Maybe they can't because the scale of how evil Mephiles is compared to everyone else. He literally controlled the whole games outcome just by getting in the head of silver and shadow. He killed sonic which no other villian has even come close to doing. He is literally named after an actual demon. Every other villian that has been after the 06 ones were weaker and softer to the point they all seem easy to sonic unlike in 06 where they had to use time travel just to do anything to save the universe

Make Infinite a Joker type villain that likes to make fun of the heroes, His Specie should be an hyena instead of a jackal, Can you imagine his Hypothetical creepy laugh? #FunisInfinite
SR Striker He’s Essentially just an evil sonic, I know he has fans and he is interesting, But I’m thinking someone more insane? The Reason why I wanted infinite to be a hyena, Is because they are known for their “laugh” and in Sonic CD There’s a secret message that says fun is infinite, I feel having Scourge in Sonic Forces would’ve been too bloated, And SEGS doesn’t even have the rights of him, You can thank ken penders for that, They could re-introduce him in a different way, Like sonic traveling to an alternate universe where Sonic is Evil and Ivo is Good, He won’t be called scourge to avoid the copyright issue, What do you think I’m curious to read your opinion please, (Thank you for reading.)🙏
Infinite and the Jackal Squad's origin backstory wasn't enough. I wish we can get more backstories for Infinite's past in the near future. But it's not gonna happen.
infinite is not weak he low diffed my boi silver also infinite could have killed sonic if he didnt spare him in there first fight and there second fight

I think the best path to make Infinite better (as he currently is) is to tie him to Mephiles In Sonic Forces 2, focus more on him and his relationship with the Phantom Ruby, (and having the custom character digging through his past and Eggman's research on the ruby to find out how exactly all this came to pass, like maybe the reason he became a mercenary and was obsessed with not being weak is because his family was killed by an outlaw whom he trained to fight and kill or just something else, the point is we learn about his past and find out he wasn't so bad before encountering the Phantom Ruby for the first time) reveal that it is actually talking to him and influencing him and have it talk in his own voice at first so it just looks like he's talking to himself. But as time goes on and he maybe disagrees with Phantom Ruby it starts turning into Mephiles's voice. Explain that Mephiles forged what was left of himself into the Ruby to posses a body (maybe after his other half, the Time Eater, was destroyed) , then after Infinite is defeated Mephile's comments on how your custom character would be a better host and tried to possess you making the surprise final boss of the game (which would normally be Eggman) be Mephiles inside the custom character's mind
Forces 2 will NEVER happen. Forces was a critical disappointment. And even if it did, NOBODY WOULD CARE(except me. Cuz I love infinite. I love his edgy personality. I fucken love him.)
I was writing a story (long since deleted) about a sequel. The Phantom Ruby of Forces was awaken by Mania's Ruby giving out so much power. It drives Eggman insane as it forces a Solid Illusion to walk to Chemical Plant to gather organic material. Tails and Sonic gets word of a Infinite-liked creation wrecking havoc. That was just chapter one. Chapter two, Eggman makes a Metal Infinite shell, in the vein of style as Metal Sonic, his hands bloodied from bending the metal. The ruby is near Eggman's fortress, taunting him about his failures. (The ruby would have gained Infinite's voice as it grows stronger) The Chemical Plant is ravaged, and one of the surviving guards is driven insane by the Illusions she sees (funnily named Jill as she sees zombified versions of her colleagues) the Infinite Illusion taunts both Sonic and Tails. Boss fight ensues. (That's about as far as I got.)
@@matthewwilliams8267 The story sounds good. Here's mine: After Infinite flew away, The Phantom Ruby gem on his chest starts talking to him and tells him to get rid of Shadow. GUN gets intel that Infinite is still alive. Shadow goes to capture him, but Infinite uses his power to make illusions of Shadow's past. Showing Black Doom, Mephilis (Love the character), Gerald, and a zombie Maria. For the 1st time ever, Shadow feels fear.
@@thetruej7872 Actually sounds like a good story, but remember, '06 was completely erased from existence. So no Mephiles, unfortunately. But I think that'll work for a small, in between story. Well, not small, but maybe a 12 issue tie-in comic at the least. Give it that slow burn that '06 gave Solaris. That moment of Jackal Infinite realizing he is TRULY weak and breaking down, understanding he is incapable of using the Ruby to it's fullest, his emotions causing more and more Illusions to manifest, causing Shadow to try and stop him, but there's a flash of magenta light and the only thing left is the Solid Illusions around shadow and the Mania's Ruby.
