Other than the way you parralled your batteries ,its an easy set up. The parallel wiring is wrong, works but wrong. You should of had a positive coming from one batter but the negative coming from opposite battery. They will not charge equally with that wired configuration you have there. you will kill the first battery a lot sooner.
Thanks for the tip that is really helpful!
Would that apply to any other batteries in a series…?
@@unclecraigbaannawk no just batteries wired in parallel
You should have not you should of.
Power by the Sun w/ gratitude
Right on!
What really great is that you are using a metal box. Any outside interference is blocked out like an EMP as long as you ground the box to earth ground. A modern day faraday cage
Thank you for watching!
Are you for real? I was unaware that being in that metal box would do anything to deflect EMP damage. Very cool!
@@majinvipergaming yes sir. You can place all sensitive electronics in a metal box and it will block out any electrical interferences
@@majinvipergaming it won't unless you tape all the seams with metal tape. There is a channel on here that does a nice scientific demo of cages.
@@thastinger345 Metal tape like the stuff used in HVAC? I apologize for my lack of knowledge I'm a little late to the game.
This is very helpful. Thank you for sharing! ❤

Good explanations and examples
Thanks for watching!
Nice little solar setup. Greetings from Jamaica.
Thanks for watching

Thank you Mr Tonminh!
Nice video, thank you.
Glad you liked it!
very nice ,helpful and good explanation . from AZ
Thanks for watching!
It would be nice to see a breakdown of the cost, to see if it would be something I could afford.
Check out the product links in the description where you can find out the cost. 😊
This is incredible wow!!! This is my first time to sse all this things and i have little ideal on a solar panel but I really want to learn more i don't know how i should get help
Get the Solar made easy book listed on our description!
Nice.
Thank you!
🤔 SAFETY FIRST! The VERY first thing you hook up to the Battery Pos Post is the Mains/Catastrophe Fuse or Breaker, then the load carrying wire or switch. Should ANYTHING short out, the wire connected at the battery NEEDS to be Fuse protected AT the battery. Every circuit has to be fused separately after that. The Neg wire connected to the battery needs to be connected to the other battery to BALANCE the two batteries as one big battery. Your set up makes it a Master-Slave arrangement and the Slave battery will never get to full charge and will die before the Master! The Battery wire from the Solar charge controller needs to run to the battery through its own breaker to keep the batteries topped up if the Main switch was off.
@@barntt thank you yes the system has been upgraded to implement those changes!
@@ecohabs4earth AWESOME!
Excelent..
Thanks for watching!
What size is the took box
We use all sizes -This one was about 2 feet in each dimension. Thanks for watching!
@@ecohabs4earth thank u im a cdl driver and thinking of a diy apu set up
Ipasok mona ang solar jan sa box tamang tama ang bakal sa ground..ilawan molang yan ng 6v o 12v head light ng motor o sasakyan, basta yung bulb na bilog DC..wala pang ingay
DIY Portable Solar Generator in a Toolbox
Putting the batterij in series would make it more efficiënt
Putting batteries in series doubles the voltage and we would end up with a 24 V battery system. I need a 12 V battery system so parallel is the correct way to do it.
@@ecohabs4earth you still have 2x12v
@@Manjarow you are correct 2x12=24
Nothing is free, calculate the price of those batteries and other accessories used in this system. Then count your energy consumption in Kwh you will get a price per unit of your electricity which is not cheap. So stop sayinf its free! Nothing is free my friend.
@@ferdm9646 yes, but every month we use it that price per kilowatt goes down as we have zero monthly expenses to run it😎
@@ecohabs4earth yes, but it's not completely zero rather you have already invested money on it which you cant see. We can see it this way , per kilowatt hours rate and other factors are important here not completely zero bills. Solar panels degrades overtime also batteries are using cycles. Best thing is this system is that when you build it you're cut off from fossil fuels and Carbon footprint. Cheers mate, keep it up.
@@ferdm9646 Thanks for watching and providing feedback!
It's not free. You have to buy the equipmet, hook it up and maintain it.
Yes but it is so empowering to have free electricity once you have the setup! Thank you for watching!
@@ecohabs4earth yes, it is; I have done it too; however, I still have to maintain the equipment and pay a bimonthly fee to CFE.
@@davidceron8660 as long as we move in the direction of freedom from slavery to the utility companies, we are making progress 😎
@@ecohabs4earth I agree. The new solar generators are a step forward towards that goal. I did a solar installation on a swimming pool with a swimming pool solar pump, 4 330W solar panels in series parallel and it doesn't need energy from the grid.
@@davidceron8660 oh cool. We a solar pump on our pool as well, panels attach right to a DC motor. Sun comes up, pump turns on. Sun goes down pump turns off! It’s the bestt!
That inverter is a pos it’s a modified sine wave that can damage electronics. A cheap Amazon pure sine inverter is a far better option
Yes I have since swapped it out for a pure sine wave inverter, amzn.to/3WQosYQ
