Huge respect to you for talking about this David. Not an easy thing to talk about, let alone post for thousands to watch online. I can definitely relate to a lot of what you said, I went through some of the same stuff, definitely sucked. Again, props to you man for making a video about this. I don't think I could. It was hard enough for me to mention my financial issue last week with getting rid of the BRZ. Keep up the great videos David, so many people really look up to you.

If you had cued the right music, I honestly would've cried. You have no idea what I'm going through in my head and on the outside. Thank you for this video, and it is really helping me out. My parents are going through a divorce, my Mom only loves me for my grades, people don't treat me with respect, a bunch of other stuff, my grandpa is dieing, people don't understand who I am, and they don't understand how cars are my or can be anyone's passion. Whenever I have a hard time, I always come and see this video. Subscribed since 8k, and have never been disappointed. You honestly can't understand how much this is helping me. Im only 13, but its been one hell of a journey already. I hope I'm ready for this world which can sometimes can be filled with ignorant and selfish people, but can have some down to earth, understanding, unbiased people like you. You give me hope, David, and so does the wonderful car community. Thank you guys, and please support each other, because you never know what they could be going through. It can take only one word to change someone's life in a huge way. Please remember that. Thank you David for this wonderful video. I really mean it.

People underestimate the therapeutic power of just going for a late night drive somewhere quiet, windows down, with some good loud music, for real though I'm going through this stage right now, feeling like there is no way out, everything just seems to be going upside down, I go for drives regularly and it helps me to escape that place for a little while, even though I'm only 18 and drive a little Citoren c3 at the minute, it's better than nothing. Something about driving just calms me down

Wow I'm speechless David, I was stupid as a teenager and got into drugs and even got in some legal trouble, it ruined my reputation at my highschool, luckily I was academically gifted and was able to get into a very good college (Ohio State University) and was able to find new friends. I was never into cars until I was 16 and started driving, I guess I didn't fall in love with cars I initially fell in love with driving which led to me becoming someone who loved cars. Like you said driving around on some back roads was my therapy. I ended up selling my first car and buying an e46 m3. When I went to college there was someone in my dorm wing that I saw parked a slammed 350z next to my lowered e46 m3. He ended being my best friend throughout college and I met him by complimenting him on his car, he told me I should go to some of the local car meets and meet some really awesome people and so I did. And now I am still good friends with many of these people all because of a car community, its amazing now I find car people that I relate to everywhere. Just this week I saw someone park a new 2015 mustang gt by my car at my church I approached him and said I really like his car and we started talking and he said how he just moved in the area and didn't know anyone so I invited him to the local car meet this upcoming weekend. Its funny how I was welcomed to this community and then I had the chance to do the same.

Really Inspiring David, Im in 8th grade right now and i only really have 10 friends at school, and nobody wants to hang out with me because they know i'm into cars, and all anybody does in my school is talk about video games an what not. There are maybe like 3 people that are into cars at my school. Then i started going to classic car show in my town, and the DJ has seen me running around taking pictures, and he came up to me and wanted me to work for him because he was getting kind old cant run around as much as i can. From that day i knew my life would be changed. I meet so many people from the car shows and was easily accepted. I have more 50 year old car friends than friends at my school. Then i started going to cars and coffee, and i met some car spotters about my age, and then i knew i finally found some friends my age, who share the same hobby as me. Now its crazy to think i went from the most unpopular kid at school (which i still am one of them) to just hanging out with all these cool people in the car community and respect me.

I know the feel, I've always been Dan the car guy, the one that a few would talk to but never about cars. Anytime I'd start talking about cars, I'd either get shut down or ignored. I recently met a dude with a 95 240sx, who is starting to show me around to the other kids at my school who are car guys as well. Nothing feels better than having someone to share a passion with that actually cares