Despite the poor execution of Infinite I'd say that like Mephiles he's one of my favorite villains in the Sonic series and i do hope he'll get a second chance and not get swept under the rug.
I really hope that Infinite might bounce back like Silver did. I liked Infinite because he reminds me of how serious the sonic series took itself a while back, and it would be interesting if the characters acknowledged how weird he is (especially now he’s not such a deadly threat so they can afford to mock him).
Ok, I can definitely admit he's not as good as a villain as Mephiles, and he definitely got the short end of the stick towards the end of Forces, but I still love him tbh, probably my 2nd favourite Sonic villain (after Mephiles, obviously) (I'd say Eggman (who is definitely third place), but I really like Infinite's voice and design). Hope he comes back for a later game, or I'm gonna riot.
Infinite... Oh Infinite, Infinite, Infinite... He had so much potential as a villain in the Sonic Universe. Forces had potential, but man Sega really just didn't deliver what we'd hope for. I know this video is center around both Infinite and Mephiles, but I'd figured that I'd share a rewritten version of Infinite I commented on a video by Garrulous64. So the story of Infinite. Since his' origin was from a Sonic Web comic I figured I start there. Infinite is a leader of a bunch of bounty hunters (sort of like Boba Fett's crew from one of the episodes from Star Wars the Clone Wars, mainly season 4). However, unlike in the comic where Jackal Squad just attacks Eggman out of nowhere, Infinite pretty much just takes on the Eggman from a job to pay for the bounty on his head that GUN hold for any mercenary and make sure he gets it done, despite that it's just another job to get paid and tune down his "wanted dead or alive" factor like Flynn Rider from Tangled. But the turn out would be different when Eggman uses the Phantom Ruby that gives Infinite some new hopes and dreams, aside from being an "ultimate mercenary" by not just his jobs he did but also his conditions as well like the scare on his right eye and how one eye is blue and yellow. This would be where Eggman asks Infinite who he is, why he's after him, what he seeks, and offer him to join forces to give a run on the land itself (not the world, judging the world map on Sonic Forces). Infinite accepts the offer and he and his crew are placed in as Eggman's elite fighters. Now here's where episode Shadow comes into play, instead of just dialogue of Eggman saying Jackal Squad has been taken out, actually show it and show how they got their butts handed (or possibly died) and change the location from Mystic Jungle to a different part of White Acropolis with the chemical plant near by. Infinite gets cocky in his confidence instead of keeping his insecurity in check and gets not only beaten by Shadow, but also receive some possible injuries to his face (sort of like with Slade Wilson / Deathstroke, but a little different and tone down). You may noticed in my take of Infinite, he's like the Slade / Deathstroke is pretty much a Sonic version of the DC villain. Just look at their masks and see the similarities. Infinite's right eye gets really bruised up and can hardly see at all and his vision just hits it's limit considering the right eye blinded, and the scare starts to somewhat show the marks of the cut. I'm not 100% sure how blindness works, but for the sanity of rolling with the plot, let's just pretend it was strange logic like with Garrett from Quest for Camelot. Just as Shadow retreats, Eggman finds Infinite lying in defeat and brings him back to the lab, and as soon Infinite wakes up, Eggman offers Infinite a offer to become another super weapon like Deadpool and Wolverine with the Phantom Ruby, due to how not only Infinite got his butt beaten seriously, but also his squad was pretty much annihilated. He accepts, changes his original identity and become the new him (like with Anakin with Darth Vader), and manages to become a new one man army weapon. If you're going into the details of some of his fights, instead of having Eggman's robots to use he uses his sword as weapons to fight back, multiplying them if Sonic get any closer to him and throws them at his way. Infinite having a boss fight in Null Space, controlling the world and the environment, to throw Sonic off his game like with Shadow in Episode Shadow and a bit of the first boss fight on the snake. And seeing Infinite as Slade with the mask showing his left eye only, I of course am trying to write Infinite as Sega's version of Slade from DC of personality but in a different way. He would toy with Sonic, play mind games on him with everything and everyone he knows to make him lose hope and or his sanity, in the Null Space he would use it as a huge flash back of the places Sonic visited during his pasted adventures, to show some of his depressing moments (like how Slade did to Robin in the original Teen Titans show when making Robin his apprentice in season 1). In the end, when everything pretty much back fires, he tries to makes sure Sonic dies if he can't see him in pain and suffer like a desperate, pleading man to stop what they're doing. Despite using a lot of energy to create a huge virtual sun, he tries to put up as much of a huge stand off until he's defeated one final time, showing that Infinite over stressed his limit and his new power, that causes him to be forced back into the Phantom Ruby core.
