Do yourself a favor and set up and clamp a straight edge at the end of your table to butt your long tubes up against and set your cross member along... second... stop using your square where the seam of your tube is, that seam was welded and thus distorted by heat, if you set something flat on that seam you will notice it rocks because it's not flat... honestly, I only use a square to get things close enough and still tweak it afterward with Pythagoras a²+b²=c² (you can even use this to check the accuracy of any square) and lastly when you put your legs on, clamp them down using flushing plates and you will find it much easier to square them up, again using Pythagoras since
A-you are using the seam side of the tube, which is far from flat
And B- it is far more accurate
Any time you are using Pythagoras, you can easily measure out a reference point to measure to... this is handy on very large frames, or when you can't get a tape on the corners since you clamped it to your table

I am sorry I didn’t mean to ignore your comment. I’m just getting back into making videos on RUclips normal welding table is really any size that you need but a good thick plate and being flat is most important.

    I can have 3 corners at 90deg and 4th one won't be 90deg.

Yeah. How much will that be off if a member is only .02 to a thirty second off? If the leg is 5 or six feet, Does the work require the ultra clean municipal look, or athstetic design, use designing elements that hide defects, like standout fill weilds.

Ok now I feel like an idiot. Basic stuff I should have learned before I took a job as a fabricator.

They are terrible. Any particles can throw them off and they don't hold true more than a few inches. For a good fit, I find it better to measure half ways down the tubes using Pythagorean theorem.
