One HUGE thing that was not mentioned in the video or mentioned in these comments is the Night Sorceries are considered invisible, meaning bosses and enemies will NOT react and dodge them. In my opinion that is the best quality of those types of sorceries.
Another thing that I LOVE about this build is because it focuses on invisibility sorcery, it doesn't proc that auto dodge that some enemies have, making it so you hit so much more often!
This is definitely something I intend to put to use on Malenia because I've had a bad time dealing with the late game bosses trying to use other mage setups and, after getting back into the game nearly a year later, I don't want to put up with that crap any more. I brute forced my way past everyone else, but I left her for last because I really hate her.
I love this build feels extremely powerful, for armour I used the Black knife assassin set which made it feel even more powerful out in the world as you can dictate the fights normally getting the first hit off and I found it took around half the health off field bosses if not more before the even reacted to my presence. Amazing build exactly what I was looking for in a mage build. Keep up the good work mate
Love this build, thanks! My most successful build (still haven't beaten the game, very close though) is my "Nox Champion" build. It's very RP/lore heavy with the idea that the Noxian people were masters of the flowing blade technique (blue dancer charm) as well as magic (Night sorceries), whom trained the Black Knife Assassins, Malenia, and the Blind Swordsman as well as Ranni and Rennala.
Built this build a year ago and came back because of the DLC announcement. Still (imo) the most broken mage build and SUPER fun to use too bcuz your not using a "braindead" mage build like others, but still broken nevertheless. I'm for sure using this first thing for Shadow Of Erdtree.

Well I won't tell you taught me anything here (played hundreds of hours with a lot of different SLs builds, normal) but it was my intent to use this kind of build on my next playthrough once I reached NG+. I never thought we could get such absolutely insane damage without adding things like seppuku, rot or poison to buff yourself like those crazy buffs and gear rotations before a fight. You just made my eyes shine. Thanks for that, sir!!
First of all, Golden Vow is not a body buff, it's actually an aura buff. You can only have one boff from each category on at once, except for the uncategorized buffs like Terra Magica. However, I don't understand where you get the 700% from. Could you care to explain? Weapons: Staff of Loss: 30% Staff of Loss: 30% Active Buffs: Body buff: Howl of Shabiri: 25% Aura Buff: Golden Vow (Incantation): 15% Terra Magica: 35% Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear: 20% Talismans: Magic Scorpion Charm: 12% Grave-Mass Talisman: 8% Godfrey Icon (Only charged Spells): 15% Together (Multiplicatively): 1.3*1.3*1.25*1.15*1.35*1.2*1.12*1.08*1.15 = 5.47, i.e., 547% With Ritual Sword Talisman you can reach roughly 600%. But I am really unsure of how you got it to 700% as that isn't shown in the video by my calculations.
That is some crazy damage dude. Have you messed around with Raptor claws + bloodflame blade? On my Voldo build those 2 combined with Golden vow, flame grant me strength, and the flame shrouding cracked tear just decimates PvE and PvP. Easy bleeding with high damage without leveling Arcane even once.

Proccing frostbite, resetting with fire.) - Khorne, the Demon Knight (arcane / str with Dragon Communion incantations / Aspects of Crucible. Powerstanced Bleed Warped Axes, also Moghwyn's Sacred Spear. Strength bleed build) - Lazarus, the Hell Priest (faith / arcane with pyromancy / black flame / Bloodboon / Bloodflame Talons / Frenzy incantations. Fire, black flame and bleed in one build) - Godslayer (dex / faith with Godslayer's Greatsword / Godskin incantations / Black Flame tornado AoW. Black flame DoT that scales infinitely) - Nyx, the Night Sorcerer (int sorcery, very similar to Moxsy's actually but also with Night Maiden's Mist / Founding Rain of Stars for area control / Meteorite of Astel / Rock Sling for physical / Night Comet). Remember Ranni's Dark Moon which lowers enemies' magic resistance by 30% and can apply frostbite. - Raekor, the Warrior (pure strength / high endurance and defences / bull goat set / colossal weapons. Troll's Roar / Eruption AoW. Benefit from Lord of Blood's Exultation.)
Hi, for the powerstanced dark moon and helphen. It’s mentioned « "Ghostflame" does not deal any Fire Damage » on fextralife. So, by which means do the sword reseting cold debuff ?
@@Kelsim Initially I was powerstancing those to deal frostbite fast, the reset was happening with Fire's Deadly Sin on me as I was close to enemies. Finally someone showcases the night comet. I have been on this spell and the staff of loss for so long.. Also the night comet pierces enemies, can kill several at once if the enemy is lined up right. My favorite part about this spell is that NPC invaders do not roll out of the way. sitting ducks.