1.) Infinite the Jackal is not coming back anymore, because Sonic and his friends killed him at the end of Sonic Forces (causing the Phantom Ruby to disintegrate him) 2.) If Infinite is off-limits in both Sonic video games and comic books, perhaps someone will replace him in the series (but the question is who and what?) 3.) Shadow the Hedgehog needs another enemy/rival (it can't always be "Sonic" or neither "Dr. Eggman") it has to be someone else.
I hear people suggest that Infinite is supposed to be more powerful based on the ability to disrupt the Chaos Emeralds. But seeing as how most other villains required a Super form to be vanquished it really comes off more as changing attack methods. I have no idea who you're going to compare when you get your last villain out on the field seeing as how Forces was the latest Sonic game.
I think this is a case of the Mephiles curse, any script that Mephiles ends up in will become defiled creating a bad game, even if he's written out the defilement stays. I always knew it was risky naming a fictional demon after a real demon.
If i had to make infinite more of an effective monster, aka a more horrifying villain that would maybe make him seem like he can't turn back. So, I'd connect him with the hero character you make. And making him seem different from infinite is that I'd have him actually having him being two separate identities, however id make a mainline time like write up, being the mainline ending, the multiple time lines would say at some point that, in my rewrite. That infinite seems to be acting weirder, especially since said ruby is doing what it shouldn't be doing, it ends up trapping people in their own fears, or something dark about them. And in the mainline end boss fight with infinite, he would start acting like someone shadow once fought, aka infinite snaps at this point, the boss fight would take place in the illusion world where you have to hit infinite in the chest, if you get his damage down enough then infinite becomes powerless, however some energy from the phantom ruby is left, but not enough to have him fight back, he is weak, vulnerable, he can't fight anymore so this is where he retreats. Anyways, how I'd improve infinite's second boss fight, you have to get his health bar all the way down, and a cutscene would have him starting to have his body physically glitch, the CH would see this and seems like they care for infinite. Thinking infinite is linked with the gem. However infinite slaps him away. And my idea for the first boss fight is that he would show off a bit of illusions, but also use various artillery. The boss fight ends with you damaging him
nope shadow defeated him also sonic could have beat mephiles if only he knows hes coming plus mephiles is just a brain of solaris fighting its not his thing
I feel pretty bad for Infinite. SEGA knew edgy charachters like Shadow and Mephiles were popular, so made the edgiest character ever in Infinite. That's a rare and awsome thing to happen in a game; how many video game characters are there out there made specifically for us fans? They gave us such a cool design and song in Infinite, only for him to be forgotten or overlooked by most fans. How sad. I honestly blame the story of Sonic Forces if anything; this was Infinites grand debut, but due to the story introducing him as such a boringly one-note character who works for Eggman and is powerless without the ruby (which I doubt will be the crown jewel of another game), he doesn't have the character or reason to appear again. Forces was his his first and probably last shot. It's especially sad as Infinite was more memorable in Smash Bros, if anything, since his spirit was really handy. The charachter has potential, which sadly wasn't enough. Oh well. Perhaps in many years people will want him back, until he gets to be a playable character in Sonic mania ++ 🙃
@@lorddanny2988 If you enjoyed it why did you end up taken some many jabs at it? Like what was the point of mentioning lost valley? That had absolutely nothing to do with the subject of the video at all.
@@theironjedi79 Yes it did. Lost Valley was the only thing we did before Infinite defeated Sonic. In Sonic 06, we did 3 whole stories before Mephiles defeated Sonic. My point was that 06 let us get to know Mephiles before he defeated Sonic, while in Forces, we didn't do anything to get to know Infinite before he defeated Sonic.
@@lorddanny2988 Episode Shadow happens before that. And the main difference here is that Infinite had more of a presences in Forces, where as Mephiles would just show up once and awhile in 06 and didn't have any real impact outside of bits of Silver, Shadow, and the final story.
Mephiles is by far the greatest sonic villain because unlike all the other villains the only way to stop him was by erasing his existence! The best way to bring Mephiles is that he had a contingency to where he saved a small part of himself in case he failed he would be able to regenerate and recover his power His biggest advantage just like from the game no one knows who he is and what his intentions are, no telling what he will do but undoubtedly it will be whatever he pleases.
