With how little I know about pikmin, I wasn't sure what was happening half the time, but all the perfectly executed game hopping had me entertained the whole time. Favorites parts are definitely the gigabowser battle and just Bowser being friendly.

Love how the Pikmin were done for Yoshi's Island hope that gets a series next if the pikmin don't travel to another Nintendo setting like Kirby or Zelda

This is heavily creative as, I love how the Yoshi Pikmin are the bonus start credits and the travel to Mario land. Koopa being a good guy surprised me, as he was cloned by an evil version and the two protagonists teamed up together is a nice touch.
The world of 1-1 of Mario 2 / Lost level is a nice touch. I was not expecting such smooth animations from Golden Koopa, and the smash brothers scene with Giga Golden Koopa was well done I enjoyed it.
The ending was more what I expected as the two would fight one another once the truce was over. I am surprised that jump man just accepted Real Koopa to be an ally, which is new thing I would like Nintendo to do more often. I can not wait to see what part three will hold. That golden statue final boss of Pikmin three too forever for me to best on Wii U all those years ago.

Well Mario realized that he could help and that he was trapped along with Peach. I feel Real Koopa/Bowser would help some as fair as we know Bowser is not fully evil and is a good father.
the plasm wraith plot twist was CRAZY! at first i thought the real bowser wasn't the real one, but i was wrong.... the plasm wraith was behind the entire episode.
I didn't expect the diverse take on other games, that was really clever

This is such a good animation and the plasma wrath being the villan plus the purple pikming Goomba design is really good tbh and the pikmin to and I'm glad the wizard due what ever he's called is in thus series to.

It would be interesting if the Koopalings and Luigi return to help Mario and company defeat the true final boss. If Imajin could survive from being eaten by a Bulborb, then why can't Larry survive from falling off a pit, Ludwig from being eaten by the Baby Purple Yoshi, and the rest being petrified by the later with Ultra Bitter Spray?

I absolutely loved watching this! My favorite parts were the Yoshi's Island and Giga Bowser segments as I have very fond memories of both Yoshi's Island and SSBM.
I was surprised to see Imajin since that bullborb ate him in day 3 in super Mario Bros. 2 1:28
There is just something so inherently ironic about the protagonist of Doki Doki Panic being the original Japanese Mario 2, known in the west (and one South Korean release) as The Lost Levels.

NGL, SMB3's style is underrated in Mario animations. People tend to use SMB1, SMW, or the M&L games.
Edit 2: Seeing Imajin in other Mario styles is also quite new since he's often depicted with the SMB2USA style.
Edit 3: So Mario has extra lives? That explains how Peach and Toad got caught by Bowser despite falling into a death pit.

This was such an amazing episode! I loved how well the mechanics of Pikmin and the various Mario games were mixed together. The return of Imajin and the arrival of Giga Bowser were great surprises to be sure.

Hooray! Mario, Peach and Toad are reunited, and Bowser has joined the good guys! But OH NO!!! Plasm Wraith won the challenge and is growing gigantic! The final battle is upon us! I hope Luigi will join the heroes and all will be right with the Mushroom Kingdom!
WOW THIS IS CRAZY GOOD i love how the characters change when they go into different games, the bowser clone that is revealed to be plasm wrath, and the ending giga bowser fight! simply superb, can't wait for pt. 3!

I thought this was Super Mario Bros 3.
They traveled through so many games, it's amazing. Had so many joy outbreaks. UwU

I love the little attention to detail on how Imajin is *still* in his 8-bit form despite him being in a 16 Bit/SNES environment like Super Mario 3, with the exception to Yoshi's Island, a plus to the white Pikmin's little transition effect to be with Imajin as the captain instead of Mario.
The 8 bit sound effects that were used was just an icing on the cake for what it is. Still though, I like the little rival between Imajin and Mario, despite them working together on trying to save the princess. Kudos, HLG. You make some things that have a little attention to detail :)

For the next pikmin video you should do the rainbow pikmin that has every power and abilities of all the pikmin in the world and it can also be unstoppable and invincible and never dies and use can use it to make more of it kind and become the master.
I am missing some references, what's with the cherry, the warping and the panel selection things?
It's all from the multiplayer mode in Pikmin 3, cherries are like item boxes, and warping the other player is one of the 'items' that warps your opponent somewhere on the map
I've been a fan ever since pikmin in mario 2, and you just keeping getting better, the fanservice is amazing.