A thing that you can also use for the gloves is the black knife set it looks pretty good with the armor so just wanted to let you know that if you wanted better physical protection even though It's not much.
One gameplay change I wish they would introduce to streamline combat is to reduce cast time on buss, and add buffing procs to other skills, that would allow for combo gameplay.
I have never tried mage builds in any Souls game (because I'm so used to use melee builds) but this one seems fun to try, thank you so much for sharing!
For pvp, use double staff of loss only. Use night shard, carian slicer, stars of ruin, and carian piercer. Use graven mass talisman, graven stone, radagons icon, and great jar talisman. No need for any faith, as you won’t be buffing. The only stats that matter are 60 vigor, 40 mind, and 80 int. For lvl 200, use extra stats in endurance to light roll. And you will completely destroy everyone. I maybe lose 1 out of every 50 fights in the coliseum at lvl 200

Just mentioning that if you're not limited by level and you also have equal Faith and Int, then Prince of Death + Staff of Loss does basically the same damage as Staff of Loss + Staff of Loss, having the added advantage of doing way more damage with all your other spells, not just night comet.
No it doesn’t I’ve tested that out.Staff of loss x2 for night comet does the most damage. Anything else prince of death is better at max int and fai. Know your stuff before you post it.
If you don't have 2 loss of staff, I think watch dog staff is amazing with the same buffs, and since it scales with strength you don't have to dump points into INT.
Thank you, used night comet to defeat quite a few bosses in the DLC. Please, if you see this message, what is the name of the song and the band in the beginning of the video? 😁
As a Souls vet I believe that anyone can beat the game pretty easily if they are willing to put the time into it to understand how things work and actually be strong. A good magic build you can kill almost anything in the game without even needing to move and since it has lock on you can more or less instantly vaporize any opponent without needing to aim either. It might take a few tries to get the timing right but you can more or less laser of doom any boss in the game into non-existence. You can also get up to 2 helpers to come do the job for you.
It is not that hard but it does take patience. The fun of the open world is if you hit a boss you can’t beat, explore someplace else, collect stuff, do some crafting, and level up. If you like lore, watch some videos. That will increase immersion. In terms of mechanics, this is the easiest From Soft imo because they have added assists like the spirit ashes and the stakes of Marika, so you can get help with the hardest fights and if you die you don’t have to slog through the entire dungeon again just to get back to the boss.
My moxzy your so original , like come on you doughnut, make something new ffs it’s embarrassing to watch you do same build as 10 other already have done.

No it doesn’t I’ve tested that out.Staff of loss x2 for night comet does the most damage.
Anything else prince of death is better at max int and fai.
Know your stuff before you post it.
Song in the beginning is Our waking hour - Sanity
What weapon is he wielding at 8:50 ?
Ringed finger
Great build, thanks
Thanks for the build I beat the game at max level with a similar build just more optimized for max level in 49 minutes

In PvP, effects that normal block or reflect magic (Erdtree Shield for example) will NOT stop the sorceries.
You rarely have time to do all that preparation before the boss one taps you
Perfect. You can also use Ranni's Dark Moon on bosses for even more damage, reducing their magic damage negation.
Been having some real fun with this build it kicks arse. The question is would it be viable for PVP? If not what changes would i have to make ?
you'll get obliterated if you try to use this terrible build for pvp.
If you don't have 2 loss of staff, I think watch dog staff is amazing with the same buffs, and since it scales with strength you don't have to dump points into INT.
Nope, Lusat's +9 at least. Cast spells with WD staff and Lusat's (upgraded) in RH with SOL in LH and check out the damage difference.
Do all staffs double stack like that or just the staff of loss? Does the same principle work with meteor, royal carain etc.?
This the build I use, you’re revealing all my secrets man
You missed the biggest reason Night Comet is so good: dodge spamming enemies (most that matter) won't dodge it, unlike every other non tracking spell.
A very unique and fresh build well done Moxsy! Might have to reinstall just to try this!
What class did you start with and setup with? Curious as to how i get this off and running
What would your plain stats be with out any talismans? Or Stat buffs from clothing
Could I use this build but swap the staffs of loss with other staffs that increase certain spell damage types and get the same effect?
Yes
I think you should've kept up with the eldin ring content! I really enjoyed how you explained everything and it was just nice to listen to
Ancient dragon lightning build next please.
Thank you, used night comet to defeat quite a few bosses in the DLC. Please, if you see this message, what is the name of the song and the band in the beginning of the video? 😁
Found it, for anyone interested, it's "Our Waking Hour - Sanity ".
Do a Nihil build Moxsy! Its crazy fun and a little risky depending on the boss.
A nice fun build with huge damage and simple buffing :) Renala was a bit of problem rather
May I know how to equip both similar staff on left and right hand ?
Could you send a link on how to get all of those items?
I've considered getting this game but what I hear about the difficulty (of all games from this company) is really offputting. Is it truly that hard?
The armor reminds me of the Nightingale armor from Skyrim
I literally yelled to my girlfriend “MOXSY POSTED ANOTHER ELDEN RING BUILD VIDEO” now time to sit down and watch the show. 😎
My moxzy your so original , like come on you doughnut, make something new ffs it’s embarrassing to watch you do same build as 10 other already have done.
Based
I didnt know any buff rotation and this video fucking saved me, I was about to lose my mind with Malenia :v thanks man

I just got it havent played at all. What is a good starting build?
