This guy is good, I understood it right away! Most teachers automatically assume the student’s brain works the same way theirs does. They think people who do poorly at math are just lazy and undisciplined. So rather than change their words, they just repeat them more loudly which accomplishes precisely 00000000. Hey, I did it!

MATE!! I'm currently doing a University course in Cyber Security and this is how the University tried to explain it to me:
Converting between binary ands decimal works as follows:
Table showing the decimal values in a binary byte
Write the binary byte value in the top row of squares
Add the decimal values in any columns where a binary 1 appears
The result is the decimal equivalent of the binary number
When programming computers other numbering systems can be used. Each alternate numbering system also uses a multiple of two as its base, as ultimately all programming must be converted back into electricity (and therefore binary) before it is actually processed by the CPU. The common alternate numbering systems are:
Octal - base-8 using digits between 0 and 7 (8 = 23)
Hexadecimal - base-16 using the digits 0 to 9 and the letters A to F (16 = 24)
You may notice that the hexadecimal value FF is equivalent to 255 in decimal - the same as an 8-bit binary byte consisting of all ones.
