I think Perfect Day represents the RCL brand supremely 👌. I had such a good time when I was there this last April (late April/early May). Probably the thing I love most about the island is how free you are to explore everything without having to worry about going someplace you shouldn’t or being mugged, etc… I really enjoyed all the activities, as the island has been so well-programmed. They really thought of everything with this island! And lastly, the *food.* While it’s nothing spectacular, I thought the food they had on the island was super tasty. I did not leave Coco Cay hungry.

Best tour of the island I've seen. Makes the Beach Club very tempting. We're sailing to CocoCay and Labadee in June 2024 and are currently the only ship on the day we're there. And we're not on an Oasis/Quantum or the Icon class so much smaller passenger ratio. Hoping that means the competition for price at the Beach Club and WaterPark aren't as high as when Wonder or Oasis ships are there.

Great video! We have been to coco cay in the summer month, we had a blast. We will go on the icon next month and wondering if it will be too cold to do water activities.
Hi karengong8309, thanks for watching. At that time of the year it can be hit or miss on weather and temperatures. I've been to CocoCay in January and February and it was very warm, but another time in mid March is was very cold. You just need to be prepared for anything

Hi DS-mo7vu, thanks for watching. There are limited itineraries with 2 stops on the island. Wasn't overly packed, but the key is to get to the water park or Oasis pool earlier in the morning.
@@TalkingCruise Yea next time we go we will get off the ship first thing - lines for slides w/ just Harmony docked were near an hour. Last time I was at coco cay it was just a beach lol.

Thanks for this video, it was really great to see everything! We're going to visit for the first time in May and are so excited. One of my all time favorite things to do at resorts is spend a day on those beach beds, do you know how far in advance you can reserve them and also, do you get a choice of area? Thanks for posting this, it was so helpful 😀
Hi Nancy, thanks for watching. Most of the time they are offered on the cruise planner at least 6 months in advance. You can't choose a specific location on the website, it appears they assign based on the order they are reserved, so book early to get a prime location.
i ws pleasantly surprised at the food quality at the buffet there. I randomly found it walking to the bathroom and the food looked fresh and quality. i got one of those coco loco drinks that are hyped up and it wasnt that good, but maybe i just got a bad pour. Prob try it again this next go around

Awesome video! Very information! One question about the Coco Beach Club, how do you book that area if you don’t want a private cabana?
Hi pammcniel9970, thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed the video. The private cabanas at the Coco Beach Club are reserved via Royal Caribbean's online Cruise Planner. Pricing will vary, but these do tend to book up quite early since there are not that many of them.
Inside the Cococay Beach Club, can you keep one of the open area beach bed/chair/umbrella for the whole day (e.g. can you leave for lunch and return to it, etc?)
Hi jlcnuh, thanks for watching. Yes, you can do that, but if you plan to be away from your chairs for more than 2 hours, it's nice to allow other guests to use them.

Great informative video and it was spot on! I realize I seem to be in the minority but my family thought it was just ok. Uncontrollable and no fault of RC but the jellyfish were brutal. That pushed most to the oasis pool which made that crowded. Also that made us swim in a pool instead of enjoy the Caribbean ocean and bays.
Hi kevinm7979, thanks for watching. The nice thing about CocoCay is the amount of choice there is. Pay for extras or not and still have an enjoyable time. Sorry to hear about the jellyfish, have had that issue at several ports over the years. I can picture how busy the pool was, the last time I visited I could barely see the bottom of the pool, there were so many people.

So, at the Coco Beach club, you can get more than one entree? Can you come back multiple times for food or is it a one time thing?
Hi Duffin X. Caprous, thanks for watching. Yes, more than one entree. I do believe as long as they are still open you may be able to go back, but they are only open for for lunch 2-3 hours each day.
This was an amazing video. We are bringing the 3 grandsons, daughter and SIL on Dec 29, 2023. We have thrill water park tickets which ooens at 8 am. The 9:30 balloon ride, and 12;30 zip line. How long does it take to walk from thrill water park to the balloon? And then from the park to the zip line? Do you have to wait a long time? Are those tickets for just 1 ride per person?
Hi Karen, thanks for watching. The walk is not far between all of these activities, maybe 10 minutes, but there is also a tram available.They do schedule the activities with time in between, so the wait should not be too much, but really depends on load times. The Zip Line and Balloon are each 1 ride per booking. Have a great time.

Excellent video. We were at Coco Cay last August on Oasis and it was just a freaking blast! It was the most fun we ever had on a cruise. But it was HOT! So we booked Anthem to Coco Cay late February 2024. How was the weather as I assume this was recent and in the winter?
Hi JC, last year I went to CocoCay in March, April and October. March was freezing (at least for us South Florida folks), but seriously it was very cold. April and October were both great. The video was filmed in April. The Bahamas tends to have very similar weather to South Florida, in February we are prone to short cold snaps that can also affect the Bahamas.

Don't worry too much, cold snaps are usually short. So far this February, it's been quite hot, so you never can predict it.

Hi Sarge The Yellow Lab, thanks for watching. This was shot in April 2022. I can tell you that I was at CocoCay in March, April and November last year. March was freezing as there was a cold snap all over Florida as well. It's really hard to predict but Feb, Mar can be scorching hot or freezing, you just need to be prepared for either.

Hi Jose, you can bring your own equipment, and you should be able to get a complimentary vest to use.

I do agree that the word cay should be pronounced key, but in the case of Perfect Day at CocoCay, the cay is combined as the branding name, not separate like Ocean Cay, Great Stirrup Cay, Half Moon Cay etc. I don't think the cay/key pronunciation applies in this case.
@@TalkingCruise it’s definitely a hotly debated topic. i just watched a video by a travel agent who deals exclusively with RC and he said Coco Key. 🤷♂️
If I had a nickel every time someone brought up this topic... Travel agents are not always correct, I was in that business for over 20 years and I know that as a fact. Besides, all Royal Caribbean marketing refers to it as cay not key, so I'd take their lead on this one.
How deep is the water at the over the water cabana slide?

Cocoa Cay is amazing. IMHO, I think the water park price is high after you had paid for a full cruise. Anyway, this video is excellent.

The fact the Royal Caribbean hasn't been promoting the dry dock, currently underway, makes me think updates will be scaled back, but any updates will be welcome I'm sure.

No Visa required for U.S. citizens to enter CocoCay. You will be cleared for all stops on your cruise prior to leaving your port of embarkation. No other checks will be required.