I agree with this! Also BTW, I know that you didn't made the character drawings but is there any way you change your character's expression like making it sad, angry, or a frown? Try a bit more variety with your OC
It would have been cool if in the middle of a fight Infinite throws you into a retro-looking Sonic game level for a few seconds and you have to escape before he kills you there. Danny, the last part I kinda disagree with you there. I don't really think Mephiles would win if he had to fight Infinite. See, you're right it did take all of Shadow's power at the moment to get out of that situation but in any case he did manage to fight Mephiles and win. Infinite, on the other hand can literally make an army of Shadows to fight Mephiles with, illusions that seem so real they can appear to hurt you. So imagine an army of that power fighting Mephiles. Though they can disappear at a touch they are still very strong especially as seen with the giant Metal Sonic. If Mephiles can get that beam to hit Infinite it would be good (but that's *IF* he can hit him with it). Now, the only thing that would hold Infinite back would be that has allegiance to Eggman. But what if he didn't have it especially at that moment? Then naturally he would be even more capable of going all out.
I think that Infinite did have some restrains put on him to keep him under Eggman's control. What restrains? Well, the story tells us, that the Phantom Ruby - which is the sole power Infinite possesses - can only work when it's powered. And I bet that Eggman has full control over when, how, or how much it is powered. So if Infinite disobeyed him, he'd simply take away his powers. And there is nothing Infinite hates more, because he was damaged individual who put his entire identity behind his powers.
Infinite has the potential to better than Mephilies but he was held back by Sonic Forces poor writing. Sonic Forces story does a lot of tell but doesn't show. In a fight, I believe Infinite would win, Sonic, Shadow, & Silver are stronger than they were in 06, Infinite defeated Sonic twice while Mephilies had to sorta cheat.
To be fair Mephiles is so op.....and his goal is so easy.....everything he do make him look stupid. I woude throw sand in her eyes until she cry-BAMM EASY! And a time control OP Overlord with Shadows Face cannot do THAT? Infinite at least relay on a power source what makes him not soo OP but you get it?
Honestly, for me, one thing that Infinites characterization in Forces shows is something I've noticed not many ppl really picked up on, and that he was so quick to ditch his original combat style he seemed to be very experienced with and just go all for powers of Ruby even if he seemed to not understand nor be aware of full potential of them, granted he had like barely several weeks to learn anything but, fact that he already ditched his previous experience with combat shows he is just power-hungry moron, who didn't think of controlling his power but simply unleashing as much of it as possible as fast as possible, when if he was really concerned about being as efficient as possible with his powers, he would probably rather combine his original combat style of swordsman mercenary with ruby illusions to add some extra spice to it, and hell he wouldn't need to wast so much power on illusions if he did just that Like at this point it hurts me that I had an idea for OC with vaguely similar set up for their powers and combat style, for power natural psyker so all the abilities of the classic character of this kind (telekinesis, telepathy, mind-reading or even mind control, illusions etc.) but due to fact this char can't use these powers on crazy levels due to it putting a lot of stress on their neural system they need to supplement them with regular martial combat, and merge the 2 seamlessly into very dangerous combat style, and due to their experience with their power lasting for entire length of their life thye know ins and outs of it well, and would be able to defeat Infinite just by knowing how to defend themselves from Infinites power and how to cut him off from it... and this is stupid that official character is designed so poorly that even my idea, I don't feel t's really high notch, is better....
In a Sonic Forces remake idea I had 2 characters who were like your Knuckles and tails to you being Sonic. 1 was Feather, a resistance aviator. The other was an unknown combatant named, "Heart Beat." The idea with Feather is that at some point in the story all her memories of you and her together become erased- being an android this is something that she'd have to go through to save her from trauma and infected data that could ruin her insides (that last part I added just now). And of course seeing this kind of thing makes some of the resistance have a little in-fighting. The other was Heart Beat, a military experiment as I try to remember. He can't speak so the wisp following him talks for him and he uses sound to attack. Seeing you fight, though, he decides to join your cause.
well I had an idea of my own but rather than adding new characters idea was mainly to repurpose all the characters that are in and make the story more interesting, also the idea was to make Avaart an actual character, not just silent self-insert
@@LilithLonelyHeart Yes. My idea was because with this being a war between all of Sonic's world I thought it was important to do something that would not only add homage to Sonic but let the player experience that kind of life themselves. So it's kinda like you were your own little Sonic heroes but I gave up on that idea. That was in my wilder days.