I know this is an old video, but I'm going to comment on it anyway because what I'm about to say means a lot to me. No one will probably see this, and if anyone does, it will probably be skipped over, but I feel like it should be said anyway...
So, On January the 6th, of 2016 at 1:17 AM. My life changed... Here's my story.
So the date's July 11th, 2014. And I got invited to a friends birthday party, where I met his family and his sister(Important).. This is where it all started. I became close with the family, and his sister. So close I began staying at their house for days on end. It became my second home pretty much. After a while, I and his sister got closer, and began dating... It was the best feeling ever, I never loved anyone as much as I loved her.. We dated for a while... And time went on. We were very happy. Then, I got into a fight with her dad... He told me to never come back... That was in November of 2015... So the next 2 months was really hard for me and my girlfriend. We went from seeing each other every day, and falling asleep in each others embrace, to being limited to only talking on the phone for 10 minutes a day, and texting on Facebook... It got tough...
Fast Foward to January the 5th, 2016 at 11:21 PM.
It's raining... Me and my girlfriend fought all day the previous day, and haven't talked at all today.. I'm feeling terrible, and sick, and just wanting to call her, but she won't answer... at 11:21 PM I get a text from her saying "I can't do this, I've dragged this on too long, I don't love you anymore.. Feelings change, we're over, Don't call. Don't text. And most of all, Forget I existed, cause I never want to see you again. Goodbye."
I broke down crying.I called my Grandmother who had raised me from birth, but she didn't answer, so I wrote a note, and left it on my fridge, knowing she'd find it eventually. Then I stepped out of my house. and got into my truck. I started it up, got on the highway. and mashed it to the floor. My speedometer maxes out at 120. And the truck saw every bit of that, and the speed just kept climbing, and climbing, and climbing. I didn't care about the risk anymore. I wanted to die... And I honestly thought to myself... "Tonight's the night I die." Then... My truck looses all power. and coasts to a complete stop in the middle of the interstate... I get out of the truck, and push it to the shoulder, then I open the hood on the truck, and start trying to find out why it shut off. Turns out all it was is a 'hot' wire going to my distributor had come unconnected somehow. So I reconnected the wire. got back in my truck, and drove home. I walked through the front door, to see the letter hanging on my fridge. I took the paper, folded it up. and went back outside to my truck and I stuffed it into my visor. and I sat in my truck for a minute and began to think... I realized that when I was working on my truck, nothing else was on my mind.. Not her, Not them, not trying to take my own life, nothing. That's when I realized my drug. It's not some narcotic, or anything medicinal. It's work. So I spent the next 2 months working on my truck. I rebuilt the engine, I painted it, I fixed up parts of the broken interior pieces, I rewired some of the wires in the harness. When I was working on my truck, nothing else matters... And guess what? I recently got invited to join TWO! Local car clubs, and it's not exactly easy to get in these clubs either. I even got invited to participate in my first car show held by one of the clubs too, and next week, I'll be attending a car meet we have set.
I'm not exactly what you'd call a very religious person or anything, but I think that that night. On January the 6th, something or someone wanted me to stick around in the world for a little bit longer.. I don't know why yet, but I'm sure some day I'll find out... But for now, Car Culture, and it's enthusiasts are my family.
"I live my life a quarter-mile at a time. Nothing else matters... For those ten seconds or less, I'm free."

hey I would hate to to dig back up something old but I'm curious, how do you think such a thing happens? with relationships that is, like going from being the most important person to not caring at all in a short time frame, it's kinda shocking.

    • @RizoProduction
      @RizoProduction 7 лет назад +4

I'm honestly not sure. To be completely 100% honest with you, I think that in the end, they didn't care to begin with. Some people just don't put as much effort into a relationship as others, and the ones that care the most are the one's that get hurt the most.. Some people just arn't meant for each other.
It's been over a year now and I still think of her every day, but now I see that maybe it was for the best.
You know how people say things happen for a reason? Well get this.
That truck I worked so hard on, the truck that saved my life. Someone offered me money for it in the middle of a parking lot, and it was an offer I couldn't refuse. The money I got from it I was able to use it to buy a new car that was far more reliable. The truck I had was a great truck, especially after all the work I put into it, but there's no was it would have made a long road trip. But the new car I bought would. So What did I do with the new car? I took it on a road trip. 2,000 mile round trip, and 27 hours on the road.
I went and seen my 3 little sisters, I haven't seen 2 of them in over 11 years, they were babies walking around in diapers then, and one of them I have actually never met untill I took the trip to see them. So this trip meant everything to me, It was a gift that i wouldn't trade for anything.
So if that girl would have never broke my heart like she did, I would probably still be sitting here with a clapped out old truck that cant even go down the highway without breaking down. Instead, she did break my heart, and I did restore that truck, and someone noticed the hard work and offered good money for it.
It's because of that one little speedbump in my life, that lead me to the door step of my little sisters and mothers house 2000 miles away from where I live. When that door opened and I seen that big smile on my sisters face, that is what I worked for. I wouldn't trade that single day for a million lifetimes with the girl I once fell in love with, because I know that that single smile was more genuine than any of the smiles my ex ever gave.
So why do I think stuff like this happens? Between relationships and stuff? Many different reasons. No one can no for sure, but one thing I know for sure is that I found my reason. So if you're in a similar situation, just hang in there, you'll find yours too.
Time for me to drop a gear and disappear.

