Great review - thanks! You mentioned something I found quite interesting - monitoring false colour either before or after the LUT. May I ask, which do you prefer to do and why? Thank you! :)
Since I use an HDMI lut out from my camera it doesn't really matter since I don't really put a lut on the monitor. But I would recommend using it before in that situation so any extra luts on the monitor would not interrupt the true false colors. But if you are using a lut to convert to rec 709 then I would do it after
Thank you for the review. I am starting to look around for a bigger remote screen for my G9. At 64, the camera screen just doesn't do it. Maybe 12 inch
@@harryniedecken5321 you could do that. Depends who will be viewing the screen. If it is just you as a camera operator I would look at 7 inch monitors since they are more affordable and you get all video assist features too. 12 inch or higher gets very pricey very fast
Hey Matthew! Nice review 🙌🏻 It can be a nice budget option, but.. what will happen if I usually record 4k at 60 fps? It works or better to wait and have an higher price range monitor?
@@MatthewDangyou Thanks! I think it can be a good fit for me, because I'm starting and I' m on a budget, maybe is also a good choice to see how it is to work with an external monitor! And if you used it for professional shooting, I think it can help me for long time, since I' m starting my business! With external monitor you suggest to buy first the battery only, or think about an V-mount battery? I think it would be awesome a video where you can tell people in the beginning what' s the best order to buy things if we' re just starting, and maybe we can invest in one piece of gear every 3-4 month (for example) like the better way to build a rig in time! Thank for all!
@@earthvalley for sure! Honestly the batteries I recommended (link in the bio) is what I use. They last about 4-8 hours depending on the use. I had a shoot for 5ish hours yesterday on one battery for the monitor. The Vmount is nice for the camera but once you start powering your camera monitor and everything else. The battery will drain faster. So it is kinda a trade off but personally I just use these npf batteries
Great review! Thank you!

@@harryniedecken5321 depends what you are using it for. I don’t buy really any bigger than a 5 inch monitor for camera rigs
@@MatthewDangyou Thank you, this would be for a tripod mounted camera and separately mounted screen. Maybe I should just get a small TV

You mentioned a nato rail. Do you have a link?

I shot 4K 60fps on this monitor, 4k 120fps, 6k Open Gate 30 fps. All the frame rates work perfectly fine!