still, I think that Avatar is enough of an "intrusion" into the cast for this game, being pretty much a "write your won fanfic" deal, and adding 2 more new characters don't feel like a better solution
@@LilithLonelyHeart That's why I gave up on it. I didn't really care about it to be honest but since we're on this topic I might say another one of the reasons I did this was because I only thought it would be nice to have other 2 oc's grow as characters along with your own- like how Sonic met Tails and then how Sonic met Knuckles. So Avatar meets Feather and then Avatar meets Heart Beat. But yeah however it would be fixed would be fine by me. I never was really that great with ideas when it comes to Sonic games. After all my favorite is Sonic CD, the black sheep of Sonic games so I guess it explains my explosive creativity. But in any case I still do like those characters I made and think they'd fit really well into Sonic's world. And tbh I think adding 2 more characters would be harmless- I wouldn't but I still think it wouldn't do anything worse.
You know. I saw an Infinite theory that specifies that Mephiles survived his defeat of Sonic 06, and he created the Phantom Ruby. And that Mephiles is a puppet master of some sort. Explained hire: ruclips.net/video/ch9ldlOzpnQ/видео.html
This is my theory if infinite battle against Mephiles I personally believe that Mephiles will mostly likely to kill infinite because Mephiles has more experiences whenever it comes to battling against its foes and just knows how to do things correctly but the battle won't be as easy because infinite can put up with a good fight Causing illusion and maybe for a little bit made Mephiles weak minded if the jackal chosen to use the phantom ruby powers to search deeply into Mephiles consciousness and manipulates his mind abit but eventually Mephiles will probably manipulate the fight like he did in sonic 06 where he randomly makes copies of himself? To talk with silver giving directions where silvers at And at the end where Mephiles was getting defeated in shadow story as he somehow the real Mephiles was following sonics footsteps to kill him in order for the princess to cry then releasing the flames of destructions So infinite vs Mephiles battle will be an long lasting fight due to other complex
Infinite is probably the biggest let down character in sonic in the past years, maybe even in history. All that build up and intrigue around him, only to find out that he is just some random character with extremely fragile ego, who isn't even the final boss in his own debute game. Tbh, I might be wrong, but it seems that all the villains that are either unaffiliated with or ended up betraying Eggman are MUCH more interesting than those who work for him, with the exception of The Deadly Six.
Honestly I would have preferred for the third battle of infinite that after all of this phantom Ruby corruption he is just transformed into one of the infinite monsters
Shadow and Mephilis use their powers to defeat people. Mephilis did this to Shadow when his guard was down and Shadow did it to Infinite. However this doesn't mean I don't agree with you it's just been something I wanted to say. But Mephilis would most likely win that fight. I say most likely because it hasn't been confirmed but I do believe it anyway.
I Don't Care If It's Not As Long As Infinites, But Seriously, Mephiles At Least Has A Song Meant For Him, YOU USE HIS WHISPER THEME FOR YOUR MEPHILES INTRO!!!
If Infinite wins: Infinite: you're not even worth finishing off *flies away like a bitch* If Mephiles wins: Mephiles: *kills off Infinite without hesitation or saying a word then laughs evilly* ruclips.net/video/p_S_AZrxQGg/видео.html
In terms of power I think it's an even fight although Mephiles would probably win and in terms of how they look, I prefer Infinite but Mephiles is better in every way besides looks in my opinion.
Just one thing- mephiles DOES have a theme song, and its one of the best songs from all sonic games. ruclips.net/video/UJ8PFy-v4vI/видео.html and then you have mephiles whisper
You know what's interesting? Infinite's "Phantom Ruby" thing is actually my heart, in which I've been closed for a pretty long time. But now I'm free from it and now nobody stop me complaing Sega about how her games fucking sucks in nowdays!
