I have really loved the music for bosses in this game, I think it is just such a good melody, and that's JUST the music. The bosses themselves were so fun and difficult when I was younger, and I still enjoy coming back to them.
I hate water wrath. The submerged castle is so hard the fact that if you wait too long in a cave, he’ll spawn, it is crazy. I have had all my Pickman die because of water wrath!
@@rosalinrodriguez1386 I love him, I have done that cave deathless before, it it sure is a pain, but it's overall a unique and fun gimmick that makes the submerged castle stand out from all the other caves. Really creepy as well. My favorite part about that cave though is when you get to the end and you just get to curb stomp the water wraith. It's definitely really stressful though, especially if you are trying to do deathless.
only pikmin 2 can have bosses where you instatly destroy it as it spawns, then have a boss that can insta-kill all 100 pikmin in 2 seconds one cave away. amazing game
Purple pikmin and berries really were the answer for a lot of these boss fights. Especially for that annoying Waterwraith that took me so long to figure out how to beat it. Emperor Bulblax's in Pikmin 2 don't stand a chance against them lol.
@@yes3206purples aren’t immune to crushing, impalement, and actually do less on initial impact. They also don’t even retain their fear immunity in 3 or 4. Purples are combat specialists with zero defensive utility and have a grand total of 4 treasures they are required for, the globes, the Pluckaphone, and the doomsday apparatus. They are not better, worse, or equal to Rock. They share no real overlap tbh. In 4 tho your dog can launch all your rocks for obscene burst.
4:26 you had the right idea with using one of the captains as bait, but did you know if you position one of them behind that curved wall the larva will bunch up on the other side of it? You don't risk losing a lot of health that way!
In 4, they are still the brute force as before, only now they lack the stun pound they had in 2. But they aren't considered overpowered, since you get them late game and getting their onion (yes they have an onion now) is really, really difficult.
@@wr5488 Apparently that’s getting fixed in 4. Hard surfaces kill them if crushed I heard. Nows there’s risk and reward for bringing them into caves and places the house which is nice. Purples in 2 though…I don’t think even rocks outclass them is how overtuned they are. Homing in when thrown, higher damage then reds, stunning too reliably, etc etc. This is before getting into sprays and their utility. There’s no drawback and you’re actively hurting yourself by not using them. They both (rock and purples) deserve their respective nerfs imo.
I love how in the original, the Emperor Bulblax was a colossal beast (at least compared to Olimar and the Pikmin) and could potentially wipe out your whole squad with a single leap into the air. (I remember being literally flattened in one go by that thing when I played the game at one point) But then in Pikmin 2, not only were the Emperor Bulblaxes greatly reduced in size, but they also can be defeated in seconds, making them laughably pathetic.

Though I feel the first Man-at-Legs would have been good to keep in since it is the main boss of a cave, whereas the double Emperor Bulblax could have been cut. Aside from that I mostly agree with what you chose to include.
He included the 1st and 2nd Fight against Man-at-Legs. The main differences between the fights is that the 1st Fight doesn't have water around Man-at-Legs where the 2nd Fight does have water. And the floors where the fights are at are different as well.
I never understood why the Burrowing Snagret is considered a boss in this game. It’s easier than it was in the first game (where it wasn’t considered a boss) and it’s also easier than a lot of non-boss enemies in this game. The Pileated Snagret, on the other hand, makes more sense being considered a boss.
I never knew Empress Bulblax could be killed that quickly. You learn something new everyday.
