If the legislature passed a law that says ppl get attorney fees, but judges refuse for an arbitrary reason like "damages:fee is to little"... sounds like a new law needs to be passed to specify expected values for that ratio.
Hello I bought a use certificate car from dealer one month ago the first rain a water came into the car by sun light I’m bring to the dealer and they try charging me 5 thousands $ for repair . I just get car for a month and they said Chanel are clogged and they have to repair. Also I buy a 3 years or warranty and they said that no cover that
Lemon law is not defined by repair attempts only. If the defect was reported, it counts. Otherwise, they could simply refuse repairs without consequence.
Dealership rebuilt my automatic tranny twice and it kept the same problem...60,000 easy miles 3.8 liter Thunderbird...going downhill at 60-70mph, it would downshift....they said it couldn't be fixed...Ford dealership was in Person county NC.
I recently sold a vehicle on eBay as is and now the buyer is taking me to small claims court because he claims the body paint was not perfect and he had to repaint the entire vehicle. I thought my only obligation was the smog the vehicle before selling it in which I did.
It's obvious ppl expect a car to last a long time and a fix proposed by the dealer may not meet that expectation. Can ppl ask for the work to be warrantied, obviously you'd end up sueing over a short term fix that may get a few 1k miles... but leaves the buyer missing life of the car they otherwise would have.
I bought a lightly used 2021 toyota (25k miles) with a Toyota warranty, & after 3 months in the shop, it has been repaired. This type of transmission has a history of breaking down & I am not far from running past the warranty miles & if this happens again, I'd be stuck with a loan, an expensive repair or a useless car
Hi how about a used CPO 2018 F150 5.0 with oil consumption It’s currently back in the shop for engine number four and 1 attempt to fix one but it couldn’t be repaired. So it’s been sitting at the dealership for over two months and will probably sit for another 4 months. It’s still under fords warranty I’ve got all the paperwork and it’s a lot it’s at the dealership all the time. I’ve also got all the emails from ford reps that have been no help.
if it was a lemon then resold it should still be considered a lemon.. because the manufacturer resold it its still a lemon..? lemons should be destroyed instead of pawning them of on other suckers... so they won't lose as much ..
Hasn't been a warranty yet that covered the gonk-u-lator!

The car is already 2 week there and they just keep saying we check for advice.

What do you do when a dealership can't reproduce or diagnose a problem, therefore, negating the lemon law due to there were no attempts to repair?

Thanks for the response. I've talked to 3 lemon law attorneys who said they have to attempt to make repairs before they will sue.

very informative
The only other time that I've heard Gonkulator was Hogan's Heroes
Pretty sure that's the origin.