    Hi David,
I'm only a recent subscriber, but I'm so thankful for everything I have seen so far! It's awesome to see someone doing what they're passionate about and truly love. However, it's amazing and you have clearly inspired many people, to keep doing what they're doing!
I see so much truth in this, and so brave of you to share some of your life on such a public forum. I myself have gone through some massive changes in the last 12-15 months, which have been some of the hardest things in my life. However, they've also been some of the most rewarding as well.
Long story short, I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and had a massive food addiction because of my emotional issues and problems. However, this was the catalyst for me to do something about it. I've can now sit here and say that I've lost 60 kg (132 pounds) and completely turned my life around.
Thankfully, I have had some amazing people and of course my love of cars, which has ultimately caused me to find your channel. Cars have been one of the things that's constantly inspired me and kept me going through the hard times. So thank you for doing what you do, and I can't wait to see what's next.
    Peace.

Wow Dave. I've been trying to explain this to people for so long and never got it right. No one could ever understand why cars have been so important in my life. The friends you make, the people you meet, the ideas you create, the ups and downs, everything. It's like you've entered my brain, and organised everything so that I can explain to people and they understand why I love the automotive community so much. I'm glad you decided to hang around, because you make some killer videos and reinforce the idea behind the whole automotive scene, to the people that may never understand or just don't like cars, bikes, trucks etc. I will be sharing this video with everyone, because I know there will be someone out there, like me, who has been struggling to explain his passion to the masses. Thanks again David.

I watch your vids regularly and have never commented before. But just wanted to say this is your best one hands down. A lot of times we see people and have preconceived notions about them, usually thinking they have a better life than us. But in reality most of the time their lives are not that much different than ourselves. They have good days , they have bad days (sometimes VERY bad days), they have insecurities, dreams and worries.
But despite all that, the most important thing you said is "one action can completely change your life."
I hope this vid inspires and helps other to find and take that one action. Thanks for sharing your life with us.

I went through all the things you've gone through with some extra baggage(i.e. 6 years of opiate dependency). I'm a firm believer in "you're the product of your environment.".. Which is why I've excelled in the past 2 years living with my mother.. Here I am 3 years clean with a ghetto ass cd6 coupe. Was once suicidal, but now, here to stay..

You're too real. This video made me think more than just how cars can bring people together, but it really made me think about my friends and family. As well as how I met others; whether it being from studying abroad in Tokyo, to holding on to close friends since grade school. I've always found myself in a story still unwritten, but still appreciating what I've read and what I will see later on in my life. (Which I hope to be me embracing the car hobby.)

22, from Detroit, going to school for medicine and COMPLETELY identify with you David. Cars have literally always been my love, my passion. I finally got my muscle car this past february (08 G8 GT) but before that I had a couple bmw's. You are right, they speak to your soul. Something about cars and the effect they have on people who love them makes it so easy for us to bond with one another. Hopefully you'll be in Detroit for the dream cruise this year or something. I'll be on the look out for that grabber blue 'stang. You have definitely inspired me to look for car meets around my area. Idk why I never have. Thanks bro. Keep up the great work! Subscribed.

Your video hits home, bro. Keep doing what you do, you are NOT the only one that goes through this stuff. Glad you were able to make a video about it, as a lot of us can relate to this. Cars save lives and having a good group of friends that you can share this passion with, is crucial.
I won't get into detail because we all have our own story, but this video really touched me. I don't think I have ever subbed to anyone but, you will definitely be getting a new sub from me man. This is awesome, keep moving forward!

This is the first video I see of you. I clicked on it because RUclips suggested it and the title got my attention.
That's one hell of a revelation you did there.
I know exactly how you felt/feel.
My whole experience of life since I was 12-13 years was really negative. Nothing bad happened, but I experienced it all wrong, let it all get to me, etc
When I was 16,5, I got my first moped and, even though I had never heard or seen anything about it, I started modifying it, wanted to put my own stamp on it.
This weird way of 'wasting money' as many called it put me even further away from the rest.
Same thing with my car when I was 18 (I'm from Belgium, so were only allowed to drive in a car when we're 18).
Only after I moved out when I was 19,5, starting life in a new location, everything started to make sense.
New people, same interests, no longer the environment you grew up in, with all it's memories, ...
Only thing that kept me from doing something to myself was not wanting to put any strain on my parents, both emotionally and financially.
Looking back at it now, it all seems so futile, but if there's one thing I learned from those years, then it's definitely that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
Something can look so good or bad, if you like or don't like it, don't care about what somebody else thinks about it. Do what makes you feel good, not the other.

