@@Jean_1999 Empress, not Emperor. Emperor is so pathetic, but I've never killed Empress like this. It's normally four rounds of launching Purples onto her and waiting for her rolling attack to stop.
I knew purples were overpowered but not THAT overpowered

I have really loved the music for bosses in this game, I think it is just such a good melody, and that's JUST the music. The bosses themselves were so fun and difficult when I was younger, and I still enjoy coming back to them.

Because in Pikmin 2, electricity was the only one that instantly vaporized your Pikmin.
This game is such an underrated Masterpiece. I absolutely love this game. It is so fun and challenging!
It was challenging untill now. After this video its not. This guy litterly destroys bosses like its nothing
only pikmin 2 can have bosses where you instatly destroy it as it spawns, then have a boss that can insta-kill all 100 pikmin in 2 seconds one cave away. amazing game
Pikmin 4 bosses can be destroyed even faster.

Purple pikmin and berries really were the answer for a lot of these boss fights. Especially for that annoying Waterwraith that took me so long to figure out how to beat it.
Emperor Bulblax's in Pikmin 2 don't stand a chance against them lol.

4:26 you had the right idea with using one of the captains as bait, but did you know if you position one of them behind that curved wall the larva will bunch up on the other side of it? You don't risk losing a lot of health that way!

I had put your video on at work and only got to listen to it at first. Had to come back and watch in full cause I heard you complete them so quickly. I definitely took much longer on my playthrough. Thanks for sharing.

In 4, they are still the brute force as before, only now they lack the stun pound they had in 2. But they aren't considered overpowered, since you get them late game and getting their onion (yes they have an onion now) is really, really difficult.

@@wr5488 Apparently that’s getting fixed in 4. Hard surfaces kill them if crushed I heard. Nows there’s risk and reward for bringing them into caves and places the house which is nice.
Purples in 2 though…I don’t think even rocks outclass them is how overtuned they are. Homing in when thrown, higher damage then reds, stunning too reliably, etc etc. This is before getting into sprays and their utility. There’s no drawback and you’re actively hurting yourself by not using them. They both (rock and purples) deserve their respective nerfs imo.

Aim for the right treasure, grind bitter and spicy sprays or wait for day 31 in wistful wild

That's the best way to take it down and only bring yellows, no other pikmin can reach the treasures as well

I love how in man-at-legs 2 they give you barricades because even they know how unfair their fight was the first time and it would be twice as unfair as it would be to design it the same plus the water

Ever since Pikmin 2/Pikmin 4(since it takes place as an alt for Pikmin 1),Louie has been known as a superior lord to the creatures of PNF-404.
What I’ve learned: anything purple breaks this game
On my first play through. I returned like 2 months later and didn’t forget the empress bulblax,how i got the red yellow and purple pikmin. And I forgot the white flower garden had a boss
I love how in the original, the Emperor Bulblax was a colossal beast (at least compared to Olimar and the Pikmin) and could potentially wipe out your whole squad with a single leap into the air. (I remember being literally flattened in one go by that thing when I played the game at one point) But then in Pikmin 2, not only were the Emperor Bulblaxes greatly reduced in size, but they also can be defeated in seconds, making them laughably pathetic.

i love how most of the bosses are dead in one minute AND THE TITAN DWEEVIL TAKES 7 MINUTES.
Waterwraith is my favorite boss because when it dies it’s kind of funny

I was told the strategy that throwing all Pikmins at high and then killing babies without Pikmins and finally gather all Pikmins with one captain meanwhile one crew will be a bait for babies.

Was it just me as a kid or was anyone else scared of the bosses as a kid? Especially the waterwraith because i didn't know how to beat it until me and my brother figured out how in challenge mode in co op

The fights are virtually the same, aside from arena layout. That said I'm more confused about why they left in the second Pileated Snagret fight...

@@ModernXP_ I understand not showing every repeat, no need to see every snagret after all. Though I feel the first Man-at-Legs would have been good to keep in since it is the main boss of a cave, whereas the double Emperor Bulblax could have been cut. Aside from that I mostly agree with what you chose to include.

He included the 1st and 2nd Fight against Man-at-Legs. The main differences between the fights is that the 1st Fight doesn't have water around Man-at-Legs where the 2nd Fight does have water. And the floors where the fights are at are different as well.
