    I keep it simple. I use wood chips from my trees and I use leaves I collected in the fall. It nourishes the plant and keeps the soil moist. If it looks yuck I’ll buy mulch. However, the goal is little to no exposed areas. I want trees, shrubs and ground covers. Oh… yes front of house is rock….. I hate rock.

      I’ve had the same in the past. Now I have rock, which I have mixed feelings about as well.
      In my new heads I have bagged mulch which has worked out OK so far. Thx for the comment. Coach.

    if you need mulch use a mulch calculator. measure your area and never buy to much. seen one guy buy a truck load with out measuring and he bought probably 10x what he actually needed. to get rid of mulch is pretty expensive even though they burn it.
