- The first generation Dodge Challenger debuted in 1970, as a sister car utilizing the same E-body as the Plymouth Barracuda.
The body was made available in a hardtop and a convertible. In the mid-1960s in the U.S., many popular pony cars (cheap, high-performance, stylish cars) were released, starting with the Ford Mustang, followed by cars like the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird. But the Challenger was released after this trend had passed its peak, a late bloomer of sorts.
However the Challenger was still very welcomed by the public at the time. One of the major reasons was probably its style, with its low, sharp silhouette and coke bottle lines. The design was by Carl Cameron, who had designed the 1966 Dodge Charger, and this design would later carry over into the 3rd generation Challenger which debuted 40 years later at the 2006 North American International Auto Show.
The first generation Challenger came in a Challenger 6, Challenger V8, and Challenger R/T (Road/Track) models. In addition, there is a T/A model which is a homologation model for participation in the SCCA Trans-Am racing, but the R/T is the most high-performance model out of the commercially mass-produced lineup.
This Fat Death track is like Laguna Seca Reverse + Rusty Springs (NFS 1994) + Klondiak Park (NFS IV HIGH STAKES).
@@purwantiallan5089 yeah 😂
Looks like a dope ass track to drift on
@@joselebron1991 The problem with this track is that it is very uneven
To be honest, Dodge perhaps did the most muscle car models. They had the Charger, Dart, Challenger, Super Bee, & Daytona.
Yes I believe so
Extra big willow springs
Yeah 😂
Damn i always wanted to create my own track in gt6 but i never got the chance to do it
It's kinda hard and I always hated my own tracks 🤣
You can still create and customise your own track in GT5.
Definitely not the same but reminds me of Rusty Springs Raceway from the first Need for Speed.
@@ShinkuKaioken Maybe because it races in the desert and the road is so wide it shows a lot of similarities
Or even the last half of the track that reminiscence to the oval track from NFS 1994.
@@purwantiallan5089 For real.
