Thank you for this video Dr Starr. I am exploring different fields of medicine as I decide which residency to apply to and this video was extremely informative!

Loving the ice heat and steam treatments… that helps pain (mental and physical) more than the strongest medicines sometimes… sometimes…

Looking for a great one yet again… had almost 13 years clean before the age of 30. My case is a bit more complex. I am thinking of going to school but not sure on how many years this will take. You are a hero and we appreciate all that you do ❤ thanks for sharing your journey doc

Hey what would you say is the quickest way to become an addiction medicine physician is a sub specialty so I can’t decide what to specialize in, thanks this video was nice 👍

Addiction Medicine now requires a 1 year fellowship. ( I think). Your primary board doesn't matter. Lots of FM, IM, EM , Psych ,and Anesthesia people.

Hi, Ken. I'm an aspiring addiction medicine doctor and looking for some guidance on next steps after my undergraduate career. Let me know if you can hop on a call; I'd love to chat and pick your brain a bit.

What was the purpose of the video really? I couldn't make it to the end so maybe I missed an exciting finish...lol

Well…the purpose is in the title of the video…that you clicked onto. It’s just A Day in the Life. To give everyone a peak into what a day is like for a doctor who is an addiction specialist.
      That’s it. Not rocket science.

@@carolynloughran5450But why the near naked parts of him in the sauna and tub of water? I am not a prude, but really......what is the purpose of that and being an addiction medicine doctor? I mean I do not think anyone watching the video did it in the intenion of seeing a middle aged man naked.