I actually disagree. I think Mehpiles is a terrible villain who is so tryhard, edgy and over the top that he is impossible to take seriously with an awful, uninspired design and barely any presence. He has absouletly no motivation, and he's just evil for the sake of being evil. The bigger issue I have with him, however, is that he is an idiot. He is ridiculously broken, as his power to travel thrugh time at will means he can do anything anytime he wants. But, because the writers made him so broken, but they still needed a game to happen, Mephiles spends ten decades meandering around, doing absolutely nothing. Why would he bother with manipulating Silver if he can just kill Sonic himself. Silver just tries it, fails miserably and forgets about it the second his objective changes, so it's not psychologcial games. Mephiles kills Sonic in one hit, so it's not like he couldn't do it himself. This is the first time Sonic and Elise see Silver, so it's not a betrayal that would cause suffering. Why doesn't he just warp all the Chaos emeralds to him? He does it in the Last Story, and if he needed one to fuse with Iblis, he had on since the beggining of the game. Why does Elise need to cry? If he wants to fuse with Iblis why not just go back 10 years into the past when they were first separated, or to the day elise dies, or, oh, IDK, Mephiles could could be in the futre where Inblis is RIGHT THERE?. Why does he bother with Shadow? He could just kill him in one hit from behind as shadow's just as powerful as Sonic, and it's not like Shadow is useful for anything, so why do anything with him aside from killing him before he even realizes that Mephiles exists? Why not just kill during the events of Adventure 2, or Heroes, or Shadow The Hedgehog? It's not like being in the Scepter of Darkness prevents him from doing so, since time travel to the past would work either way. If he wants to, for some ungoldy reason, to manipulate Shadow, why not do it during the events of SA 2 where he already tried to destroy the world, or in Shadow the Hedgehog where he was a blank slate willing to listen to anyone. Does he want to split Team Dark in order to limit their threat to himself? The game never tells us. Overall, Mephiles is a giant dumbass leading a bunch of even bigger dumbasses around the game, doing basically nothing until the last 10 minutes of the game Meanwhile Infinite, to me at least, feels like a decunstruction of Mephiles. He's laughably broken, is ridiculously petty, has no character, is a complete idiot and he's basically a 2004 Deviantart OC of an edgy 12 year old. Except, Infinite actually shows what being in a game with three most intelligent still alive characters in the series (Tails, Shadow and Eggman) would do to Mephiles' plan. The game makes it very clear that Infinite is not in control. Sonic doesn't take him seriously, because, why should he? He's a theatrical jackass who gets his ass whopped by a random kid. In fact, in certain areas, Infinite succeds in areas where Mephiles failed. The whole point of his character is to show how laughable and pathetic he is. The game hammers it in, time and time again, that Infinite is really just a gigantic jerk with an ego the size of the Soviet Union yet more fragile than a house made out of soaked paper mache,. The fact that the Jackal Squad apparently dies yet Inifnite only cares bout being defeated by Shadow shows just how narcissistic and arrogant he is. All of this serves to make Infinite a foil to Sonic, who respects friendship, is selfless and cares about others. Compare their defeats. Mephiles, a,k,a Solaris is only truly defeated after all of time is reset and he never even existed. while this does give us a message about letting things go for the greater good, it is ultimately an unsatysfying finale that means all you did was for nothing. It doesn't actualyl gives us a concievable way to fight evil like all the previous endings of the games did. Infinite is easily killed by Sonic and the Avatar working together, despite wielding the power of the Phantom Ruby. This actually has a pretty good message, that blind power and bloodlust is basically useless, as actually helping others and trusting your peers holds potential far exceeding the power that Infinite wields. He's shown to be insecure and useles and dies as soon as the Resistance gains an advantage, while Eggman actually does stuff and goes out with a bang, showing that being in control is far more powerful than being a brain dead killing machine. So Infinite actually gives two valuable lessons that are very much useful. I get it, it sounds cringy, but this is ultimately a game for children and kids deserve to be shown good morals and lessons. Sorry for the hyper long rant, I hope somebody will agree with me. If they don't, that is completely fine, because ultimately, preferring Mephiles over Infinite is just as valid of an opinion as preferring Infinite over Mephiles. It's a comparison between two ultimately flawed villains from a series about a funny blue rodent, nobody will get cancer from someone else having a different opinion. This is still a great video that brings up valid points and clearly had a ton of effort and care put into it. It is very much a matter of perspective in this case. Again, I'm not saying you're wrong for liking Mephiles, it's just that taking a different perspective and coming to an opposite conclusion is a perfectly valid way to discuss things.

Mephiles has actually powers. Infinite just has a rock glued to his chest.
I think it would be awesome if Mephiles returned and took in Infinite as an apprentice. Imagine what the two of them could accomplish together.

