I'm a lot like Ted in some ways. At times I love it, at times I'm embarrassed. Long live one of the best Sitcoms in history. Those writers are brilliant.
I don't think the actual ending is what pissed people off, what pissed people off the most was how they basically wasted season 9. The majority of that season was made up of nonsense episodes when it could of been so much greater. Instead of all the crap filler episodes they should of gave isomer details about the mother or showed more scenes with her and ted.
Tariq Khan I personally liked season 9 ONLY because of the scenes with Ted and the mother. I hated how they spent the whole season hyping up a wedding that only lasted a couple of minutes in the finale.
that's true. season nine to me in retrospect is nothing but a bunch of weird catchphrases and rhymes. and honestly it is filled with Barney's lies and some of them have started to appear in season 8. So finally when Ted and Robin got together I was happy for Robin because it is not fair for her to end up with a liar.
Yes. They wasted like 10 episodes of filler I didn't expect the wedding will happen at the last two eps. The ending could have been okay if they show at least why Ted and Robin really should be together

Too many people see it on the first level kinda only funny after couples of show and they drop off, but they will be so surprised to see how much the dots connects together and make sense in representing what is life. No show neither movie made me think that much about my life than HIMYM, and this is major succes. major succes :P I Quote Robyn : "love is possible only with timing and chemistry" and same for liking that show overall even with the disapointment of season 9, the show had chemistry than you only need timing to have it make sense with your life.

Ted is the hero of the story. It was his journey. They use Eternal Flame at the end. They say when you meet your flame, you should forget them and go on with your life. Which is exactly what Ted did. He was in love with Tracy even before he met her. So, he got two loves out of it, maybe even three if you count Victoria, but she did not stick around. Close though. You just don’t know what life has in store, but making connections through friendships is key, as Barney said.
I am also a good person like ted. I've also made an ass of myself for one girl. I've been with different girls and got dumped, left with no explanation. I always love hard like him. I've lost all hopes for my love life like Ted did. I just admire this character so much as I've got alot to relate
great tribute with an even greater song to one of my favorite couples ever. since the beginning of this show i told everyone in my group ted & robin are meant to be, they are perfect for each other. robin and barney simply doesnt work out cuz we all know who and what barney truly is, i say that cuz i see a lot of ted mosby in myself, i also share a lot of his views on life, love etc which is why i think he is a better fit for robin. anyway i am glad they ended together at the end of the show cuz its the right thing. love ted & robin
I think Barney was never really a bad person, he was just afraid of commitment. They spent the last few seasons developing Barney as a character and threw it away in the last episode. Barney proved that he could change when he got married to Robin and I don't see why the writers would have them get a divorce. The first time I watched the show I thought the whole time that Ted should be with Robin until the last season. The last season I was finally ready to face the reality that Robin wasn't meant to be with Ted and then they got together at the end and I was disappointed. Tracy was such an excellent character and Cristin Milioti is such a wonderful actress and I think they should have had more scenes with her. But also Barney's daughter was an awesome moment and that couldn't have happened with Robin so I guess that's good. Anyway I love this show. My favorite character is Barney. I also love Lily and Marshall. And Robin, Ted, and Tracy. I loved them all they were great characters.

Since last year, I have been watching it every day multiple times. There is a Robin in every Ted's life, whom they keep chasing no matter what. One such Robin is in my life too, beyond my reach & will always be.

It would be sooo awesome if he didnt end up with Robin, I mean, what does this show? They build up for the mother for 8 seasons, then he is married with her for some years, but his feelings for robin are still not gone? This just makes everything he says (like the 45 extra days he wants to spend with her or hell love her till he dies) just sound like some stupid lie... And on top of that, what a great story would it be if he finally escaped friendzone and met the love of this life and got over her... Now we just have a story of a boy who couldnt get over one girl for 8 years and still loves her while being married to another woman only to go back to her and give it another try, like he has been doing for 8 years... Great show writing we got her

I want her to be happier because she can't hold ontu the distance me not being able to be there for her, yet it's the hardest thing to do.
