Please have a re-look at the Corp Beast bot farms. Every now and then there are like 6-8 bots that bank at Castle Wars wearing full void + zammy spear. Perfect bot movement. Almost on every world, so the farm is really big. Upvote please

Hey there. I've seen a recent trend in the Security Stronghold. I'm going down there to train on flesh crawlers as im not too high of a combat level yet. Anyway, I hopped to about half a dozen different worlds and each time I logged in there was always 2 players roughly level 70 in full adamant armor with rune scimitars. I would normally think players of that combat level would have some better gear on but that's not an indicator of anything. They also seem to stand in the same spots letting the natural agro target them with occasionally walking onto a recently killed mob, only to return to the previous spot immediately Just find it sus that there are multiple duos, in multiple worlds all wearing the exact same kit, farming the exact same monsters. Maybe i'm overthinking it but you seem to be the resident expert on these types of things.
Found 4 bots killing cows in the north cow pen in lumby . Around level 39-44. All with wooden shields and bronze long sword. Found this a few times while playing the past week. All went afk at the same time and all logged off at the same time.

I love the spooky music in the background lol should also check the mining spot in the elven city. I was shocked when I went in there I seen bunch of level 70-80s with names like pongo1223 or fhfhj22 names like those mining runite. Super surprised considered how much requirements is for song of the elves.

Hey love the videos! Could you look into the lms bots. I have recently been grinding lms for the collection log. Around 2-3 weeks ago all the bots were super easy to kill and you could just switch styles every attack. Recently, it seems like all the bots have new fighting scripts. They switch prayers immediately but most importantly they move around like crazy making it difficult to fight them. Late game fights in LMS are sometimes only bots fighting each other, they are probably winning lots of money. Some ways to check if accounts are bots is that they drop their dragon daggers early on and whip spec you when they melee you. You can also do things like mage them while holding a dragon dagger and they will pray melee. When the lms start counter starts they are holding a whip in melee gear. Also they are easy to spot due to their names and combat level. They are usually 42-48 combat and their names are in a pattern of 2 numbers a word and 4 numbers. For example 34 Lucky 2343. Thanks!

Dude. I haven't played runescape since like 2005, and don't think I ever got past the tutorial island. But I am HOOKED on your videos, they are so good. Sometimes I don't have a clue what you're talking about when referring to items, monsters, quests or areas. But I love seeing you take down bots, scammers and lurers. Even though I don't play the game I hate people that ruin games for others and you're doing great work.
Jagex really needs to hire you onto their anti cheating team, they obviously trust you very much since they take your reports seriously and even tell you what was on the bots they take down. They really should hire you.
But great videos. I really hope you read this. I think you'd find it hilarious that somone who doesn't know dick all about the game is hooked on your videos.
There's also bots around the GE that are looting bots. They pick up when people drop trash but also anytime there's a drop party. I've seen them in almost every world. It's a lvl 3 with nothing and they stay logged in for days at a time. I've reported one for 1 week+ and they take so long to get banned. I've seen them pick up mills in loot from drop parties. Would be nice to point this out to Jagex and see if they do anything about spotting these bots outside of looking at 600+ reports...

Its already locked behind regicide which is a hard quest, and all the bots already have defence.

It's a careful balancing act tbh. Bots keep mats in the market, prices are low and people are able to buy stuff. At the same time if bots are publicly noticed and Jagex is aware they are noticed they cash in and ban the entire farm and it looks like they've done their job without taking a risk of accidentally banning someone wrongfully. Remember Runeacapes history. They once claimed they never banned anyone wrongfully. The key word is never. Insane bold statement that was 100% wrong and a massive PR nightmare. They've gotta be cautious but also put on the public image of having an amazing top of the line bot detection system. I do believe them when they say they ban thousands of accounts a day. Because of the bots we see imagine the amount of bots we dont see that dont make it past the early game. People have made botting a full time job and are able to manage hundreds of accounts. Osrs team is like what? 10 people? Theres no way they'll ever ever keep up. The numbers are too huge.
If Blizzard can't keep up with bots in WoW, how is Jagex going to get rid of them all?
They gotta get paid somehow. At the end of the day it comes down to subscribers. If they banned ALL bots right now, they would lose probably 25% of their monthly revenue. That's a huge hit.

@@gr8b8m85 now, that's really a complexity issue. How is Chess able to detected cheaters? Because there's only a limited (even though a rather large number in our heads) amount of moves. But imagine a chess board the size of runescape, and there are even more moves than are even imaginable. Now imagine WoW, an even more complex and larger version of runescape.

Am i the only one interested to see how adding fatigue back into the game would work/effect bots? Required to sleep to gain more xp and doing a non bot-able captcha something or other. With a boon to actual players too: buffs or something from sleeping in PoH beds and better the higher the tier.
Games have tried this before and players hate it. It should work well in theory but people just end up complaining about having to stop what they are doing to do a random chore. Bots won't complain and will just have a script that does what needs to be done. You also can't make an unbottable captcha because of captcha solving services that allow you to pay humans pennies to complete captchas for your bot.
If you make an account so crippled that it literally cannot be played unless it's logged off for 8 hours, the bot farm will just have 2 or 3 accounts per client and have them rotate at certain time slots on VPNs that line them up with the appropriate time zone to make them harder to detect.
In general anything you do to make life harder for a bot will just have a way worse impact on actual players, because bots don't care how many hoops they need to jump through to get a task done, but players do. The only way to really combat bots is to have better bot detection or invest more into moderators that can manually find and remove the bots.
I ran into those same monkey bar bots training their skills on frogs in the lumbridge swamp I assume this was before you found them a couple weeks ago. They were all the exact same combat levels and just killed frogs and rats like crazy right near the shed.

