I appreciate the info, I agree with the heavier fluorocarbon to increase the action from the dodger

Very cool. I will have to give braid a try. I have lost fish due to my stinger hook breaking off. Great look lures!👍

I have a question for you. Why do you put the Smile Blade on backwards? I'm curious.....

Very nice solution to the durability of the hook set. Hybrid braid-fluoro lines is inspired. Are you snelling the hooks with braid. If so, please demonstrate the snell knot that you use, given the special knots developed for braid and the wide variety of snell knots. Perhaps you could use a broom stick and rope, for demonstration only, of course. Also, do you slide a large holed bead over the clinch knot between the leader and the eye of the leading hook to protect the knot, similar to the knot at the swivel end? Katie, my fishing wife and lure builder, is quite resistant to trying this technique. I'm going to tie a few myself in the middle of the night and sneak onto the main line while she's looking for Haley's comet. (Private joke).

Actully, I just tie the jooks with braid as I would with mono. Simple mooching rig tie, 1 or 2 finger width separation between hooks. Then as demonstrated with the leader to build the lure onto a simple cinch knot to the top hook eye.

When you tie up your hooks with braid are you using a bait loop type of knot/snell?

what size beads and clives are you using

For beads, 4 & 5mm for Clevis, it varies drpending on blade size, but I try to use plastic when I can. They seem to wear less on the leader.
