I am going to get this phone enshaalah in June when I finish my final school year I am so hyped for this phone. I fall in love with htc devices since I first saw the HTC desire HD I still have it in my house I hope htc products are still the same high quality they were. Good job htc and keep it up 🙌
Why is everyone bashing this? They didn't change much because they don't HAVE to change much. The M8 was already one of the best phones out there last year, not much they have to do except little incremental improvements/ updates. The 20 mp camera is definitely a plus though. If you watch MKBHD's video and outlook on this, he says the same thing, in my opinion all they need to do is make the display better, I want a display that has really good color accuracy and good contrast, I used to hate Samsung's OLED displays, and for some reason always praised LCD displays, but recently Samsung's displays have been extremely good, with excellent color accuracy and of course terrific contrast since it's an OLED display. Also, I'm fine with 1080p resolution, 440 ppi is enough to make it so that the naked eye can't tell the difference between higher resolutions anyways.
So what if they changes the camera . I am not spending 700 bucks for the camera . They had low sales they needed a bigger change in design even though it is still the best looking phone but they could make even better only then will i give them my money gladly but for now i guess i am sticking with my m 8
I owned the m7 and switched to the m8. Wasn't a whole lot of difference to support the upgrade. Don't see a whole lot in the m9 besides the more mega pixels in the camera. I'll be sticking with my m8 a little longer. Not making that mistake again

i'm pretty sure the m9 is not supposed to be for m8 users. obviously, not much has changed. the m9 is for all of the people that said "the htc one has a terrible camera, other than that the phone is perfect! would buy other than the camera" i think htc is trying to get all of those people on board, instead of just the people that upgrade every year. along with new people, i'd say its for people who were upset about the Camera on the m7 after they bought it. (hence the reappearing design elements from the m7). so i think they weren't planning on m8 users to dish out 700 bucks for it, not all of them anyway. i cracked the screen on my m8 and i'd rather bump up my specs than get another m8. That being said if my m8 was not cracked, i wouldn't be upgrading, either.
i don't know why people bash on htc for using a 1080p display and not redesigning their phones the phone is already very nice looking and for the display it's more than enough 300+ ppi is great and if they went with a 2k display the performance is going to be slower just think of what a snapragon 810 with a 1080p is going to do against 2k displays with the same processor IT IS GOING TO SET WINGS AND FLY INTO THE SUNSET!!!!!!
Galaxy S6 Uses a better Processor, HTC had to go for the Snapdragon 810... but samsung went for the best and uses its own Exynos 7.. Touchwiz was also trimmed down 40%.. they also use Metal (the one used on airplanes) and Gorilla Glass 4... I'm sorry but your comment was Pointless. Good day :)
TouchWiz is still the shittest UI out there, and I thought we were done using glass on the back?? Also, the Exynos chip isn't even close to competition, Qualcomm, Nvidia, and Apple's processors are ahead of the game here. No removable battery or expandable storage, I'm sure Samsung fanboys are really happy about that right, since that's what they kept complaining about on other phones lol.

It's a power button, but you can change it to something else (like a menu button) or just remove completely and only have 3 buttons if you want.
