I'm not familiar with this game's soundtrack but your cover totally changed that for me! A lot of really cool textures in your song, it felt very 90s but brought into the 20's 👏 Great work zr0 ⭐
You did a great job giving this track a fresh coat of paint! Thank you for introducing me to this hidden gem in the SNES music library! Well done and good luck in the competition!
Thank you Note! I love discovering these hidden gems from games I didn't get to play growing up. There's a vast 'Ocean' of them out there 😂 Appreciate the listen!
Thanks Tera! Don't feel bad about not knowing 😂 While being critically panned, it also never got a US release! But the composer Dean Evans has some great work out there.
This is a really compelling groove, and I loved your instrument choices - those leads are so expressive and interesting! I also really appreciate the philosophy of what you're doing with these remakes - rendering them with modern synth sounds shows off the effectiveness of the original composition, and introduces these tracks to more people! Thanks for being part of this year's competition :)
Thanks Soundole! It makes me happy that you know what I'm going for with my tracks. I like the originals so much that I just think 'what other instruments would sound cool here'. I don't think I could do them justice if I rearranged the composition too much 😁 Really appreciate you bringing us all together each year to share our creations with each other!
This is awesome, at the beginning it almost makes me think of Stranger Things, but I think that's because it's got the sweet, sweet 80s vibes. When things kick off at 1m though, it's really cool! I love the lead at 2m too!
I don’t know this game or soundtrack but thank you sooo much for introducing it to me! This is absolutely wonderful! A lot of this feels like such a groove and honestly, listening to this inspires me so much!!! Wonderful work!! ❤
Thank you! That's definitely one of the great things about this community - being able to introduce each other to some of the great soundtracks they might not have known about. I've found a lot of gems just browsing through others' channels.
Some of the synthsounds and score reminds me of songs from Jochen Hippel aka Mad Max. More the general mood than specific patterns. Made me think of the Amberstar-Soundtrack: ruclips.net/video/hdaIrvvt2C8/видео.html but also parts of the Second Reality Demo. ruclips.net/video/ugPZnsRHUkc/видео.html Take that as compliment. ^^

Thank you so much! Agreed, the OST has very 90s tracker vibes to it and I'm perpetually stuck in the 90s myself 😂
Appreciate you checking it out!
Love this song so much, great work on this HD Version!
Thank you! Such a great OST, hoping to cover a few more tracks from it.
Brilliant song, brilliant rendition
I didn't even know that they made a Waterworld game lol. Great job!
You're not alone 😂
Thank you!

That’s a really nice groove, and dang it those arpeggios are catchy!
The drums and bass caught me really off guard (in a good way) - nice work!
Thanks Sean! And good luck in the contest, always great meeting with you all every year!
Damn, you did this banger too. This is like the only decent remix of this song on youtube somehow.
I've never heard of this game or song before, but your cover is super nice! Definitely got me grooving heh

Ocean game's soundtracks really need to be explored for all the awesome tracks. You did a fine job here and its sounding great.
I'm with you there! Ocean had some great OSTs. Jurassic Park is another great example. Thanks for listening!

Dang, great work with the melodic elements in here!
Thanks Ryu!