But just hearing and watching this encouraged me greatly. I don't quite know where God is leading me in my life, but I know it'll have to do with cars as well somehow. Thanks so much for this video, it was a critical encouragement for me. Seriously!

I moved to a new town when I was 8, my father passed away when I was 9, and my grandmother on my father's side passed away when I was 10. By then I still didn't really have any true friends until around high school started. It was really hard being called "ugly" all the time, and people telling me I had no life. I was so stressed out because of the pressure put on me to be like who my father was, and the pressure of my peers bullying me day by day. Right at the end of middle school, I opted to join marching band, and that would forever change my life. I almost didn't join because I didn't really like it at first, but I ended up making the best friends I could possibly imagine. I can't imagine myself living without music in my life. Now that I'm graduating soon, I look back, and think about how music has really saved my life.

  • @LimpHz

David, you're fucking awesome man! I can sort of relate because my girlfriend of just over 1.5 years broke up with me for another dude last summer. I was living with her at the time whilst going to school, so of course I had to move out, which put a crap ton of stress on me. Like you, I didn't have very many friends because all I needed was my girlfriend. I powered through that stress and got A's in the classes I was taking at the time; needless to say that wasn't particularly easy. Then, I started a whole new series of classes a week or two following this little crisis, which put even more stress on me. I was suicidal for a good few months after that dealio, but guess what... I was able to counteract that mindset when I discovered headlight retrofitting. It's super fun to do, while improving people's nighttime driving safety, so it's super satisfying as well; there's nothing better than seeing a huge smile on your customer's face. Ever since I started doing that, I've been a happier person; I met some of my current friends thanks to the car scene, I fill my time up with what I love to do, and I make a little money doing it. Now since I've been living a happier life, I'm happy to say I will be graduating college with high honors and will be meeting many more people throughout the summer thanks to the car scene. So, I guess you could say car culture saved my life as well. P.S. I might be making a road trip down your way this summer, so it'd be badass if I could have you review my car! I've got a somewhat unique one for ya!

Oh man what a great VLOG! It really spoke to me because I sort went through the same things growing up, was the one everyone picked on a bullied in school and didnt have many friends, really only a few. Once I graduated from high school I was happy to be out of there but still feeling very emotionally beat up and bruised and wanting to fit in so badly. So for me what really turned my whole life around and really helped me to come out of my shell was joining the Toronto Civic Club back when I was 18 in 2003 and immediately it was like I found a whole new family, a car family. It was such a positive and life changing experience, and I have so many great memories from those days when the club was still around.

I don't know if you'll ever understand how this video impacted me. I had never heard of your channel nor seen any of your videos ever before, but by chance I stumbled upon this video tonight, while feeling particularly worse than usual. I've tried for many years to be someone I wasn't, taking up a sport I hated and behaving like an entirely different person in an effort to fit in at school, though ultimately these efforts only left me feeling worse and feeling like I really had no real friends at all. I feel much like you described your past to be, and this really stuck with me. I recently have been developing an interest in cars and have been trying to learn as much about them as I can. You mentioned Cars and Coffee in the video, and out of curiosity I looked to see if there were any in my area. In a stroke of luck, there happens to be one not more than 10 minutes away from me this very Saturday. I am going to attend, and who knows, I might just meet some cool people like you did.
Thank you so much David, I don't think I'll ever meet you, but please know that you have made a difference in at least one person's life.

I literally cried watching this. I have had my own struggles, I recently got out of a deep depression, I had an apartment with a room mate who was never around, never helped with anything whatsoever. It being my first time out on my own, this made it extremely difficult for me to function in school, being a full time college student taking 16 credits, along with having to work 30+ hours a week to pay rent, it was a nightmare. I then started to self medicate, which turned into an addiction. I felt my life spiraling out of control. I am an IT guy, so computers have consumed my time and was a great way for me to express myself because I could customize how my computer looked and everything about it was my own creation. I see your passion for cars and it really makes me want to be a better person and pursue my dreams. Knowing you are not alone, and that we are all fighting our own battles, is really what brought me out of my depression. Keep up the great work, you have a passion and I along with many other people support you!

