@WitmerXL funny how after youve listened to metal for a certain period of time your views on music in general change, no? i was a metal head (still love it) for years, now im attending college to study performance in classical guitar. i love this stuff.
I noticed everyone is picking on the shredders, telling them to "slow down and feel what they're playing." Well, the shred is what sets jazz and hard rock apart. Let shredders be shredders, alot of the time they put alot of work into their technique, and those players do feel what they're playing. Need I remind all of you that this is a jazz video? There are greats like george benson that play crazy fast. Should we pick on them? No. Let jazz be jazz, let shred be shred. End of story.
Did you study Wes Montgomery? You have a similar style, and coming from me, that is a HIGH compliment, because not many out there can even come close! You are sounding good.
@Dictum1 Completely false. Playing slow =\= more emotions. Playing fast =\= emotionless. Lane, Holdsworth, Marshall, Duane, Benson can all shred and strike an emotion (pun intended) chord. I've seen fast nonsense and slow dreck. Its all about the feeling put behind the writing not the speed its played at.
Curse me and my stupid teenage mind buying a piece of crap metal guitar. I could of got so much more out of a decent jazz guitar, but spikes and horns and that pretentious punk saleswoman distracted me.
Beautiful playing , gorgeous sound.
the tone is gorgeous.
Speechless! Simply gorgeous playing!

@Vahnkilone You couldn't play jazz if your life depended on it. "Our roots". Yeah right, dinkus.

This is pretty basic jazz, I don't know why everyone raves about this guy, there are many jam guitarists better than this.