The Reason why I wanted infinite to be a hyena,
Is because they are known for their “laugh” and in Sonic CD There’s a secret message that says fun is infinite,
I feel having Scourge in Sonic Forces would’ve been too bloated,

You failed Infinite, you were supposed to be so much more but instead you failed. Thanks Sega.
Maybe if Sonic Forces had competent writers, they could make Infinite an interesting villain.
Infinite and the Jackal Squad's origin backstory wasn't enough. I wish we can get more backstories for Infinite's past in the near future.
But it's not gonna happen.
The reason Infinite was so easy was because he's Weak. That's why.
infinite is not weak he low diffed my boi silver also infinite could have killed sonic if he didnt spare him in there first fight and there second fight

I think the best path to make Infinite better (as he currently is) is to tie him to Mephiles
In Sonic Forces 2, focus more on him and his relationship with the Phantom Ruby, (and having the custom character digging through his past and Eggman's research on the ruby to find out how exactly all this came to pass, like maybe the reason he became a mercenary and was obsessed with not being weak is because his family was killed by an outlaw whom he trained to fight and kill or just something else, the point is we learn about his past and find out he wasn't so bad before encountering the Phantom Ruby for the first time) reveal that it is actually talking to him and influencing him and have it talk in his own voice at first so it just looks like he's talking to himself.
That would be pretty sweet
Infinite to me is the MCU Mysterio of Sonic
Honestly, Infinite should have used his powers like Mysterio did.
Here's mine:
After Infinite flew away, The Phantom Ruby gem on his chest starts talking to him and tells him to get rid of Shadow.

Wha-
What-
I wish Sega could make a video game spin-off and a better story for Infinite the Jackal.
I really hope that Infinite might bounce back like Silver did. I liked Infinite because he reminds me of how serious the sonic series took itself a while back, and it would be interesting if the characters acknowledged how weird he is (especially now he’s not such a deadly threat so they can afford to mock him).
mephiles the dark is awesome
Ok, I can definitely admit he's not as good as a villain as Mephiles, and he definitely got the short end of the stick towards the end of Forces, but I still love him tbh, probably my 2nd favourite Sonic villain (after Mephiles, obviously) (I'd say Eggman (who is definitely third place), but I really like Infinite's voice and design). Hope he comes back for a later game, or I'm gonna riot.
theultimategamer95 I doubt it cuz I feel like Sega won't bring him back cuz of the hate of Sonic forces
I respect that. Infinite was still pretty neat, and a awesome theme. He might come back in the game/series/ or comics.
“I’m much too powerful for this world- gah ooh ah eeh ah”
Chad Mephiles vs Virgin Infinite
1.) Infinite the Jackal is not coming back anymore, because Sonic and his friends killed him at the end of Sonic Forces (causing the Phantom Ruby to disintegrate him)
2.) If Infinite is off-limits in both Sonic video games and comic books, perhaps someone will replace him in the series (but the question is who and what?)
3.) Shadow the Hedgehog needs another enemy/rival (it can't always be "Sonic" or neither "Dr.

Then Zavok would be the failed Erazor. Or even the failed Mecha Sonic. No, the Heavy King is the failed Mecha Sonic.

Infinite is a great character.
Sonic Forces' storytelling and bosses ruined it.

*FLASHBACKS TO ULTRON KILLING THANOS*
Mepiles creates monsters that shoot lazers
Ghaster blasters
Mephilise was an actual monster, meanwhile infinite was just over dramatic and not in a good way
If i had to make infinite more of an effective monster, aka a more horrifying villain that would maybe make him seem like he can't turn back.
The boss fight ends with you damaging him
Let's just face it mephiles can kill anybody with one hit 😏

Sweet vid!
But infinite is not weakkkkkkkkkkkk Aaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this is why I have a fan fiction dedicated to Mephiles being the main villain and brought back Infinite.
Danny, Maphiles does have a theme song. You made it remember?
I can some up this entire video in two words... "forces bad".
I enjoyed Forces tho lol
@@theironjedi79 Episode Shadow was DLC and was designed to be played after the main game.
Mephiles is by far the greatest sonic villain because unlike all the other villains the only way to stop him was by erasing his existence!
The best way to bring Mephiles is that he had a contingency to where he saved a small part of himself in case he failed he would be able to regenerate and recover his power
His biggest advantage just like from the game no one knows who he is and what his intentions are, no telling what he will do but undoubtedly it will be whatever he pleases.
me:reads title* also me:"THE WHAT"
I agree with this!