One of the best videos I've watched David! I'm currently in high school and from the start, I too have tried just to be friends with everyone but it hasn't always been the easiest. I made three really close friends through golf (and cars, my two friends are big car guys too), and they have really helped me since. I still never felt like I truly fit in with everyone else though. When I got hospitalized for three weeks over the summer I lost the ability to play golf until I gained my weight, strength, and stamina back. Then, ironically I got rear ended on the beltway and my grandmothers hand-me-down buick regal was totaled. At this point, I was really down. I lost my entire summer, got diagnosed with a disease I'll have the rest of my life, and I can't do the one thing I really enjoy doing. I got pretty depressed I convinced my parents to start looking at new used cars for me and my dad (being a big car guy himself) realized it might help me out. We went searching and I found my new baby, a 2003 bmw 540i m sport. In my opinion, one if the best looking bmws ever built :). After getting the car and taking care of it for over a month now, my whole perspective has changed. I joined the bmw car club of America and join my grandfather in meets with the club. I love taking care of my car, going for rides, and talking with other car people. I tell my dad how much I adore the car all the time. Seeing it clean and waxed brings the biggest smile to face! Thanks for sharing your story man! It really makes me feel better and gives me hope for after high school because these are not the "greatest years of my life" haha. But, if you are ever in the area and possibly want to do a review of my car, I'd be willing to do it if you are! I'm in northern MD in finksburg, hit me up whenever your i the area!

I'm only 14 right now and I'm one of the only people in my town town that is interested in cars. I live in a small city called Eunice in southern Louisiana and I have never seen fast cars, felt REAL acceleration, or anything else interesting. The fastest car (top speed) that I have ever seen is an SLS and that was on my way to New Orleans. I have seen probably 4 GTRs, 1 or two Vipers, a few BMW M's and Mercedes AMG's, and a Bentley Continental or 2. Those are the only interesting cars I've ever seen, besides old Accords and Civics with loud exhausts and an old Maserati, and I've only seen each car once (except for one of the GTRs, which I saw three or four times). But that's it so even though I can name most cars (a lot of them just by seeing a headlight on when it's pitch black outside) I have no one to talk about cars to and people actually get annoyed when I talk about cars. My family cars so little about cars that they don't even know that the "M" on the gear selector is for manual. They're are no car meets around me. So the only time I see good cars is on a screen.
So in other words I love cars but they're are no cars around me to love. What can I do?

David, you are my inspiration to keep going still. You have no idea how much I'd love to hangout with you just for one day. I met a couple friends at local car meet and my story is the same as you. I've had 2 open heart surgeries and that changed me. It made me almost want to leave too, but then I got involved with cars and it made me change my thinking. You've made me change my thinking because I see how happy cars make you and make me. David, thank you for making these videos and making me look forward to something. I'd love to meet up with you one day if you're ever on the west side (Utah).
Thanks again David. You've saved me from my depression

I haven't been subscribed for to long. But this was one of the best videos I Have seen. I am going threw that period in my life right now so I can relate to what you are saying. Hobbies do save people's life. Not to many people would talk about it. Much respect David.

Mr Patterson, you are an exceptional individual. I have a massive amount of admiration for you posting this video. You speak for so many more than just yourself here, cars are and always will be one of the largest parts of my life I have many friends due to the fact that we share this obsession with out 4 wheel counterparts. There an extension of ourselves, not to sound corny but I feel it's a mirror image of who we are as people. A visual expression of our souls, we poor so much money time emotion into what we build and through this we have a since of respect for one another. We all don't share the same taste but we all share the love that is the car scene and in my opinion there is no stronger bond amongst strangers than this. Your a legend bro, never met you probably never will but I have a great deal of respect for you and what you do keep it up.

Great video David, had me a little choked up! You're so right about the car culture being so supporting and accepting. I went to a Mustang meet last week and immediately all the guys there introduced themselves to me and welcomed me into their group. I had never made friends so easily in my life. Its awesome to see how well you're doing now. Keep up the great work!

Watched your videos for a little bit now, recently been getting into the car culture myself slowly over the past year or so! Actually looking at getting my first manual, a 2.5 RS or WRX. I think those high school years are tough for a lot of people. They were for me, and with some of my friends, too. Just got through them myself and I agree with you 100%. I just think it's great how you're so comfortable with your fans to open up to us this much! You seem like a really down to earth, easygoing kind of dude, and I totally think everything about your videos and passion for cars is awesome! You definitely made a subscriber out of me!

