is so fucking charming, how can you not love this man
Michael Sheen is most talented and most delicious!
I love the way this is filmed with a slight drift to the camera. That makes it seem more 'real life'.
I would love to see Michael Sheen on drunk history telling the story
I love michael sheen so much!! Great actor!!
I love to see famous ppl interact with the Queen bc she behaves like my grandmother and she's such a badass and I love her
Many many years ago, my mum and nan worked at our state Govt House in the catering team. My grandmother as the senior waitress served the queen, my mum served the governor. I’ve seen him first in Frost/Nixon, then Tron, and became obsessed at Good Omens
He’s just such a great person all around, it’s truly incredible and endearing.
"When you're lying awake with a dismal headache...". Michael does G&S!
he's absolutely an acting chameleon, because I very rarely can tell his characters apart
If this is not a real bar, it certainly is a good replica set with the ambient lighting. Looks inviting. He is so funny. A great interview.
Absolutely adore Michael Sheen!! And Masters of Sex. Amazing show.
this is very niche, but I finally get where critical role's between the sheets got its look from
I had exactly the same thought! Like well $#!+ ... BtS isn't as original as I thought. The more you know...
Saaaame!!!! I was so surprised that its really the same format!
this man is an excellent interveiwer
I hope we get an interview with one of Tompkins co-stars on Bojack.
I’m all heart eyes through all this
Us welsh always have good stories haha
IWP23 That we do!
+IWP23 I don't think I've seen an interview with Michael Sheen where his passion for Wales and storytelling doesn't shine through. A fantastic ambassador for our country. His biscuits on Celebrity Bake Off was proof this guy is the total package.
I could listen to him speak for literally EVER. So hot.
God - I love this man. The consumate actor with a voice like melted chocolate.
A true National Treasure. 🇬🇧💕💗
The Welsh and Irish, great story tellers.
Has anyone else considered that his *naughty lemonade* comment can be a referral to Miles' Maitland line *naughty salt* in Bright Young Things? -Or am I completely insane...-
OMG HE'S ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE, AND PERFECT!

Yup....yup, this is a really great interview!
i know is over, love! hahaha
Sheen looks so much better without the fuzz on his face.
He is just a barrage of charm..... they both are
Wish I could come to Caerdydd to see Michael perform Nye Bevan.
i thought my obsession with michael sheen was gone; i was very very wrong
2:30 totally what my dad would have done. I wonder if enjoying bullshitting your kids (or young daughters) comes with parenthood.
Do love Michael, fellow Welshman, so just want to say its "The Passion of Port Talbot", his home town is Port Talbot, if you listen he does pronounce the "T".
I love listening to his talking
So i have never watched this series at all, I was just looking for Michael Sheen content to watch THE WHIPLASH I GOT WHEN I HEARD PAUL F THOMPKINS (i love Bojack Horseman)
Love that he threw shade at the "king"

Omg he's adorable...
This is a brilliant interview. Especially for the actors out there.
Sweet ineffable angel 💝😇
He's so cute! and he's such a good story teller
I want to read that story about the clock man under the palace

THATS WHERE I KNEW HIM FROM OH MY GOD THATS STRANGE!!! adding it to my wall graph thingy of connecting my interests
He's wondering to listen to. Great story teller and so handsome. ❤️
Me too .
It's "Port Talbot" not Albert
❤️Michael Sheen❤️

That phallic truncheon beating up the cucumber in the glass has gradually started to seem funny to me.
哇喔,这次访谈很有趣啊,尽管我是全程靠机翻来理解他们说了什么内容
Please interview Michael Richards
That was awesome.
Lucian!!!