Infinite had so much wasted potential it literally makes me mad
Hmm yes lore of failed Mephiles momentum 100
To be fair Mephiles is so op.....and his goal is so easy.....everything he do make him look stupid. I woude throw sand in her eyes until she cry-BAMM EASY! And a time control OP Overlord with Shadows Face cannot do THAT? Infinite at least relay on a power source what makes him not soo OP but you get it?
Mephiles does have a theme song. It's just not a rock song. It's called Mephiles Whispers.
Honestly, for me, one thing that Infinites characterization in Forces shows is something I've noticed not many ppl really picked up on, and that he was so quick to ditch his original combat style he seemed to be very experienced with and just go all for powers of Ruby even if he seemed to not understand nor be aware of full potential of them, granted he had like barely several weeks to learn anything but, fact that he already ditched his previous experience with combat shows he is just power-hungry moron, who didn't think of controlling his power but simply unleashing as much of it as possible as fast as possible, when if he was really concerned about being as efficient as possible with his powers, he would probably rather combine his original combat style of swordsman mercenary with ruby illusions to add some extra spice to it, and hell he wouldn't need to wast so much power on illusions if he did just that
Like at this point it hurts me that I had an idea for OC with vaguely similar set up for their powers and combat style, for power natural psyker so all the abilities of the classic character of this kind (telekinesis, telepathy, mind-reading or even mind control, illusions etc.) but due to fact this char can't use these powers on crazy levels due to it putting a lot of stress on their neural system they need to supplement them with regular martial combat, and merge the 2 seamlessly into very dangerous combat style, and due to their experience with their power lasting for entire length of their life thye know ins and outs of it well, and would be able to defeat Infinite just by knowing how to defend themselves from Infinites power and how to cut him off from it... and this is stupid that official character is designed so poorly that even my idea, I don't feel t's really high notch, is better....
Infinite was so disappointing. His character design was wasted on bad writers and a budget Sonic title.
You know. I saw an Infinite theory that specifies that Mephiles survived his defeat of Sonic 06, and he created the Phantom Ruby. And that Mephiles is a puppet master of some sort.
Explained hire: ruclips.net/video/ch9ldlOzpnQ/видео.html
Shadow generations backs it up. But the Ruby could be its own person entirely upon its creation.
Infinite called for his Ruby back. It was too weak
This is my theory if infinite battle against Mephiles
I personally believe that Mephiles will mostly likely to kill infinite because Mephiles has more experiences whenever it comes to battling against its foes and just knows how to do things correctly but the battle won't be as easy because infinite can put up with a good fight
Causing illusion and maybe for a little bit made Mephiles weak minded if the jackal chosen to use the phantom ruby powers to search deeply into Mephiles consciousness and manipulates his mind abit but eventually Mephiles will probably manipulate the fight like he did in sonic 06 where he randomly makes copies of himself? To talk with silver giving directions where silvers at
And at the end where Mephiles was getting defeated in shadow story as he somehow the real Mephiles was following sonics footsteps to kill him in order for the princess to cry then releasing the flames of destructions
So infinite vs Mephiles battle will be an long lasting fight due to other complex
No Mephiles is in the game he was the Phantom Ruby all along
Cool idea
Not only is Mephiles better than Infinite, but 06 is by FAR better than Forces. There. I said it. At least 06 wasn't bland as fuck
So is the phantom ruby linked to mephiles and time eater its purple and glowy.... dunno?
Edgy

Well I like mephiles
Shadow and Mephilis use their powers to defeat people. Mephilis did this to Shadow when his guard was down and Shadow did it to Infinite. However this doesn't mean I don't agree with you it's just been something I wanted to say. But Mephilis would most likely win that fight. I say most likely because it hasn't been confirmed but I do believe it anyway.

I Don't Care What People Thinks, Both Are 50/50 For Me

You know what's interesting? Infinite's "Phantom Ruby" thing is actually my heart, in which I've been closed for a pretty long time. But now I'm free from it and now nobody stop me complaing Sega about how her games fucking sucks in nowdays!
Ya infinite it's better the main reason is that he's WEAK!!!
The people that disliked have a crush on infinite HE IS ANNOYING my opinion tbh
Overall, Mephiles is a giant dumbass leading a bunch of even bigger dumbasses around the game, doing basically nothing until the last 10 minutes of the game
Meanwhile Infinite, to me at least, feels like a decunstruction of Mephiles.