Ya I've seen bots on a few worlds north of Falador alching and fire striking the dwarves, similar to the ones killing goblins in lumby
there are so many bots in blast mine, they often wear plague masks and ive seen multiple on the top 1-5k spot on the mining leader board

Jagex needs to hire someone with an AI background in their anti-botting team. and IF the AI would be able to ban accounts, have proper support channels for false positives.
Jaex doesn't want to ban bots. They generate revenue & they believe far more in revenue from allowing them than they lose from players quitting because bots exist. It's sad.
got a kurask task for first time in a long time and noticed a bunch of bots on each world in the same gear. Don't think anything weird is going on good gp but the worlds are flooded

We all know these bots are literally everywhere, we all know the main locations, and its completely obvious, jagex aint gonna ban every bot, they would lose out on a lot of money, i respect the guy showing these bots and what they're doing, but its nothing we all pretty much know already, pretty much pointless if you ask me

i know wintertodt usually has its fair share of bots, but there is a BLATANT, HUGE, farm running currently on the wt world 307, 24/7 all level 30-40
like really really big, and really really blantant, they all get the min amount of points and then stand at the south by the door till the rounds over
I used to pk those agility bots not too long ago and I think I mentioned it in a comment in the past, but they used to not have rune armor, it was just pineapple pizzas...
if you go to any castle wars world there are a bunch of lvl 31's making planks all have about the same stats, 10 hp, 51 magic, 50 construction
And i forget the DNA server. Most bots get banned cus they al have the same stat layout or train in a certian order. The DNA server stores the bot stats lvl and make sure they randomized between each other until they al hit 99 and they also prevent to be in the same place as much as possible but sometimes form teams with prescripted conves. Flutter cluster is a deep learning AI but it fails so badly if it encounters deeplearning AI bots. They tend to randomize outfits aswell. I mean alot of same outfit might leave a pattern too.
Jagex should just hire SirPugger already. Mans would be banning bots left and right.

The reason most bots that do skilling like agility in this example is because they are setup to do multiple different skills off of the same bot along with breaks so they will do one task then the other and back to the first in some cases to prevent bot detection just like how real players don't do the same thing all day every days for the most part and having it scripted to regear after each task adds a chance for the bot to break midway through and that obviously cuts into profit. Just like how alot will use a quest line bot and not just 1 quest at a time.

I believe there are bots under lumbridge castle. I see several account traveling down and just standing in the back corner by the cabbage. All stand in the same spot and many log out there while 1 stays behind. Then more come. I try to interact and talk but nothing. Huge range of levels too from 100's to 10
Pugger, what's your view on whether a pk'er should keep the loot they get from bots? It seems like someone could make a scam where they just kill bots to get their loot instead of muleing, it barely adds any steps to the process
PUGGER theres tons of guys in relleka slayer dungeon that bot the kurask's. They all wear obsidian and dragon armour. most obby shield and d med helm. i have screenshots of some usernames if you want them lol. they tend to log if you go to the same world as them its interesting.

Hey SirPugger I wanted to ask about a bot that I think would be pretty easy to make and I think would be pretty impossible to track. The bot in question would be a iron mining bot and in particular the guild mining area. So the way I would assume the bot would work would to have each pixel in the hitbox of the ore be assigned a number. then have a random number generator assign which number to pick so as to not be clicking on the same pixel every time. Then have a random number say 1-3 to be how many seconds the bot would wait to mine the next of the three ores. All this to in a way seem human. And the cherry on top only spend say 3 to 4 hours a day at different times during different days doing just this. My question to you is how would jagex ever be able to detect this?

Surely there's a better way to stop the zulrah bot farms? I suggest changing the roation zulrah does when you fight it to make it hard for botters to constantly discover and update their code. It's so easy to do zulrah nowadays as you know what form zulrah is going to take before the boss even changes as you can simply learn the rotations. If a mod updated the boss and randomized it then it would solve the issue. Would be harder for ironmen and more risky for HC ironmen, but at least it would solve a bot problem.
not the way to go about it at all. why change content around bots? that makes no sense. make it harder for real players meanwhile zulrah gp/hr has tanked a lot. its not the money snake anymore. the real solution would be to sit there and manually ban every single bot. You seem the same 25 mystic bots in every world all day every day. how is that not detected? they use magic-only to kill the snake.
my mate used a bat locator plugin for 3 raids and was banned the next day, but these bots have thousnads and thousnads of zulrah kc a month with no ban. Cringe ass game.

Saw a ton of bots at blast furnace recently.. they logged in like every 10 to 20sec.. always to the same spot.. if they started mining my wall i started bombing them but they always logged off if i managed to dmg them

Can you talk about all the bots at the GE who sit there to wait and loot? Recently they're in every single world. Level 3's with an egg or w/e the item is waiting for drop parties and stuff. They pick up everything over like 10k. If you have drop parties the bots will even call more bots to come do it there.
