We are growing faster than ever before! The Lake Charles area currently has the fastest growing Metropolitan Statistical Area in the nation....yes, I said, the nation! There are currently $117 BILLION dollars worth of investment projects under construction or close to begin construction! And yes, I said BILLION with a "B"😁 You really need to come back home and enjoy the economic boom!
The biggest mistake was moving here from Dallas-Ft. Worth thinking the small town life would be an adventure. Turns out, there’s no middle class folk to befriend or have a good drink with; if you’re a resident not born and raised here then you’re automatically an outsider- with that, don’t bother putting yourself out there to be friendly/neighborly because it makes everyone uncomfortable here; and, education and books are low-tier priorities (with the exception of anyone who’s a McNeese student). However, with a grain of salt, remember that this is simply my opinion and one-sided perspective that I’m ever oh-so aggressively shouting into the RUclips comments section void. Lastly, one pro about LC is the McNeese students. They are all awesome individuals filled with hope and social integrity.
Where in the hell did that blue water on the lake front come from? 😂 Unless you're a gambler, there is nothing to do here. Take I-10 west to Houston for real adventure.
There’s actually a ton of stuff to do here, parks, restaurants, stores, restaurants, sports, and... uh, pet stores? Yeah pet stores I guess. So do your research ok?
@@theheroofhyrule8300 I'm not saying it's a bad place to live, but there isn't much here, and what IS here are lesser versions of what's everywhere else.. lol
I was born and raised here and moved to north Houston 6 months after hurricane Laura. I realize now at 42 years old that i grew up in a complete shit hole town that only exist because of industrial plants and casinos. so glad to be gone ✌
I grew up in Lake Charles and when I was a kid in the 70’s and 80’s it was a lot better I lived in the good part of town on the south side but I left in 1991 and moved to Atlanta GA. I wouldn’t go back there things are getting worse with Hurricanes, Floods, Poverty and Crime.
This is where I grew up. Amazing how much it has changed.