High school sucked for me too, and I bailed to America the second I finished up (I'm from Australia). Best decision of my life. 2 years later, and I'm now starting to get into cars, and your channel is something I look forward to visiting whenever I get time in between my studies. Great video David, and keep being real. Keep showing emotion. Its one of the things I love about you videos :) Thanks for sharing man

Props to you man for letting this topic off of your chest. I know how hard it is to talk about this. Me and you have A LOT of things in common that you've said and kinda hit me hard to know that I wasn't the only one who had gone through something as similar as we both have. Just like cars saved you. Cars saved me more than once. I respect you so much for being able to talk about this cuz it takes massive balls to do it. I have not talked about my story to anyone fully yet because I am to scared that they may think I am crazy, weird, or just someone looking for attention. And from the looks of things you know exactly how I feel. Keep the videos coming your doing a great job. Once again. Major props to you.

You're one of the bravest guys I know, takes so much to talk about things like this. I'm pretty sure that everyone struggles in the same way at some point in their lives.
Hopefully everyone can find their own exit out of that dark place, finding a good friend is the key in my opinion too.

Hey man thanks for the video. We all have our own struggles and at the time we think that our personal issues are the worst in the world. I had a similar time but met someone who helped me put things in perspective. I realised that there are people out there who are suffering unimaginable physical and emotional pain and when putting their situation in context I realised I was actually very lucky. I had my healt, money, food, water, shelter and my family.
Everything worked out great from then on in.

David I know I'm late; I'm another low RUclipsr and this video is something I needed. We car enthusiasts are able to share with these people we bond and develop connections over something that seems "fundamentally mundane" to others and utilizing this to recuperate. I know the feeling of contemplating things and not being socially accepted and I'm here to tell you guys that you shouldn't give up. Cars for us are an extension of our souls ; much like how people have a passion for drawing and they do it as an outlet for their emotions and a way to escape reality. Its "fundamental" things like this that snowball to the greatest of experiences and establish an even greater individual ; knowing that we are human and just when we think we are alone there is someone who has done, been, and experienced the same thing. This is what helps us cope with the troubles of reality and I'm thankful to have seen/met a RUclipsr who can tell a story with such confidence cause I know I would definitely not have done the same in a world where it's hard to be accepted. But I'll leave here with one thing in mind : You ..yes you ! Reading this text although I don't know you you too are human and if you've ever been having bad thoughts and experiences know that your not alone cuz i know someday somewhere there is a person who would need/want you by their side to relate ,so please.... Know that your presence too can be a blessing to others much like David is to me. Thanks for Reading this message and know that even the darkest nights can make even the brightest if stars .Have a Great Day!!! :)

Well David, I can certainly say your videos have helped me get through my toughest times. 2 days before new years in 2013 I had an incident involved my left hand. For 3 months trying to heal, I also gotten the chance to seen who was really there for me when I was in my deepest depression of my life. All I could think about was the medicals bills pilling up and losing my baby...my FRS. But all my family and friends especially ones who share our common interest in cars were there to comfort me. Me best buddy at the time of the incident took care of calling the ambulance and staying by my side til the next day in the hospital for surgery. Afterwards all I could do is stay home and take my medication, but at least your videos entertain me and kept me going and they still do. I look forward to your videos every week.
I agree too that cars have brought many great things in our lives. I've made many friends with the same interest. So happy I've choose to go to school for Mechanical Engineering for an Automotive focus. Car enthusiasts for life!! ThatDudeinBlue

I've lost several friends due to suicide and I've actually tried to do it before too.. there been a lot of times in my life where it's just like darkness and nothing makes sense to me and nothing seems worth it.. like you said, you only have one life, and I've been stupid enough to try and end it, honestly there only two things in this world that I love 1) making people happy 2) cars. Every time I had no one there for me and I was left alone with my thoughts(about 80% of the time), I would come here to RUclips and watch random things about modified cars because there's something about it that just calms me down. I lost my car so unfortunately I kinda lost part of myself and watching a lot of your blogs has actually been helping me a lot. You and I actually have a lot in common and I guess seeing someone that's just like me doing great in life makes me feel better about the future of my own. Thank you

I still struggle with getting through my life each day without getting angry, losing my temper, or breaking down, but little by little it's getting better. I wasn't popular in high school, and though I know quite a few people now, I don't have many friends... but no matter how bad of a day I have at work, and no matter how much I doubt myself, cars always calm me down. Cars meets and going for a cruise on nice days is my release, and I wouldn't be able to live without it. You're a good man, David. Thanks for sharing with us.
